    Greek salad A++

    If you are looking for an authentic, no frills, high quality Greek place you MUST go here. I've been eating here for years now and their quality continues to be more than amazing. On top of the great food, the service is impeccable. Food is prepared quickly and staff is so friendly! The owners are definitely from Greece so they clearly know how to make Greek food. My favorites: Lamb Gyro, Spanakopita, and Greek salad. Great portions and great prices. Seriously just go and try this place, you can thank me later!

    Grilled swordfish. Good size. Too greasy both fish and veggies r even more. 5* for the size. 2* for too much oil (extra virgin hopefully)

    The pros are: - Delivered right on time - Fish filet size was good! That is all. Well. Let me get you cons: - Grilled swordfish entree for $24. So greasy. I had to squeeze the whole lime to dissolve that fat a little. Hopefully, it was an extra virgin olive oil, which I doubt. - The side of veggies was, even more, greasy -- buttery. - I asked to keep the honey mustard dressing on a side for the tossed salad since I never tried their dressing before. They poured it all over the salad. I had to rinse my salad to eat it. And nothing to say about the veggie burger. My fiance said It was average. I'm glad there is a Greek place on Long Island that is not super expensive, delivers through the late hours. But I'm not sure if I'd recommend it to a friend who eats clean as me. Mediterranean (Greek) dishes are much cleaner compare to what we experienced tonight with the Greek Corner. Also, If I would knew when ordering I'd ask for the utensils, napkins, and ketchup for fries. Obviousely It's not provided before you ask.

    This is supposed to be hummus?

    Where to begin? Oh, yes...WORST.GREEK.FOOD.EVER. I honestly can't describe in enough detail how bad this food was, but I'll try. I ordered chicken solvaki with rice. The chicken was good but the rice was awful. It was some wierd vegetable rice that reminded me of school lunch in high school. Since when do Greek restaurants not serve basmati rice? It came with a Greek salad that tasted like it was prepared and packaged the day before. The tomatoes were slimy. I also ordered hummus, and it was like nothing I've ever seen it tasted before. It was mustard yellow, chunky and flavorless. Gross. My husband got the lamb with the potatoes and he's satisfied, but I think it's because it's 10pm and he's starving. Never again.

    Sign clearly states that Tuesday - Thursday is the buy 2 get 1 free. When u look on the sign for Monday it says buy 1 get 1 free. Nothing about any designated time. When I showed the man at the register he said "mistakes happen". False advertisement and will not be coming here again. Was happy there was a good greek spot next to my shop but didnt know this is how they practice business. STAY AWAY

Coming in we found this gem to be top notch yet small and accommodating. It was immaculate and everything was in its place and the bar stools were so beautiful. We approached the counter, made our order and sat and waited for our food. The young lady and young man, I forgot their names, they were very cordial and pleasing to talk to. During our interaction we found out that Avli has another location in Bayside NY and this location was opened 2 years ago. When the order was ready, they brought the food out to us. We had the lamb gyro. This a huge meal, a delicious looking masterpiece that was assembled well and I found it very satisfying. This was an all lamb gyro, other places sell mixed lamb and beef. This gyro was very fresh witha full lamb flavor. We tried the orange cake for desert, it was quit delicious and not too sweet, also very satisfying. The Greek restaurants are blossoming in Franklin Square. I most definitely have choices I'm Franklin Square when I want Mediterranean dishes and I'll be back. Inspire more,Yelp more?

The place itself is clean and has a nice, welcoming atmosphere. It's on the smaller side, but they seem to do a lot of takeout, so it stays pretty busy. What stood out just as much as the food was the service. The gentleman who took our order was very friendly, and the young lady working there was also warm and welcoming. That kind of service definitely makes a difference. Overall, a great spot for a quick, tasty meal. I'd definitely come back!

I opted for the lentil soup. They started us off with complimentary pita and tzatziki dipping sauce. The sauce was so yummy and very fresh. I actually took the rest of the leftovers home and used it for a few days in a variety of dishes I made. The soup was okay. My grandma got the lemon and chicken soup and it was very lemony and salty. Our food was taking a bit of time considering we were the only ones in the restaurant, I think the server was distracted by wrapping the utensils for tables. She came to take our finished soups. And the food finally came out, huge portions. My gyro was covered with lettuce cuts but not the freshest lettuce. The server was kind of slow for only have two tables. The ambience was nice. Greek music was playing and the decor was nice.

We ordered a lot and the portions are generous, so we had plenty of leftovers. The staff were kind and the standout dishes for me were their appetizers: the octopus appetizer and the crab cakes. Both were delicious and I highly recommend. I feel like sometimes I find the way restaurants cook octopus lacking, but I really loved the way they did it. Crab cakes were similarly so good. Four stars because some of the entrees didn't wow me as much (e.g., the moussaka, pasticcio platter) and the soups that were sides were solid but nothing I'd go out of the way. Overall, a great option in the area.

We started with a lunch option, consisting of the Spanakopita (flaky and generously filled with spinach and feta) and a Greek Salad (fresh with lightly dressed vegetables). We also shared a Pita Chicken Gyro, the chicken was well-seasoned, the pita bread was soft and freshly baked, and all of it combined made each bite enjoyable. We couldn't leave without trying dessert, so we ordered the Orange Cake. At first, the texture hit differently; if I can compare it to anything, it would be close to bread pudding - it was moist but not overly wet. After the first bite, we didn't want to stop eating it. The flavors were divine. Our server, Jocelyn was a tremendous help; she was personable, attentive, and thoughtful, considering our needs before we even asked. Delighted to have finally been able to visit this hidden gem. Pleasant environment with great music softly playing in the background. I highly recommend it, and we can't wait to return!

I went with my plus one, and from the moment we walked in, the experience was great. The place is very clean, not very big, but super comfortable with a nice traditional Greek vibe. We were greeted and seated by one of the owners (one of the brothers), which made it feel even more welcoming. Our waitress was friendly, professional, and checked on us several times, which I always appreciate without it feeling overdone. I ordered the gyro, and it was absolutely delicious. Everything tasted fresh and well prepared. But the real standout? Dessert. It was honestly out of this world. The owner mentioned it's his mother's recipe, "made with love," and you can truly taste that in every bite. I'm still thinking about it and would go back just for that alone. Great location, great staff, and an overall really enjoyable experience. Definitely a spot I'll be returning to!

The cocktail drinks took a long time to arrive, and they arrived after the appetizers--and were incorrect, so we had to send them back. The main dishes took another hour to be served. I have pictures with timestamps showing the delay, with over an hour between the appetizers and the main courses. During this time, we asked for extra bread and clarification, but the servers seemed unsure and kept pointing at each other, which was frustrating. Later, a manager explained that the delay was due to our ordering moussaka, but if the kitchen was overwhelmed, they could have let us know. We're reasonable guests, but their explanations felt lacking. Overall, the service was quite poor. To make matters worse, they added a 20% gratuity charge--something we usually tip pretty well even though service is too bad to tip. But I don't expect to tip 20% to this horrible service. We really enjoy the food here, but unfortunately, due to the experience, we don't think we'll be returning.
