This is an excellent Greek spot. We had heard from others that the food here was very good but we don't live in town so have not really had a chance to try it. Well, we will definitely be taking the 20 minute drive here from now on. Ordered two salads, one with chicken, one with gyro and an order of lemon potatoes. Both salads were very generous and the meat portions extremely generous. The dressing had great taste, light and flavorful. Everything tasted fresh. The lemon potatoes were perfectly cooked and the flavor, perfect. So many times have we gotten lemon potatoes that are bitter. Not here. The restaurant is very clean and the person who helped me, who I presume is the owner, was very friendly. I highly recommend Greek Tastes. One of our new favorite local spots! This is a great family-owned takeout restaurant with fresh, delicious food and very reasonable prices/portions. The grilled chicken is my go-to order (my son's favorite too!) and my husband loves the beef and lamb gyro pita sandwich. The lemon potatoes are amazing, and my son is officially hooked on their lemonade. The restaurant has such a warm, authentic feel, and I absolutely love the artwork on the walls which I'd love if they'd sell. I prefer Greek Tastes over the longstanding Greek place in town, and other places I've been to in Suffolk. The gyros are flavorful and tender, very fresh ingredients and generous portions. Love this new Greek place right in the heart of Rocky Point! Owner on site and, along with the rest of the staff, very friendly. The food is spectacular- seriously the best Greek food in this area. The stuffed grape leaves are just the right size-they go perfect with the tzatziki sauce! The warm pitas are perfectly seasoned. The chicken salad bowl is a nice size-I always have enough to share! The chicken sandwich with the Athens sauce was spicy and delicious. And they have amazing Greed delicacies for desert too! Everything is homemade, warm, and delectable. I bought a gyro only. It was $14 which is ridiculous. I went home and took a bite it was rancid! The whole house smelled! I went back to get a refund at least. The guy told me it's not his problem that I don't like it. I told him to smell it and he said, "you could've done something to it". Really? Then he started cursing at me and wanted to fight me. I have always loved there food so I will give them a 5 star. I know prices have gone up but they have gonna very chincy on their portions. I feel I have been getting much more at Greek Island in Wading River than I have here. I'm new to the area and have been determined to find a good Greek and/or Mediterranean restaurant. Greek Tastes is the best that I've had so far and I WILL return. It is take-out only, which is great for the current situation but is also just a better business model in general. I made my order online through their website and it was ready within 20 minutes. Got the falafel gyro, chick gyro, and a side of hummus. Both gyros were great. The falafel was crispy on the outside and very FLAVORFUL on the inside (and not dry). The fries in the gyros were a nice touch. The hummus was very good and was perhaps my favorite part. It was obviously homemade (that's a huge compliment). The tahini, lemon, and garlic flavors all shone through. The pita was soft and sprinkled with herbs. Great experience for an at-home movie night. Highly recommend! read more

Ordered take out- still delish when I got home. Awesome Gyros! Came with fries inside- a little different if you're not expecting it, but I enjoyed! Everything was fresh. Loved the extra tzadziki on the gyro (I usually ask for extra and forgot, but it was perfect). Also ordered a platter with lemon potatoes and Greek salad and got the yogurt with sour cherries for dessert- AMAZING!! I did not order the spanakopita, but a friend (who is Greek) did and thought it could use a touch more cowbell in the dill department. I hope the chef can appreciate this one small critique to improve their menu. Staff was so nice - very polite and so thankful for my order. Disappointed with my Greek Salad bowl with beef And lamb. Salad was crammed into a small tin with only two Greek olives, one stuffed grape leave, two or three slices of tomato, no onion, too many thick cucumbers and skimpy on the feta cheese.
