What we hoped would be a simple dryer vent cleaning turned out to be a much bigger job, because the builders of our home cut corners and the previous homeowners didn't take care of anything. I hired Green Air Environmental to replace my heating ducts that had been damaged by rats. After inspecting the ducts Jose recommended replacing the damaged ducts and offered to rat-proof the house as an optional service. He and his crew arrived at the appointed time, did the job perfectly, and cleaned up. I was very satisfied with the job they did. Within a few weeks the ducts started to blow out debris. I called Jose and he came back to see what was causing the problem. I had the pest control person and a contractor friend out at the same time to see if we could come up with a collective solution. The "little guy" on Jose's crew, who fit under my house, was not able to find an obvious cause; the rats hadn't gotten into the ducts as I thought they had. Jose thought about it and finally discovered that the cause was within the heating unit. He offered two options for repair and took care of it the same day at a very reasonable cost. Jose truly wanted to solve my problems in a way that worked best for me. He and his crew wore masks and were attentive to COVID safety while doing a thorough job. I've been ripped off in the past by shady workers of a well known department store who offers home services. They would upcharge me by making up problems and sell me products (dryer wall vent) for 5 times the price that you can get for it at your home improvement store. Young, dumb and naive I was. So when I had to look for another company to clean my dryer vent, I turned to yelp and combed through all the reviews. To be honest, I passed over Green Air Environmental at first only because they didn't have very many reviews (although 5 stars) unlike another company who had 100+ reviews. So I contacted the other company who wanted to charge me almost 3 times the amount that Green Air Environmental charged ($99 for the 1st 10 feet and $8 a foot for additional feet). So after reading reviews for Green Air Environmental, there was one review that dealt with the other company I got the original quote from and ultimately went with Green Air Environmental. So I decided to give them a try and I am so glad I did. Jose came within the time slot they scheduled me for (a day after I contacted them). I did watch him work because I was reminded of how I was cheated before, but soon realized I didn't really have to. He was honest, professional, courteous and knowledgable. And if you really want to get technical, he saved our lives! The vent was so clogged and dirty (see the before and after pics) it was only a matter of time before a fire started. And if you are wondering if these are just older pics from somewhere else or off the internet, they are not. I watched him as he took these pics and saw all the lint he pulled out.
