Not appropriate for a family restaurant

I've enjoyed having lunch here for years. After getting this fortune cookie today, I'll not be returning Not appropriate for a family restaurant Thank you for addressing this issue!! I appreciate your response and, as you responded, will certainly be back in to enjoy your restaurant.

Haven't been here since my last visit and I must say that it was much better than last time. My server Justine was just amazing she was so polite and great with the kids and my service dog. Food was good specially the stir fry was done really well. Some items where a bit cold on the buffet but over much happier with this visit.

    A lite bit of everything!

So much yum! Originally, not my favorite in Boise. The main reason is the Hot n Sour soup. Really, it isnt great. But... Keep reading, it gets better! This buffet is unique in that they offer a wok service, much like Mongolian BBQ but more chinese-ish. They have meats (including shrimp!), veggies and noodles. Pick what you like and add wok sauce (Cantonese salty or Sweet BBQ) and they cook it up. Lighter and more bland than your typical Mongo. But authentic and fresh. You can taste the flavor of the food vs. Sauces. Then there is the actual buffet. Smaller than selections at City Buffet or the other Chinese buffet here in Boise.... but their choices are fresh, tasty and generally ideal varieties. I'd say... they are solid choices. The "salad bar" has pudding, jello, bananas with red stuff and orange slices... Again, ideal choices that seem to be in places like this. So... get through all that, desert. I won't lie, normally when I go to buffets of this variety I don't really care about dessert. However, with great wall, I try to leave a little extra room. 1st of all, they have sliced cake and pies both in a refrigerated cabinet and curio that offers nearly as much of these in a varying variety of flavors that it almost seems like you can have a harder time of selection with dessert than you could with your meal. They also have saw serve and frozen ice cream. Then, unexpected for a Chinese buffet, they had toppings. It wasn't a whole lot but it was enough to make me actually want ice cream and I took me 2 scoops of mint chocolate chip and fudge on top and added peanuts... and was a way over stuffed and happy lady.

5/5 Stars -- Kung Fu Flavor with a Side of Calorie Guilt!…read more Let me tell you something, Panda Express, you magnificent noodle slingers of West Boise--your Chow Mein is like a Bruce Lee roundhouse kick straight to my taste buds. Those sizzling noodles are loaded with enough savory goodness to make me want to sign up for martial arts classes just to keep up with the flavor assault. But hold up--I'm not here to praise you unconditionally. Those calories in the Chow Mein? Let's just say I need a workout regimen that would make a Shaolin monk weep tears of carbs. Every bite tastes like victory, but my waistline is waving a tiny white flag in surrender. And the Beijing Beef? Sweet merciful dragonfire, that's a crispy, tangy, sweet-and-spicy explosion that deserves its own action movie. I nearly burst into applause after every crunchy bite--like I was at the finale of a Michael Bay film, minus the car chase. Delivery? FAST. Food? HOT. Like, so fast and hot I half expected the driver to drop in from the ceiling on a zipline with a wok in one hand and a ninja star in the other. The red peppers? Sweet and crunchy--like candy that learned martial arts. But let's talk about that Chinese mustard, shall we? Yawn. That was the culinary equivalent of a flat tire on a high-speed chase--dull, boring, and so flavorless I wondered if my taste buds had checked out early. It was like expecting a flamethrower but getting a wet noodle instead. Still, every other bite felt like a delicious battle--and I'm here for it. Panda Express, you are my guilty pleasure, my sweet-and-spicy kryptonite, and the unstoppable culinary force that keeps my taste buds high-kicking and begging for more.

What an amazing lunch my wife and I had today at Bombay Grill…read more We were there for a lunch event and boy are we glad we went. Let's start with my favorite, the butter chicken. The chicken was super tender. The sauce was exceptionally flavorful and the spice level was mild enough to not fry your tastebuds. There were so many delicious dishes (tandoori chicken, chicken tikka, vegetable curry, lamb and so much more) which is not surprising considering the award winning chef. Hasan, the Manager / owner went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and to let us know the history of the dishes we were eating and his family's journey that brought them (thank God) to the treasure valley. This place is a treasure in the Boise area and should not be missed whether you are ordering a phenomenal takeout, having a spectacular lunch or grabbing a one of a kind dinner. If you want a great, flavor filled dining experience you have got to try Bombay Grill

Pros: * They have a nice and popular lunch buffet (which comes with personal fresh naan) * The Naan is decent * The Tikka Masala has a nice flavor * Portions are large * Food comes out fast * They are open on Sundays Cons: * Service can be scattered... sometimes it is good, sometimes inconsistent depending on how busy it is * Music can be a bit loud / high energy * Last few times I was there, I had a lazy fly circling my table * The rice doesn't taste that good... rice is so cheap, so the owners should upgrade to a better basmati for a quick boost in quality * If you want something with any heat, you have to order Indian spicy/hot (as the regular "Spicy" tastes more like medium. I have never ordered above this though so I am worried it might jump to being too hot. * Some of the dishes I find favorable (especially the cream ones, but some of them are a bit bland (like the Vindaloo, Curries and Rogan Josh). They are still enjoyable, but if I order a Vindaloo I want it to pop. Overall, a solid place for dine in or takeout. I would recommend the lunch buffet if you want to try this place out first before committing to a larger meal.

He grabs the silverware, no plates and walks to a table and throws the silverware on the table & walked off. The server was terrible as well. Always had to go find her for plates & refills & would not take the dirty dishes. During our meal there was a shift change and we cheered for the new server. Younger Hispanic gentleman that was awesome. Seriously though everytime we go there George is always there and rude as hell. He needs to remember if customers were not going there he would be out of a job & no money: a couple years ago I made arrangements with the manager for a birthday party. The manager was out of town the day of the party but George tells me I said this amount of people were going to be here & there was not so he was going to charge me $228 extra. Some of the people at the party came to early and paid for themselves so I told him he could refund them since I paid for their meals then. I told him that I can't go to these peoples homes and drag them to the party @ Golden Corral. Towards the end of the party the assistant manager asked to speak to me. He said George of the jungle was wrong for what he did and he was refunding me the money. George just needs to GO!!
