Green acres Ice Cream is a chosen destination- whenever we come to Buffalo... the service is quick, the selection is Amazing and on a good day the ambiance is always delightful... a little hint - DO NOT sleep on the Strawberry cheesecake parfait or the Elvis ( banana and PB) milkshake...

One of my favorite places to get ice cream. The staff is always friendly. The prices are decent when compared to other places. They have many selections for hard ice cream, as well a various amount of Sundays and milkshakes to choose from.

ON A COOKIE CONE!!! (Wouldn't waste your money)

You can't go wrong with ice cream. This place serves Perry's hard ice cream, the typical soft serve options of chocolate, vanilla and twist, a million different sundaes, blizzards, etc. They have every type of ice cream type item you could ever want. I would suggest avoiding the "specialty cones" which are made of different types of cookies... They are store bought and taste like cardboard. A waste of money for sure. Plenty of parking available, about 6 tables and other places to sit, plus you have some awesome mini golf next door!

The strawberry cheesecake parfait was delicious! The ice cream was so creamy. My fiancé got the cotton candy flurry and he loved it. The service was quick and easy. Highly recommend!

Met my sister and niece here for a quick snack. We ordered three different sundaes and we waited for them to come out. 2/3 came out and I waited 5 more minutes. When I inquired on mine, the girl laughed and said she forgot about me

Green Acres is the place to be, like the theme song from the hit TV show. Overall, if your looking for an icecream place to take pretty much anyone of any age highly recommend. They do require masks stay on when ordering, and waiting for your order. Make sure to have your credit card with you, as its contact less payment, no cash option available due to pandemic temporarily. They sure do deliver with artisan icecream flavors, 15 different kinds of slushies, smoothies milkshakes, cider slushies. As well as Perry's hard and soft icecream, custard, mcflurries, different cone dips and sundaes. I've tried their icecream before, always a win, recently had their slushies, blue rapberry lemonade, very flavorful. My mom ordered a Creamsicle milk shake and loved it. Only downside, wasn't a fan of the smoothies too creamy for my liking.

Came here to grab a sweet treat for myself and my dad. Got the apple pie parfait and a small thick chocolate shake. The apple pie parfait was unique, but only comes in one size and was a little large for this gal- split half with my mom. The small chocolate shake was a little pricey for the size, so it might be worth it to get a larger size. I do love that the ice cream shop is local versus a chain and there's a huge menu- literally something for everyone! The line moved at a quick speed as well, you could tell the employees were mindful of that.

Best Ice Cream in the Buffalo area, there is no debating that!!! This ice cream is thick, and rich and so full of flavor. The combinations that they have for their parfaits are the best, but better yet, they also allow you to mix and match for your own creations! This place also has mini golf and a driving range attached, so this make for a perfect spot for date night or for some family fun!! They also do special events such as movie nights for the kids and glow in the dark mini golf. This would be a great place for summer fun!

    Dole Whip time! :-D

No sir, umbrellas abounded, as folks meandered from truck to truck, sniffing the air for answers to what's cookin', tempting them to certain trucks. It rather smelled like the fair, in a GOOD way, food scents wafting by, mingling with each other as giddy people paid no attention to each other or even their cell phones in an effort to decide which truck to order from. BBQ? Vietnamese? Sweets? Mexican??!! Greek? Oh boy, what fragrant air filled the Eastern Hills Mall parking lot on Transit Road this day. What a concept! If only the trucks lined up like this, like a train, one after the other, once a month instead of annually. Boy, it was our lucky day! We just happened to stumble upon the line up. I knew I must try the Black Market Food Truck, for they served the most awesome food at the Yelp Elite International Institute event recently and I knew I'd find my way to them once again. Today I tried the corn and black bean hummus, and it was delectable with a bite, and beautifully presented, and from a TRUCK! Little slanted slices of crispy dipping bread was alongside the cupful of hummus. Mister ditched the umbrella and hoofed it quickly to Lloyd's and oh my, was that burrito nummy! He ordered the one with braised beef and it was so flavorful, just like home cooked beef, and I seldom eat beef. Rolled in a 12" tortilla, with rice, black beans, a jack/cheddar cheese blend, finely shredded cabbage, chimichurri, and salsa roja it was perfectly spicy and delicious, a plentiful portion of goodness. And for $6.50? Hands down the best burrito I've tasted. We splurged on a Mexican Coca-Cola, super yum taste from childhood, before "corn syrup" took over the real sugar ingredient around these parts. In this inclement weather, not one server had a scowl, all were cheerful and happily serving it up from high upon their truck-turned-order-window. Kudos to all who work the food trucks, may you prosper with such ingenuity and hard work. As in many of my posts, give these non-chain folks the business, they have way more at stake than a fast food joint. Reward them with your patronage! Follow them on their websites and spread the word; give your fellow residents, friends and neighbors the chance to thrive. And Eastern Hills Mall, hellooooo, you folks have done so much for the community since new management took over. How about bringing in the trucks on certain Saturdays, monthly, at least? Pretty please?!

