I would have absolutely loved to give this place 5 stars, and definitely would have but the length of time for when we received our entrees was not something we could turn a blind eye to. We came in on a Friday night, party of 6 and had reservations for 7:30. We were seated promptly once our party arrived. There was live music which was a wondeful touch and there were two very big parties which I assume were the reason for the back up in the kitchen, but regardless, it shouldn't have taken a hour after we ate our appetizers to get our food. Service was okay, I think our server was overloaded and it is a pretty tight space in the area we were seated at, but other wise it isn't that cramped. I only say service was okay because we weren't checked in at all during that time we waited for our entrees. Now let's get to the food, there's no complaints there other than how sign it too the food to come out bit let me tell you, to be at a sit down restaurant with portions that big, the prices were very very good. Our group ordered 3 gyro bowls, one lamb chop bowl, onwle grilled chicken bowl and one grilled chicken wrap(this was delayed even more as our server approached our friend and let him know his food fell and so they were making him a new one ASAP, thankfully it only delayed us less than 10 minutes).The whole vibe definitely transports you to Greece and the music certainly helps add to that wonderful atmosphere. I will definitely be back, but will manage my expectations with the food wait time. read more

We came for dinner and the inside is so lovely and lively music playing. We were seated as soon as we arrived and our server Wichita was so attentive. He even asked if we wanted our appetizers first and then the main dishes later. We ordered the Saganaki (came with a little fire show) which came with pita breads and the lemon potato's were crispy flavorful and not too sour. It was a good start into our main dishes. We got the fitness plate that came with chicken skewers, veggie skewer, cucumbers, tzatziki sauce and hummus and Baba Ganoush *chefs kiss* the chicken was so tender. For the combo platter you get to choose from the list of meats - we chose filet mignon and lamb (again the meats were tender and the lamb was not gamy at all!) We had a good dinner with attentive servers and good vibes. Leaving happy and will come back again for sure! read more

Honestly, this place is one of my favorite surprises. I passed by it once while watching a movie at the special theater across the way, and I just couldn't bear but to linger at their beautiful decorations. Elegant, pretty, like you just stepped into the Mediterranean, with little fake olive trees. Once I started going to an office nearby, I decided to make it more of a constant because I craved Spanakopita so often. We've had the hummus, Spanakopita, the Saganaki and our own choices. Mine was a Gyro. The food is delicious. I'm so happy to have these choices with them and really made me realize I liked Greek food (this is the first Greek restaurant I've been to). The drinks, just as good and standard. There's always some people, but not incredibly crowded, so it feels just comfortable enough. Perfectly comfortable. The first time I went, the service was great, but this last time I went was WEIRD. Our server was Wichita(?). At first, he was super helpful and nice with a really large smile. Now, I'm guessing that he had such a large smile because he was forcing it because he was fine all the way until the bill. When it came out, I told him I never got my Greek coffee that I ordered halfway through . I had realized it earlier but didn't realize it was such a big deal that I should've let them know because I decided I didn't want it anyway. To my surprise, Wichita seemed overly upset about it? Going "What the heck" and abrasively leaving and I caught him muttering "I have to go change it now" as he left. When he came back, no apology, no mention, just "I got it off for you". I didn't bother thanking him but my other did. And then when we left, my other said he saw Wichita give himself a high rating on the machine when it was supposed to be asking us. This won't deter me from enjoying everything else about this place. But I will definitely ask away from Wichita if I get him again. read more

