So for reference, I'm Japanese and Korean, and I cook both cuisines at home for my family, and I needed something that reminded me of the Dak Bulgogi I made recently. Well I went here with some friends and was quite puzzled. The seasoning for this "Korean" dish tasted extremely Japanese. Korean dishes tend to have a different seasoning to appeal to Korean tastes, and I was hit with a lot of Japanese chicken vibes. I will say the price was affordable and the portion was appropriate. But if your looking for Korean food, go venture somewhere else, like Seoul BBQ. Biwako is Japanese

Solid value. We had dinner for two. Good service, good fare and large selection. No wait. Fast service, and tasty. Consider something from "All Time Favorites" on page-7 of menu. The apps are good too. The noise was not too much. The energy was lively for Monday night. The carry out is what pays the bills--they run a brisk business.

    Very diverse roll choices.

For a few years, I came here every weekend. It's a cute little place in an unassuming strip mall. Although Godaiko is my current favorite, this place has many positive attributes. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, even the owner. All orders come with free miso soup and salad with a choice of dressing. They are the perfect size as appetizers. Their rolls are extensive and very aesthetically pleasing, some of them Are absolute works of art. My favorite rolls were often the specials, the eagle, white Tiger and Marilyn Monroe. I will return when I'm in the area again.

I was so excited to learn Saline was getting a sushi restaurant! Ann Arbor is certainly filled with sushi options and it's great to have another one in our neighboring community. Overall the rolls & miso we ordered were good! Our biggest qualm with this order is the rice was on the dry side which made the roll fall apart as you picked it up. A small complaint but the plastic leaf in all of our boxes is not needed, it didn't add anything to our dishes & is a waste of single use plastic. On the bright side, all of the ingredients (minus the rice) were fresh and tasty. We had salmon, tuna & crab, all delightful; the rolls were stuffed as well. It's unfortunate I can't award more stars but rice is the main component here and it's so easily done, I'm not sure if it was a busy day or what happened. We might give them another try in the future!

    Great Miso.

We enjoyed this cozy spot in Saline before the movie. The sushi and Bimipop was very good and service excellent!

Everything is amazing. Always. My adult kids love the selection of sushi and I could drink the ginger dressing by the bucket fulls.

My family has been coming here since the Novi location and now that that one closed (so tragic), we love the Ann Arbor spot. I saw so many people posting about this place on Insta and decided to come out and see if it was worth the hype. It was very worth the hype, the food was absolutely delicious! Due to wanting to try everything, as always, I ordered tons and way too much and ended up with several boxes, bags, and meals. I had a couple drinks, I think they were the x-rated passion and the pear sakitini. They were good, very floral. We started with their soup and salad, which were standard and good. We had so much salad, I did box it up for a couple more meals. Then we tried the crispy chicken buns. They were so good. Since I had so much to eat, we each got one, and it took me two days to finish mine. The chicken was crispy, and I like how the bun was fluffy but also a bit crispy on the outside. We also tried their iconic tuna nachos. The chips were really good. I would have loved a wanton chip instead, as other places do it, but the tuna was so buttery. It was almost as good as the tuna in Hawaii and French Polynesia. I liked to roe and avocado, which was also so creamy. We had a couple sushi rolls. We got the spider roll. It was so crispy and very well make, and the California roll with the kani salad and avocado, no cucumber, which perfect since child hates cucumbers and normally picks them out. It was very fresh and delicious. We also tried their wagyu burger and fries. I personally cannot tell the difference between types of beef, but it was an extremely flavorful, well-cooked burger. We split it in three, and it took a few days to finish my portion. The real star from that meal was the tempura French fries, they were so good and crispy, and very unique. Those are really a must order. We also tried the teriyaki chicken and broccoli. We recently had some very mediocre teriyaki chicken, and I was afraid it was going to taste like that looking at the dish, but it was not. It was so well cooked and flavorful and so was the veg, don't judge a meal on it's looks. It was worth ordering again. But the real, real reason why I was here was for their famous flying lobster noodles. That was really worth the drive. Their noodles were smokey and flavorful, and a large portion it took several meals and three people to finish it. I liked the addition of shrimp with the lobster and it was not fishy, so those of us who do not eat fish could still enjoy the noodles. That is something I would order every time. Funny, I did not realize both of their children were on Food Network, but I did watch those shows at the time. I hear the noodles were in honor of the daughter's show, so thanks for allowing us to taste your amazing looking dish. On the other hand, the service was really only fair. I read other reviews and while the servers were good, they did not really seem to want to engage with us verbally or talk to us. They were very lukewarm at best, even though the rest of their service was great. They were attentive, but not friendly. I do want to come back and order it all over again and then some, so I hope to return soon. This was a really fun place.

Food tasted great!…read more We got the Beef Brisket and Ribeye Steak for BBQ. We also ordered the Pork Belly plate and the Kimchi Pancake. We tried to sit where there was good ventilation because we brought our baby with us. Unfortunately, we felt the gas smell was still pretty strong (we covered the stroller because that was the best we could do). Service was kinda hard because we sat in the middle section and they didn't always look over. The servers were friendly but it was hard to get their attention at first to order. The banchan (side dishes) were okay. But the beef brisket & the ribeye steak were delicious!! They make their Kimchi Jeon (kimchi pancake) really well because it was crispy and the ingredients were mixed perfectly! The Pork belly plate was also good and had a good mix of veggies and sauces. We would come back!

I would rate this 3.5 stars…read more I was in Ann Arbor for a 1 night business trip. My colleague and I were tired and didn't want to drive. Seoul Garden was a 5-minute walk from the hotel, so we tried it out. It was a large place with lots of room and a small bar. Some of the tables were set up for Korean BBQ, which we didn't try because you need two people, and my colleague doesn't eat meat. My colleague is a vegetarian, and he had a lot of choices. He tried a vegetarian version of the Bibimbap. He thought it was good, properly prepared, and flavorful. I tried the spicy pork with onions in a red sauce. It was good and hearty. It really wasn't spicy at all, which was a bit of a letdown. The dishes came with a small amount of rice and a number of sides like kimchi and other vegetables. They also had a full liquor license. They made a really good Mai Tai. The value was also very good. The two meals, sides, and one Mai Tai were $55.
