We came in a Saturday afternoon and there were only us. It was small, nice and cute inside. The owner is very nice and kind. We each got different gyros, chicken, lamb and falafel. It did take the owner some time to make all the gyros for four of us, but the turnout was so delicious! The homemade hummus is so smooth and tasty. It melts instantly in my mouth. The lamb gyro I got was such a great portion, I wasn't hungry until late night. The amount of ingredients in the gyro besides the lamb, cucumbers, olives, and celeries, makes it incredibly flavorful. I was in the area for a doctors appointment and happened to find this place which grabbed my attention! Boy, I am so happy I did. I had the most delicious lamb gyro pitini which is a Gyro, but pressed like a Panini! The Gyro meat was so moist and juicy fresh and delicious. Also had chunks of feta cheese on there olives, some pickled vegetables and it came with a side of hummus. That was absolutely the best hummus I've ever had.! do yourself a favor and try this place. The gentleman who served me said everything is organic and if that's why it taste so good I don't know but definitely worth a visit. I will be back even though it's not close to where I live! After a couple more tries, I'm upgrading my review to 4 stars. Did dinner takeout last night. Ordering from their website makes it so easy, no issues with misinterpreted order. Even has notes section for each item if you need special instructions. On the recommendation of a friend enjoying the takeout with us, I tried the chicken meatball patina, with chicken meatballs, falafel, sautéed spinach and tatziki sauce. It was so big, half was a meal! Enjoying other half today. Meatballs were juicy and flavorful, and the other ingredients with it were so delicious. I'm still holding to my opinion they are too stingy with the tatziki sauce. I had to ration it to cover my sandwich and still have a tiny bit for my pita chips. It's a tiny little cup you get with it. Next time I will pay extra to get more. Everyone was pleased with what they ordered. Everyone agrees there wasn't enough side sauces for the food. Order was ready in 30 minutes just as online order suggested. Better food, better overall experience. Will try a new menu item next time too. read more

I didn't know whether to give 3 or 4 stars as my first meal was great and my 2nd was just ok. First day go their lamb gyro panini. Was awesome. Large and filling!! And good price. Second meal. Large Greek salad with gyro meat. With tax was 23.99. Soooo overpriced. For that the salad should've been huge! The amount of gyro meat was skimpy and there was barely any feta on the salad. If I'm paying almost 25 bucks for a salad, it better be large enough to feed 2 people. This was not. I've had Lg Greek salads at other places with gyro meat and they were gigantic. Very disappointed. The staff though are awesome! Super nice and very courteous. You guys really need to do better on the large Greek salad. Greek Island diner has you beat!! read more

So incredibly disappointing! First time and last at this place. Ordered online- so no misunderstandings- dishes were missing so many things! No hummus w/the hummus & chips side, tofu wasn't marinated, broccoli wasn't in garlic & oil, but steamed and sour! No roasted potatoes w/2 dishes! Basmati rice was wet and gross! Where was the chicken on the chicken gyro?! The Green Goddess was tasty, but the broccoli rabe was so firm that you couldn't bite thru it, so whatever was in the sandwich kept getting pulled out w/each bite! The biggest kicker was i ordered 2 deserts that were advertised, paid for them online, to only find out they didn't have them and wouldn't refund my money bc I pd for my dinner thru yelp/grubhub!! I'm so sorry I went to this place, it ruined our last night together after the holiday! I tried calling them numerous times and the phone is always busy! If they pick up they just leave the phone off the hook while you keep calling out to them, then after 5 or so minutes waiting they just hang up the phone!! Tried it again tonight as the last time we had gotten it delivered. I was LESS than impressed. The place is lovely and the staff was so nice, but the food was lacking. I got a rice bowl with lamb gyro. There was literally just a few pieces of gyro meat on it. Got Hubby a rice bowl with chicken meatballs. He said it was ok, nothing fantastic. For the 30 dollars I spent I could get much more at Greek Tastes in RP. They are closed for vacation so I thought I'd give this place another chance. The service was good but for the time it took for the chef to cook those few pieces of gyro was silly. I've had 4 different things now from there and it just wasn't worth the money. Fantastic place to eat. We tried a lot of different food. They have a fantastic grilled cheese in a pita with American and mozzarella. It was a lot to eat and had great flavor. The side was pita chips and hummus. The peta chips were crispy and addicting. The roasted pork was cooked to perfection. I can't get enough. The crab cakes were large, moist, and tasty. You must try the Mac and cheese. I'd love to know what is in it. The max and cheese really was the surprise of the night. It tasted so good! I have to go get more tomorrow. We had more of the comfort food. They have a complete line of healthy and delicious food. I highly recommend them. I can't wait to order their family meal for this coming Friday! My wife ordered a dessert platter and cake for Christmas ten days ahead of time. I went to pick it up and brought it home. Apparently I was given the wrong platter. My wife called and I had to go back out. When I got to the store, the employees had no idea what I was talking about. I had to wait again to be given the correct order and without even an apology. My family and I eat there once a week! Amazing fresh food and prices! We love the chef created bowls and pitas! My daughter loves the chicken meatballs and Mac and cheese! I usually get a spinach bowl ( which I sometimes sauté!) with shrimp or the filet mignon which is so tasty!! For my sides I get the tomato corn salsa, chickpea salad and beets! My husband gets the chicken gyro (almost every time) and raves about it!! We also got the family meal plan #2 once which we absolutely loved at such a great price for our family, and we will definitely get that again and continue ordering at Gourmelos weekly. read more
