Um, more like GREAT coffee! My friend brought me their strawberry mint matcha and it tasted like laying in a field of strawberries and mint and matcha (does matcha grow in fields?)

My only complaint would be that this place should be called "Best Coffee". It's the best coffee in PDX! Not only is the coffee fantastic, but so is the space and the people. I love sitting here on a rainy day while drinking a hot latte. I know this location is one of their smaller ones, but it's worth the visit!

On a recent visit to PDX we stopped in for a coffee and truly enjoyed the vibe. From the friendly dogs outside to the artful coffee and the sleek, Scandinavian interior, the whole experience made me sad that this isn't in Tacoma so I could go more often.

Matcha Lavender Latte w/ oat milk

Can't even front, I came here strictly off of the name. I wanted to see if the coffee was actually good. Thankfully it was. LOL Either Seattle is ridiculously expensive for coffee or Portland just got better prices overall cause getting 2 lattes for under $15 with tip is pretty cheap to me lmao The vibe here was cool, the staff were friendly and the coffee was was strong enough to taste in our lattes but not overpowering. I love when I can get a good balance! We ordered the matcha lavender & horchata lattes with oat milk and they were both delicious! Would def recommend. I saw someone studying here but I personally think it's a little too loud and small in there to not get distracted while trying to work. All in all, it IS good coffee and I would come back again!

The service and coffee were good! I like that they don't use lids and straws. Unfortunately I would give the almond croissant like a 2/5 :( as a croissant girlie it made me very sad. Most of it was dry and chewy except the very center was alright texture-wise. I kept waiting to taste the almond filling only to realize they put so little I didn't even realize it was there. Good coffee, bad croissant

One of the first coffee shops that I've visited in Oregon and I already feel like it will be in my top 3 favorites here. The design of the place is aesthetically relaxing and the staff is very friendly. The coffee wasn't too bitter or too sweet, just right. I would most definitely visit again.

I randomly stopped by before an appointment, & wow, the matcha lavender latte was incredible! The baristas were very friendly, & the cafe was extremely clean. I stayed for a bit to read, & I really loved the chill playlist & atmosphere. I can't wait to go back & try an espresso drink!

Unfortunately didn't live up to the hype. Maybe it was just the barista on that day, but the cortado was basically a mini latte

Small and cozy shop. Not enough space where I'd work there for a long time but still really nice and the coffee is a 8.5/10.

I have mixed feelings about my visit this morning. There is so much to love about the vibe here,…read morebut the actual drink execution left me frustrated. The Pros: First off, the staff is incredibly sweet and friendly. They make you feel welcome the second you walk in. The modern, cool design of the space is top tier. It is exactly the kind of atmosphere you want when grabbing a coffee in Portland. I also love their progressive approach to dairy; they default to plant based milks and there is no upcharge for them, which is a huge win for accessibility and sustainability. The Cons: Unfortunately, the experience was completely undercut by the quality of the pour. The oat milk curdled almost immediately. I am well aware that Stumptown uses a more naturally acidic brew, which is a science experiment waiting to happen with plant milks, and I know it is technically safe to drink. However, the separation completely ruins the mouthfeel. Instead of a creamy, cohesive sip, I was left with a watery base and grainy floaties. It is disappointing to be told that this is normal when specialty cafes have the tools like barista grade buffers and temperature control to prevent this. While the ethics and the aesthetic are on point, a drink that looks and feels curdled just is not an acceptable standard to serve to customers. Summary: Great people, great space, great pricing, but the technical execution of the plant based drinks needs a serious overhaul.

The cream top is rich and delicious, and when mixed into the coffee it really tastes like a classic tiramisu dessert. It's sweet, smooth, and feels like a treat without being overwhelming. The black sesame latte was also great, especially if you like nutty flavors. It has a natural sweetness with a deep roasted sesame taste that almost reminds me of peanut butter, making it both comforting and unique. They feature a rotating selection of the best beans from across the country (and locally!). Whether you're drinking a pour-over or a traditional macchiato, the flavor profiles are always distinct and expertly pulled. Masterful Latte Art: The baristas here are true artists.
