a bowl of hummus, tomatoes, cucumbers, and olives

Been going here for years, the food is actually good but since the previous owner passed it seems this place is not what it once was. The prices are high and I don't mind paying for good food, but when you start skimping on portions I have a real problem with that. I noticed last time that the Hummus seemed to be not as much as usual but didn't think about it until I ordered again tonight. What was given to me was less than half of what they used to give me. I called and talked with the manager and asked when they changed their policy to give less than half the amount of Hummus with an order. Her answer was "Some have more of a heavy hand than others" Sorry, wrong answer. When you have heavy prices and small portions I'll take my business elsewhere. Pictures are before the garnish and after. This is what I get for $8.25?

Never returning! Be prepared to be 'nickeled and dimed' for any extra sauces! I was even charged a fee for using my credit card. I was unaware of this fee until AFTER I paid. Here's a copy of the small sign near the cash register regarding the credit card extra fees.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. If you think the presentation is bad wait until you taste what tried to be Greek food at its worse. A salad that is slopped together w chicken on a stick. Not chicken souvlaki. And a chunk of cheese not feta made chunked together and I've been to Greece and this isn't even faking it. You'd think that everyone there was a substitute. Here's a recommendation hire a Greek Cook or an Italian or anyone w Pinterest. Come on man.

Ordered delivery here twice, and it's pretty cool that their system remembers your address so you dont have to repeat yourself. They accept wolfie wallet for stony students and have free delivery! I ordered the baklava, calamari, and gyro meat over rice. The bakalava is a little too sweet in my opinion, but is nice in smaller bites with some coffee. The calamari is not worth since it is both tiny and contains a small amount in consideration to its price, and the gyro meat over rice does not contain any veggies except for a few tiny diced onions and peppers here and there. I NEED VEGGIES, especially since delicious vegetables are hard to come by for a university student. The meat was also rather dry, but the sauce that came with it salvaged the dish. From my past 2 times ordering here, they always arrive quicker than the time they say they will so you can look forward to that. Otherwise, there's nothing exceptional here. Edit: Finished my gyro meat over rice and i'm PARCHED. cant tell if over seasoned or msg... AND i had 3 bottles of water!

Saying Greek To Go makes my mouth water. A gyro with a stack of fries & a soda is $10 with some change. SO amazing because the serving size is so gy-normous* I never finish. Sweet lunch value on the fly. Service is really fast. They make fresh fries as you order them and you should either: burn your tongue or drown them in the nice sized yogurt cup they serve. Deliciousss. I haven't ventured to anything else on the menu yet because I honestly can't get away from this gyro. The meat is nicely flavored, the onions are cut stringy and lovely, lettuce packed with three nice thin slices of tomato. Can't get mad at the mess I make trying to fork the white sauce on to this sandwich. View photos of said beast. I did eye ball some pita chips on the counter one visit and I'm making my way to ordering them with some hummus. Very excited about this place.

GREEK TO GO,this is a nice small restaurant . It can use some renovations but the food is why I am here. They make I mean Gyro , I don't know too many other Greek restaurants but their food is very tasty the portions a nice size, and the staff is friendly. I will be going back there again.

Food is fine. The reason it's "to go" is because it's way too hot in there. The lady who took my order was sweating. Not a pleasant first impression. She was neither fun nor funny. I took my food to go eat in my car where I got to watch a cab driver pee. Still better than eating inside.

a pita and a bowl of soup

Sad that this place became so expensive with cheap Servings. Also a skewer in my chicken gyro that I bit into

The wait was short and the food was incredibly fresh and very well made. It was one of the better chicken gyros that I've had, it was clearly roasted and seasoned perfectly. Their tzatziki sauce is creamy and very delicious, a perfect compliment to the savory bowl that I got with my choices that were saltier (olives and feta). I love that the portion size was large enough that I had it leftover for lunch again the next day. If you're in the St. James area, I would highly suggest checking this spot out asap.

Also there are few small tables outdoor as we saw someone ate outside with a dog. The menu was quite straightforward to follow. I got a lamb and beef gyro which was about 6 inches long for $13. My wife had the chicken souvlaki platter for about $22 which she paid $3 upcharge for a gluten free pita bread. The worker inside told her that the gf pita is good and doesn't have that weird texture bite and she was correct. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the meat was definitely moist along with the pita. Nothing tasted like that sat for awhile. Customer service was fantastic and we will be back.

You order at the counter and there are a few tables to sit at. Being this is my first time, I will mention while writing this in a little annoyed because I didn't look at the menu close enough but the owner at the counter shoulder and could've took me this when ordering. I ordered the lamb gyro which was overstuffed and delicious. He asked if I wanted lettuce tomatoes and onion and I said yes (this is usually on a gyro). Quickly scanning the menu advice, I didn't see any option to make the gyro a combination with fries, so I ordered the side of fries $6.50. While sitting to eat, I was looking over the menu more and noticed that there was an option to make any sandwich an original which means..... add fries instead of lettuce tomatoes for $1. I would've gone this route if I saw that. I guess live and learn, my mistake but he should've told me of that option. Next time and I will let him know this, but I will not let it negatively affect my review. (Update) another person just came in and ordered the same so I opened my mouth to let him know about the $1 option. The owner then said that it was fried in the sandwich). I never heard of that option but at least I know, you can only order the side of fried, they should have a combo price. The Gyro is amazing!

It was only a $1 so I tried it and it wound up being French fries, lol. Not a huge fan in the sandwich as I like fries crispy but hey, to each its own. Their Avgolemono soup was fine but I really liked their chicken souvlaki. Very fresh. Reason for the docked star was because my wife's dish wound up being gyro meat instead of the ordered souvlaki.

The salad with falafel is huge! It could easily be 3 meals. Fresh and full of ingredients, it was super filling and really enjoyable. The falafel was perfectly made- crispy on the outside and soft inside. A bit spicy, and so fresh. The stuffed grape leaves also were amazing (I got the appetizer), again so well made and fresh. We walked in about dinner time. All the chairs were placed upside down on every single table in the place. For somewhere that opens at 11am that day... by 5pm, it looked like it was either just opening or just closing. So, EVERY SINGLE chair flipped upside down on top of all the tables. Not a single place to sit or table to use. A guy came out and started mopping the dining room. These are all signs that a place is closing. Not a single customer in sight. As you can imagine, it was confusing. I did a double take and saw another guy at the counter. "Are you still open?" I inquired. He gave me a scowl and a brief response as if I was crazy to ask this question. I can't say if he's just one of the those people that doesn't know his facial expressions are naturally unwelcoming, or if he honestly was annoyed by our presence as customers. It was really off-putting. At no point did he smile or seem welcoming, which made it feel like they were ready to close at 5pm and we walked in. I'm sure it's not the case, but this all seemed so weird. So yeah, service sucked. Honestly, I don't know if that guy is an employee or family of owner, but my god, put him somewhere not customer facing. Other than that, the food was great. I enjoyed it all. Unfortunately, I don't know if I'll be back. The food was worth coming back for, but the service was just the most unwelcoming thing I've ever seen. Also, who mops the floor in the middle of dinner hour and places all the chairs up? If there was a reason, you should probably tell the customers coming in... "OH hey, welcome! Yeah, just cleaning up the floors. It'll be a minute, but come check out the menu"... It's that easy. Get this guy some training behind the counter.