So as not to overestimate, when calculating Maths, I usually think it's better to "Round Down", but…read morethis food truck festival believes otherwise. I'm sure they'd love me to "Round Up" to a 4, but I can't. Larkin Square has the same issues (massively overpriced with really low standards), but their selection is magnificent (40 to 50 per Tuesday), and they have the influx of Rochester trucks to improve the quality - the Buffalo ones are awful for the most part. I must have spent a good $50 just trying to sample 6 or 7 of these food trucks, which I think is preposterous. Almost everything I ate was average or just really, really bad. The Black Market Food Truck was one enjoyable exception. I wrote reviews of most of these trucks, and then was sent abuse by the owner of my least fave of the trucks I tried - Roaming Buffalo. Plus it was outside and we all got soaking wet as well as ripped off. Despite all the negativity I associate with this event, it's still a bunch of locals trying to get by, and it's still a food truck rodeo in a town that didn't have food trucks for a long time. So I'll give it a 3. But the standard needs to go way up and the prices need to go down, in order for me to ever give food trucks my repeated business in this city.

The village is so romantic with all the lights, and Bambi was riding along enjoying all the attention she got in her stroller while we made our way to the ice cream shop. It honestly felt like such a cute little Friday evening outing. This was my first time coming to Big Papa's Creamery, so I asked one of the employees, Joey, which flavors were the most popular and which one was his favorite. He recommended the Peanut Butter Cookie Monster, Signature classic peanut butter with hunks of cookie dough and Oreo piece. Joey was ind and helpful, and I really appreciated the recommendation. But I decided to go with the Cookie Dough. You can taste that this ice cream is homemade. The vanilla ice cream is creamy, rich, and incredibly smooth, with these tiny sugar crystals that add just a little bit of texture. It was absolutely divine. I'm not exaggerating when I say this might be the best ice cream I've ever had. I took my video... And then I started eating it. And I literally could not stop. The Cookie Dough was a ten out of ten for me. The ice cream itself was so good that it didn't need to be overloaded with mix-ins. The flavor and texture really stood on their own. One little boy was so excited when he found out that Bambi was 6, then he told me that his mom Was 37 The shop itself was so cute, too. Everything is pink, blue and adorable. There are pink and blue tables and long benches outside, and it would be such a fun spot for a first date, intimate birthday party, family outing, The service was excellent, the line moved quickly, and everyone was friendly. After Bambi had her little walk, we continued down the sidewalk through the Village of Lancaster. And then you have to listen to this. The live music was playing on an outdoor patio, and it had the best beachy, vacation-like vibes. The music, the lights, the people sitting outside, and the beautiful village atmosphere all came together so perfectly. For a little while, it honestly felt like I was on vacation. That's what made this visit so enjoyable. It wasn't just the ice cream. It was the entire experience. The homemade flavor. The adorable atmosphere. The friendly service. The outdoor seating. The beautiful Village of Lancaster location. The kids playing outside. Bambi getting to meet people. And the live music that made the whole evening feel so relaxing and fun. So if you're in the Village of Lancaster, I definitely recommend stopping by this ice cream shop. It's located at: 20 West Main Street,, Suite 600 Their hours are: 12pm - 10pm everyday As for me, the Cookie Dough was absolutely the right choice. Ten out of ten. Maybe the best ice cream I've ever had. And yes... I ate the whole thing. Absolutely no regrets. It was divine.

I remembered seeing them on the local news stations and had read they make their own ice cream, so I had to grab a couple scoops to try them out. What a delicious way to round out the day! I walked into around 8:30pm on a Wednesday to a bright and trendy interior with several tables and chairs, as well as a table that ran along the windows with stools to sit at. And if there wasn't a spot inside, there were tables and chairs outside in front of the shop as well. There was a line that wrapped near the entrance but it moved surprisingly quickly since there were only two young women scooping and cashing customers out. I had enough time to look over their flavors and narrow down the two that I wanted. The young woman who prepared my order was friendly and pleasant and did an excellent job scooping - My scoops were plenty big; they did not skimp on portions. What did I order? I went with a medium (two scoops) with the bottom scoop flavor being their Cookies & Cream and the top scoop flavor being their Salted Caramel Crunch (homemade crunch pieces folded into their signature salted caramel base), in a waffle cone. The ice cream lived up to the hype! It was so creamy and jam-packed with Oreo cookie pieces and crunchy caramel pieces. Both flavors were excellent, but if I had to pick one that I liked more, I'd say Cookies & Cream. The ice cream itself was like a cookies & cream base with HUGE Oreo cookie pieces rolled into it, the flavor was crazy good! The waffle cone tasted fresh and held both scoops with ease, worth the slight upcharge. For the high-quality ingredients, homemade flavors, and generous portion size, I felt the price I paid was reasonable. Big Papa's Creamery was an excellent experience! Pleasant staff, a happy & bright shop, and amazing homemade ice cream, I couldn't ask for more. I'm already thinking about what flavor I want to try next with my scoop of Cookies & Cream when I stroll through downtown Lancaster again.