I didn't think much of this place but, I saw it on Google maps and it looked good and was close by. Coming in, was something simple and elegant, keeping the 'Greek' idea going through with ease blues and whites with hint of wood. The service was impeccable and very welcoming, even chaee handeling every request we had and even bringing in the energy with a flambe. When the night rolled in, they opened one of the doors to get the breeze in. We ordered the fitness special and wow, it was really good. Coming in, with what felt like an appetizer and entre combined in a elegant plate. The flavors painted perfectly and a high recommendation if you visit here. We had a wonderful dinner experience at this lovely family-owned bistro! The vibes were beachy-chic, service was top notch, and the food was phenomenal. They handled our party of six spectacularly, even on a busy Saturday night - and everyone loved all their food and drinks! A few of our party started with margaritas in a few flavors and loved them - they have customizable options so something to suit anyone's palate. Then we started with the Dolma appetizer - they're full of rice and seasoned meat and served warm here with pita bread and their in-house tzatziki sauce which is delightful. I'm not usually a fan of dolma but I've only ever had them cold at other places. The dolma here changed the game for me - they were delicious and I would definitely get these again. For our mains, our table had the Moussaka, Gyro pita wraps, Greek salad, Greek fries, and the Avgolemono soup. Everyone remarked how much they loved their meals and were all very impressed. I had the Grilled Chicken Pita Wrap and it was probably the best I've ever had. It was a substantial portion - definitely enough to fill you up. The pita bread is soft and warm with a delicate flavor. It was filled to the brim with the most tender and savory grilled chicken breast I've ever had in a Greek restaurant - it also has lettuce, tomatoes, the delectable tzatziki sauce, feta cheese, and even their lovely French fries! Oh and here's a PRO TIP: get it with the side of their fabulous garlic sauce - takes it to a whole other level! I'm a sucker for Spanakopita so I couldn't resist trying them here. And while the texture was flawless and the fillings were ample, I found them to be rather bland so I probably wouldn't get these again - and that's my only complaint about my experience - definitely not significant enough to decrease my rating. Prices are fairly high but probably to be expected in this area so close to the Americana etc. And for the atmosphere, service, experience and quality of the food, I'd say it's supported. One of the owners, Vinny, came around making sure we were all happy with our meal. He was a great sport and even took a selfie with us haha! And our server Jorge was excellent as well! The area is very walkable and there's plenty of parking on the street or in the numerous lots and garages. The closest garage is a stones throw away and only charged me $2 for the 2+ hours I was there so it's surprisingly reasonable. OPAAAAAAA! I was beyond excited to try this place last night! My friend Te-see and I had discussed coming here for quite some time. In scoping out their menu ahead of time, I already knew what I was planning on ordering! It was a wonderful gathering here with Te-see, Mikey, Hannah, Rose and Anton! The company was fantastic, the ambiance was incredible--almost felt like I was back in Greece with the Santorini blue tiles and the white-washed walls. The greenery and lights complemented the decor. The service was remarkable. Arlene was our hostess and she was so sweet and helpful. George was our server and he was on top of everything--and we enjoyed bantering with him a bit. Vinny the owner stopped by our table to visit as well! We ordered the dolmas which were prepared perfectly. I prefer the Armenian dolmas they have here as they are made with ground beef and served hot. They were also served with pita and tzatziki--amazing! I ordered the moussaka and it was incredible!!! So hard to find moussaka here--and prepared the way it's made in Greece--with ground sirloin. One bite and I felt like I was transported back to Mykonos! Served with a side Greek salad which was perfect with the feta cheese and amazing dressing. Everyone raved about their meals. The gyros looked REALLY good so I may have to try that next time! It's a third time me being at this restaurant and now I can for sure this is one of my favorite restaurant. Not just because of the good food, or a great service, or (which is also important) reasonable prices .... Because the atmosphere as a whole is great. And it's a rare thing you see in LA. It means the whole vibe is on a great level and it means the staff is trained properly as well. Branzino is just a MUST HAVE. Delicious!! The whole menu is simple but yet exciting. They also have live music on Fr and Sat. They have a lot of parking spots around and public parking right cross the street. So parking wont be an issue. For appetizers, we got the octopus and the lemon potatoes. Potatoes were good (nothing special) and the octopus was small and very salty. Filet mignon and sea bass were bland, everything was really oily and heavy. My favorite part of the meal was the pita bread, fluffy and delicious. For service, it felt like our servers just started that day. We had our pita bread fall on the floor (no worries, they replaced it) and our server almost knocked over one of our water cups (stuck his hand in the cup to save it..). We also had to sit through a VERY long monotone speech in the beginning as they explained the menu. We just returned from Greece a few weeks ago and have not been able to find anywhere with good Greek food. This is the place, food was amazing and the closest to Greece as we have found. Went for my wife's Birthday and George our server made it amazing. George made some great suggestions and was very attentive. Food arrived very quick and everyone made it a great experience. We had such a great experience at Greek Bistro in Glendale! Our waiter, George, was absolutely fantastic -- attentive and knowledgeable. He helped chose a wonderful Greek wine that paired perfectly with our meal. We started with the Trio appetizer of hummus, babaganoush, and tzatziki, and everything was fresh and delicious. For our mains, we ordered two combination plates that included the ground beef skewer, chicken, falafel, and gyro. Every item was flavorful, but the biggest standout was the falafel -- I usually find falafel to be on the dry side, but theirs was super moist and full of flavor. Truly one of the best I've had. The ONLY drawback was that it was a bit loud -- the music was turned up a little too much -- but it didn't take away from how much we enjoyed the food and service. From making great recommendations to anticipating needs, Derrick was probably the best server I've had the pleasure of meeting in recent memory. As a frequent world traveler, the excellent food and service reminded me of some of the most beautiful, high-end restaurants I've visited internationally. That was one of the freshest most flavorful Greek food I've had. We had the branzino and the spanakopita and it was so delicious. GREEK BISTRO was SUPER good! Robert was the person who brought us to our table. He warmly welcomed us, was vivacious, had a sense of humor and let us sit wherever we wanted after showing us the entire space. I felt that he genuinely cared. George, was our waiter for the evening, who was phenomenal! Seriously, George knows what he is doing - top notch. He went over the menu with us in detail - he kept tabs on us all night (but without touching base too often) - he helped me decide on what wine to have with my main dish and he was gracious enough to let me taste a few wines since I don't have experience with Greek wines. Food (in general): Too much Pita Bread. Like, I felt as if it was being pushed on us. Pita bread is so filling anyway (it's bread) and takes away from the star of the show which equals: food - (minus) the pita bread. Instead of bringing out so much Pita with every dish, bring it out for the first dish and then, if our food server sees that Pita is still on the table even after serving appetizers, don't bring a ton more Pita. Instead, grab a piece of roasted tomato, onion or other vegetable and add that to the plate instead of more... Pita. Sorry to start off on this but it was a major point of contention for me because it's a waste of food and... well, that's an issue. This has nothing to do with our server - just policy in general. Food (Appetizers and Main Course): EXCELLENT! For appetizers, we had the shrimp/tomato/onion/cheese/flame appetizer and the trio hummus/tzatziki which included an eggplant dip and was incredible! Then, for the main dishes, I loved the lamb chop bowl, a side greek salad and then an extra side of chicken kabob (this was drool worthy and I only knew about it because of our fantastic server, George). My husband had the gyro and a shrimp skewer. He said he loved it. Both of our dishes were served upon a rice dish that was similar to Rice-A-Roni that we all grew up on but with Orzo. We both LOVED it. Other: My only complaint is the push for the Yelp reviews. I wish our server hadn't mentioned Yelp, which then led to a solicitation for a review. It just cheapened the entire experience. That being said, I am going to eagerly recommend this restaurant and I can't wait to go back and try the Moussaka! read more
