Craving for kebabs and rice and decided to try out this restaurant next to the supermarket. One orders from the counter, pay, and a server would bring out the food. If one only want to drink water, one can self serve. The price is very reasonable. The food was perfectly seasoned and delicious. We love the garlic spread, used on the meat and rice. They bake their bread onsite. Tandoori bread with garlic spread - yummy Will go back and try other dishes.

Kabob dreams DO come true So excited that @northparkproduce in Poway now does catering & meals--and this one is a total show-stopper 3-5 person feast for only $79.99 Juicy ground beef kabobs, tender boneless chicken kabobs, fluffy rice, fresh Shirazi salad, and warm bread to tie it all together Perfect for family dinners, game nights, or when you just don't feel like cooking but still wanna eat GOOD Bonus foodie tip: Fridays = Fish Fry Friday Crispy halibut for only $16.99

Huge portion sizes but the beef can be a bit dry. I can usually have an entree for 3 meals because of how much food they give you! There was a long line on a Sunday afternoon but the food comes out quickly. This is a casual dining spot where you order at the front and they bring the food to you.

we got chicken shawarma fries & a beef shawarma wrap. both tasted good, but i preferred the chicken as the beef texture seemed like it had too much tenderizer. the fries weren't crispy but they were potato-y, which we were fine with. sauces came on the side: red salsa, dill yogurt, & toum / garlic which is always my fav. this seems like the type of place you'd call ahead for, unless you don't mind waiting a bit. but overall this was a solid meal

To quote my son "this is the worst mediterranean food we have ever had!" The service was very slow. Our food then came out cold and incorrect. One asked for no onions or pickles and still had both in his wrap the rest of our food was cold. They give large portions but the rice didn't even taste good. This is not our first time there. We haven't been in a couple years so we thought it would be fun to go back. I am sorry to say we won't be back again any time soon!

Food: 4.3 Service: 4.5 Meeting my wife's GF who is never on time and by the time she arrives the restaurant is closing in 30 minutes. So we rush to get in our order at the counter and of course they're out of certain items already. But everyone there is super friendly (with smiles) The girls ordered a salad of some sort & hummus and I order the grilled chicken and beef kabob plate: the meats were cooked well but still juicy. There was plenty of food for everyone to share and leftovers for a nice meal later. NOTE: even though the kitchen/establishment closed, they were kind to us and allowed us to finish eating our dinner. If you looking for some great food, give this place a try!

My son and I come here often for great Mediterranean food. The place is always busy because the food is delicious and not expensive for what you get. I have started getting the half chicken dinner special. You can't beat it for $14.99! Its delicious and goes well with the hummus. I can never finish it and always enjoy it again the next day for lunch. This place deserves mad props for all the orders they put out in one day! Give it a try you will be happy.

Another great take-away experience at North Park. This time it was a Weekly Special that we had for dinner -- Zereshk Polo with Baked Chicken & Salad (4/5 $14.99). Zereshk Polo is a great Persian rice dish, made with fluffy basmati rice, tangy red barberries, and aromatic spices. It is quite flavorful. There were two delicious chicken leg quarters, and a nice salad of mixed greens, that made for a delicious dinner fir two at home. Service was very good.

I can't believe I've never left a review for one of the best Mediterranean restaurants in all of San Diego. It doesn't quite have the ambiance that other restaurants have because it's a casual bakery but the people watching does not disappoint. It truly is awesome so see all walks of life, young and old, different races and backgrounds all coming together to eat incredible food whether it's from their cultural background or someone else's. My go to is the garlic chicken with ground beef plate. I love their salad and rice. The homemade bread is to die for as well. Here are some pictures from my last visit. You must, must, must try this place. We have used them a dozen times for catering as well. The pricing is reasonable considering the size of the portions. You won't be disappointed!!!

The portion of rice in this takeout order was embarrassingly small and frankly shameful. It felt degrading and showed a complete lack of respect for customers. To make matters worse, a very rude young man was assigned to respond to customers. His attitude was offensive, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. I will not be ordering from this place again, and I do not recommend it to anyone expecting basic respect or fair portions.

I wish this place was closer to my house! I actually drive from downtown just to enjoy their food. Since it's located inside the North Park Produce market, I often stop by for a quick bite while doing my grocery shopping. I love how convenient it is, with plenty of parking available. The complimentary tea is a plus. Last time, I brought my friends along and ordered the family tray--it was a huge hit! They said it's enough for 3-5 people but the portion was more than enough to satisfy all seven of us. Light casual atmosphere.

I love coming to this place for Mediterranean food. Their tandoori bread is the best . Comes out piping hot and if you eat it with their garlic sauces it's perfection ! We also order their boneless chicken plate which comes with a generous portion of rice and cucumber salad. I love their shawarma chicken sandwich which unfortunately was devoured too quickly I didn't get a photo of it. LOL. I also enjoy the beef flat bread which I've had in Istanbul. So good! My husband likes their gyro sandwich too. Vera is the owner and she is super nice and so is her staff. We come here all the time and I just realized that I never posted a review. They do cater so sometimes we've ordered trays of food. This is authentic and good quality food. Even our Uber guy who is Persian recommended this place!

Hi, Can you please tell me if you sell Vienna Beef brand hot dogs in packages to cook at home? Thanks!

I have never seen this brand here.

I'm looking to feed 30 people for lunch and wondering how big are their party trays? I was told the skewers are sold individually so the trays are just for the rice. How many trays and what size? Thanks in advance!

They can definitely provide food for 30. I would recommend either calling or going into their restaurant and speaking with them. They are very nice folks. Then you can get an idea of what they have and order what you would like. They have a lot of…

I love NY Produce, but not sure about their meat. (I'm a vegan.) I know that Sprouts' meat has no additives, no hormones. My friends shop there for that very reason.

I have never had it before, but it was packed full of unique flavor that I could've eaten more than a cup of. The falafels were really good, but I was a bit disappointed by the hummus it came with since it was very bland to me. The cucumber dip was not the best for either my coworker or I. It honestly almost tasted like plain yogurt. The kabob combo would've been amazing if the meat wasn't so dry. That's the only complaint about it, but the flavor was really good. Could've just been a fluke. This place serves very authentic food with large portions, high quality ingredients and loads of flavor!

In San Diego, not offering tap water that is certainly drinkable is a disappointment, and charging $2 per bottle seems excessive when it certainly costs less to obtain. We opted for soft drinks ($4 each) and they were fine, except the Diet Coke was flat. The grilled meats (chicken kabob and chelo kabob barg) were clearly fresh and deliciously moist. The entrees took a bit to arrive but were clearly house-made. The fesenjoon stew had good flavors but was a bit too sweet. The tahdig was incredibly crispy, too thick to even cut with a knife. The kashkeh bademjan appetizer was good but nothing outstanding. Overall, the food is tasty, though the tahdig with fesenjoon could use a few tweaks. The prices were a bit high and dinner left more to be desired, but I am not opposed to coming back.
