    Won Ton Soup
    Cheryl W.

I moved from Coral Springs to Coconut Creek and there are many Great chinese food places in that area, but I am now in search of one I can get my chinese food from closer home, got a flyer about those place in the door at home so I gave it a shot.... and unfortunately this place named Great Wall really wasn't even close to being great. The wonton soup was extremely bland no flavor at all just watery.. The wonton's them self were smaller than any Wonton Ton soup I have had. There was no flavor it was water.... And the fried noodles were stale... My next taste was their dinner size beef and broccoli and pork fried rice...The pork fried rice had no pork in it... there were really no veggies, maybe 4 peas and I think a piece of a carrot I saw... the rice was mushy and over cooked it was more of a rice pilaf than a pork fried rice. The fortune cookie was blah tasting.. the egg roll was ok was crispy not overcooked but something taste wise was again missing.. They also use a very different Duck Sauce than I am used to.. the two packets I used were thin and runny.. So no ...wont be back here once was enough. Sad, as I drove to their place because they had someone hand deliver their menu to a gated community in hopes of getting more people to eat their cooking, but why... it's really not that great in my opinion.

Friendly staff at the counter, it's a laid back vibe with plenty of options. I went with the basic order which was a chicken fried rice, an order of fried chicken wings and an order of spring rolls. The fried rice and spring rolls were good, but the wings wasn't all of that. I've had better but it's my first time at this location and I like to give everyone a fair chance to impress me. So I'll be back soon to try other options. More to come.......

It's not oily like some asian places. The food is flavorful and made to order. Large portions. Miso soup so delish. And the tempura is amazing. They serve beer, smoothies and boba teas. Gotta try the passion fruit one!! The service is quick, friendly and super helpful to make the dining experience just how you like it. The vWorld Cup was playing on a huge screen. Spacious dining area with booths and tables. Take out and online ordering. If you like fresh, flavorful food that is delicious and affordable you absolutely must check out Koto. There was only one other person in there when we were seated. I got the sesame chicken with a side of noodles instead of rice (the noodles are a $3 upcharge) and we also got the veggie delight. For the prices, the portion size is an actual joke. The sesame chicken with the noodles was $23! For 7 pieces of chicken! And the veggie delight....vegetables and rice....$17. The worst part is that the food is just not good. The chicken, again, very weird texturally and a $3 for noodles in soy sauce? I expected it to be mixed with veggies or something. The veggies in the veggie delight were hard and bland. We also ordered a strawberry Boba and the color was crazy red and strange looking. The kid we ordered it for wouldnt drink it because it tasted weird (and she has strawberry Boba all the time). For these three items we paid over $50. Laughable. I dont understand how this place can stay in business much longer.

We had a wonderful lunch here…read more They weren't busy when we came in. Just a couple other tables were occupied. One room is the regular dining room, and the other is a huge sushi bar taking up the length of the restaurant. The restaurant is a Korean restaurant with Sushi and Dim Sum and a few other Chinese meals. The regular menu is large. Plus, if you are there during the week, ask for their lunch menu. My husband ordered their sushi bento box from the lunch menu. It came with a house salad with ginger dressing and miso soup to start. The salad was crisp, and he liked the ginger dressing. The miso soup was served hot and had pieces of tofu in it. The bento box had 5 pieces of sushi and a half hamachi roll (he could have also chosen a half tuna instead). He said the fish was very fresh and delicious. I started with an avocado salad -- from the main menu. It had a lot of slices of avocado on top of the lettuce with cucumbers and tomato. There was a vinegar-based dressing on top of the salad. It was good, but I preferred the ginger dressing which I got a bit of on the side. Then I ordered a few items from the Dim Sum section of the menu. I started with their turnip cake. It was perfectly cooked on the outside and soft and creamy inside. It's one of my favorites and usually if they do this one well, then all the others are good. I'd wanted to try their shrimp stuffed eggplant or the crispy shrimp with taro but they didn't have any of these in house. So I had their classic steamed crystal shrimp dumplings. I liked these as well. We had very good and friendly service throughout. We even got a taste of two of their kimchi's as a comp offering. There are a number of Korean dishes and combos with different soups and grilled meats and fishes that we'd like to try. I know we will be back here -- I'm hoping that it is sooner rather than later.

All the fish was very good and they use fresh yellowfin which is a big plus. I also had an appetizer of Korean pork dumplings which were simple and tasty. Unfortunately they didn't have Uni or any of the fish bellies. The chef said they couldn't buy them bc they're brand new and don't have the customers yet. Hopefully they'll speculate soon, bc people aren't going to be happy when they do show us and several top offerings are unavailable. I will definitely be back and I look forward to trying Korean entrees and dim sum soon. Ambience is nice and comfortable.

I ordered the spicy edamame as an appetizer. I ordered the Duck Bao Bun, which is absolutely fantastic as well. For dinner I ordered a two-piece Maguro sushi. The fish literally melted in my mouth. I had the Spicy Hotake Maki as well, it was absolutely fantastic. I will say though if you want a nice cold room go to the back. The open the doors in the middle and it is very humid by the bar and seating there. The food really delivered. The crispy tuna, mandu, chop chae with big short rib, and steak were all so delicious and flavorful. I would come back here in a heartbeat. The sushi ice cream really hit the home run to end our meal. The only knock I will say though was the drinks and the service. He was hit or miss, almost impossible to find. He rarely checked up on us. The cocktail menu was just okay too.
