Very disappointed today. Came in just before noon. My husband ordered a gyro, I had a Florentine omelette. The food was perfect, spot on. But we were forgotten about. Once the food hit our table, that was it. We never saw our waitress, never got a refill on drinks, couldn't even flag anyone down. The Greek village is wonderfully consistent with their food. You will typical Greek diner food, which is a nice find in Carmel. The best part about this restaurant is Jules the waitress. I'd come here if the food was terrible because of her. She is consistently courteous, professional, and funny. She recommended the Thai BBQ wings and it was awesome. read more

Hmmmm, let's see. Walking in, you're given the uncertainty if you should immediately sit down or go to the counter to order. There's a "kid" who will sheepishly take your beverage order and maybe an appetizer, but nothing more. A for effort. ONE waitress for the whole floor. Food isn't anything over the top to eliminate a local Greek diner to come here. Similar, if not better cooked selections, are options in a closer, better diner. Didn't get 5 stars for ...... Ordered 2 gyros and side of French fries with taziki sauce on the side. Placed order online. The women at the counter was extremely rude and not helpful. She gave attitude and belittled my boyfriend who picked up. Our food - gyros were good. However when I placed my order online I asked for the sauce on the side. Sauce was not on the side and drowning my gyro .... French fries - not seasoned and limp don't waste your time. My boyfriend asked for another side of taziki sauce and the women with attitude told him I should have ordered it when I placed my order online and charged him $2.00 for a side when if I would have ordered online I would have been charged .75. I am torn if I will return will probably give it one more shot. Went and ordered Greek food on January 6, I use to love this place. but I have a lot of complaints about this place, first of all they raised the prices to the point that a family of three can't eat out without spending over $65.00 and then the food sucked so bad, the food either was horrible or the meat was hard. Just because there are greek olives and feta doesnt make it a Greek salad- Place is very basic- food was dry and unexceptional. Meatloaf plate- meh not like grandmas Gyro platter- meh the most complementary thing I can say is since it was dry they serve it with AMAZING dip tzatziki. Greek fries (never had before) were soggy (maybe thats how they should be) Wings were good- not as hot as I was expection but that Was my fault as the wing choice was Thai chili. This is our local go to for Greek food. Great quality, friendly staff and clean and pleasant atmosphere. The Greek Salad with fyro meat is excellent as a main dish. Also the eggplant dip is one of the best in the area and is made there. The wings are also very good but they dont always have the ultra hot sauces available. I was not impressed, which is a shame because we live locally and finally decided to give it a shot since the Yelp reviews seemed to have improved. Unfortunately the service we received, or lack there of, is the main reason we won't return. Our waitress was rude and inattentive, complaining several times about how busy it was. Towards the end she actively ignored us...and by that I mean she would make eye contact, look at my empty cup and walk away. She would move around tables so she didn't need to come near us and finally another waitress took pity on us, but at that point it was too late, we were over it. The falafel portion was abysmally small - tasty, but small. My husband enjoyed his food well enough, but not so much that we'd come back. I'd rather drive 25 minutes to Mount Kisco for Greek food next time. I understand it was busy (Sunday at lunchtime), but I cannot imagine this is the first lunch rush that has ever happened. The customer is the reason you're in business and receive tips, but to blatantly ignore your table and then on top of it complain, well that's just poor business and I'm embarrassed for you. read more

So I went here for lunch and it was early. 11am for lunch. At first we sat ourselves and then finally a waitress came over handed us a menu with no friendliness and walked away. Another waitress came over and asked us what we wanted to drink when I asked for coke she had an attitude and said we only have Pepsi. Needless to say my whole experience wasn't great at all. My waitress gave me my food and I didn't see her again until i had to call and when I did call and get her attention she was upset and had attitude. The French fries I got were nasty and seemed to be old or re-fried. This was a horrible experience. They need to get friendly waitresses that actually want to do their job instead of avoiding their tables consistently. The waitress made eye contact with me at least 5 different times and still didn't come over. And then when asked for the check the waitress acted like she was too busy to go and get it and I was a bother. Will never be going there again. read more

Low key this is the best Greek food in the area. I would even prefer their gyros over the ones you get in NYC. Fast service and great food.
