In Portland for a conference and spied this lively gem on Yelp. Conveniently near my hotel. About. 5 or so minute walk. The space is about the size you would expect in a more corporate building location, but very bright and welcoming with plants and Knick knacks. I went twice and received excellent customer service each time from two different baristas. Additionally, the coffee was very nice which always bonus in a coffee establishment. I don't know why, and I've been here 12 times now so I don't think it's just me, but the coffee just doesn't taste good. It's slightly off, maybe burnt? Or the machine is old or needs to be cleaned? Tried multiple different kinds offered here. It has confused me enough that I've finally decided to not go back. A bummer because this is the closest place to my work... I've even bugged my coworkers about it and they say it's off too, but many of them still go out of convenience. The employees here are always fast and polite. Place is very clean too. Like I said though, I don't know why the coffee has a bad taste to me. read more

Visiting from another state and stayed at the double tree. I read the reviews and since it was so close to where I was staying decided to try. I had high expectations going in and was really disappointed with my vanilla cappuccino and cinnamon roll. The cappuccino comes in one size? (8oz) because that's what was served to me. The roast was too light and subtly sweet which was probably a good thing because the cinnamon roll was sweet. It was too doughy for my liking and looked like it was sitting in the bakery display for more than a day. The service was friendly and the place is in a great spot. I really wanted to like this coffee but I think I will make the extra trek next time to The Market at The Hyatt for coffee. read more

We were visiting from WA state and each day we were there we tried different espresso spots. This was our favorite! The guy who seemed to be the owner was super friendly and welcoming. We each had different drinks, but the espresso was smooth and delicious. It is pretty small, and there is only street parking, but I would say it's worth a visit. read more

Green Bridge Coffee is a delightful place to visit for some delicious coffee, tea or bakery treats. The iced chai I got here today had a nice flavor with a touch of spiciness. They offer a variety of vegan bakery treats from Shoofly Vegan Bakery along with some bagels and a very nice breakfast sandwich (with or without meat). They have several milk substitutes but do charge extra for these. Each quarter Green Bridge Coffee features two local community blend partners that they donate 10% of every purchase towards. When you pay for your items you get to select which community blend partner will receive the donation from your purchase. The shop is well lit inside with nice seating. There is also a covered outdoor seating area that is very pleasant. They are open till 5pm on weekdays and 3pm on weekends. Still the best coffee I've had in Portland but now in a brick and mortar building rather than a stand so I can meet a friend and sit down to enjoy it inside or out. They provide a variety of milk options but a simple menu and a great concept with reinvesting 10% of profits back into the community. Hey guys, this used to be a coffee cart, and now has a beautiful brick-and-mortar location adjacent to the spacious, light-filled and colorful lobby of the Liberty Centre near Lloyd center. we enjoyed a chili and hot chocolate, and tried some of the chocolate chip banana bread from the bakery case. My daughter and I played tic-tac-toe in the cozy spot near the front window. Really enjoyed the light-filled space, lots of big windows natural light and not too cluttered space. Cute, modern bright green chairs in the signature color greet you on the outside, and friendly baristas greet you on the inside of the shop. The honor system coffee is a nice touch, and compliments the charity based model where donations go toward nonprofit organizations. All around a wonderful place to invest your coffee funds. read more

If you're the kind of person who is very concerned with knowing that every dollar you spend ends up contributing to good causes, this is a great coffee shop for you. If you are looking for a better roast than starbucks, this is not the coffee shop for you. The espresso is surprisingly acrid, and while it still definitely tastes like coffee, it's a bit of a let down for such a beautiful little shop in such a beautiful little neighborhood. Stopped by the other day for a mocha. It thankfully wasn't over the top sweet, which let the flavor of the coffee come through. Very solid. Also got a grilled cheese panini, which was excellent. The onions really made the sandwich; it was almost like a grilled cheese version of James Beard's famous onion sandwich (forgive the somewhat less than artful shot of that, btw). My family and I came here on the day of the soft opening. Usually soft opening means we need to figure our stuff out still and you're our trial run. Green Bridge staff had it together though. GB coffee is roasted just for them. The Americano tasted great. We ordered some bagels and hand pies which were all delish. Didn't realize my ham and cheddar hand pie was vegan until I was halfway through it and actually read the sign. The owner was there behind the bar and super friendly.
