4. Sweet Sour Chicken Lunch Special
Jeff C.

We came in at lunch time to try this restaurant. The same day Ozzy Osbourne passed away. (Rip) The service was fast and friendly. The Ambiance was casual with comfy booths and tables. The sweet and sour chicken was good along with the egg drop soup. My wife's chicken lomein was good she said. In the heart of John's creek this is a good place for oriental cuisine. As with all places due to inflation the lunch prices are higher than expected. That being said, I think we found a new place to eat out on occasion.

Black mushroom and tofu with spring rolls and rice

Nice little spot with good food. Started off with hot n sour soup and steamed vegetable dumplings. Both very good. Also had the black mushroom and tofu dinner with an order of spring rolls. Again all good. They give the biggest bowl of rice I think I've ever gotten. By contrast the soup was a little small but it wasn't all that expensive. The meal portion was also big. The spring rolls were a bit greasy but that's not uncommon. I guess I've never had black mushroom before because they had an interesting texture and meaty chew to them. I think I would have remembered that but it also had some regular white shrooms mixed in.

CS2. Kung Pao Shrimp and Scallops Chef's Special

Amazing! I didn't have a lot of time when I pulled in the parking lot and I was debating going to 5 Guys but didn't want to feel burger bloat so I took a chance on this place. I didn't say anything about being in a hurry but I sat down, they took my order, and bam! I looked up from my phone and they already had the food done! Lighting fast! The Kung Pao Prawns and Scallops Chef Special was incredible! The prawns were noticeably fresh and the scallops were perhaps the best I've ever had anywhere! The vegetables were sautéed perfectly! And I'm still amazed at how fast they were. Best tasting Chinese food I've had in a really long time. Next time I'm in Atlanta I'm coming back for sure!

Really loved this place! The food was excellent and very flavorful, and had a nice amount of spice to it. Definitely will be ordering from here again!

Great place for lunch. My wife and I stopped by for a quick lunch. We ordered the Tang Su Yuk sweet…read moreand sour crispy pork and the Bokkeum Jja Jang black beans noodle platter. The portion here is hugeeeee. We couldn't finish it and had enough left over for dinner. The crispy pork was very crispy. We liked that the sauce was served separately. The noodles were good, but they weren't al dente enough for my liking.

This dish is lightly battered fried shrimp with a soy sauce bases sauce with red pepper and black pepper spices. It also features other sautéed veggies like green peppers and onions. The shrimp were spiced nicely, but also had the flavor of black pepper coming through. A lot of places don't get that right. The perfect mix of that spice red pepper heat and hint of black pepper are exactly why I love about this dish. The shrimp were fried perfectly and the veggies deliciously sauted. The Haemul Jjampong was a flavor and spice bomb. The broth was so flavorful and had a great essence of the seafood in it (squid, mussels, abalone). This soup is also for people not afraid of the spice...it was SPICY, but no so much that it was unenjoyable. The spice complemented the flavor and I loved it. The take-home of the leftovers was just as good the next day! If I had to say anything that they might think of changing, would be the addition of kimchi to the banchan. The banchan was ddanmuji (pickled radish, raw white onions, marinated white onion slivers, and soy marinated peanuts). A little plate mat kimchi to wrap around the Jjampong noodles would be perfection.

Finally.. a restaurant that doesn't sweeten their jjajangmyun…read more Very spacious restaurant with lots of parking available. All staff was very attentive. I was very skeptical of their spicy jjajangmyun thinking how could thai chilis make it taste good? oh boy was I wrong to assume It was 10/10. I have never finished a dish of black bean noodles because of how sweet everyone makes it. Not Chef Fung Mei! They did an amazing job and I know I'll be back for my next craving. My husband really enjoyed his jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle). To be honest it wasn't all the rave. it was decent but we definitely had better. However, it wasn't horrible either. The sweet fried pork was probably our least favorite dish. It wasn't bad! but it was just very basic. I like when restaurants use the mochi type of batter to make it more crispy yet chewy. They do have a big menu so I hope to stop by and try their other dishes.

Not good - a good decade or two behind what the other Kor-Chinese joints offer, and they are not even that great either. Noodles were soggy with no depth, beef/pork that came in with noodles (jjm) and dishes (tsy) were tough and smelled old. Dry jjm was not dry-fried but wet and soggy. Not tryna be too critical, but restaurants should be graded and supported with what it delivers ultimately bringing to what the clients want and expect to receive. Good luck.

My wife and I were craving Szechuan chicken for lunch, and since she wanted to try a new matcha tea…read morespot in Duluth, we decided to turn it into a little date day. We found a restaurant not far from the matcha shop. It felt more like a Chinese takeout spot than a traditional sit-down restaurant, so there wasn't much to speak of in terms of decor. We decided to share everything we ordered. The first dish we tried was the Szechuan noodles. The flavor was excellent, but unfortunately, the dish arrived only lukewarm, as it appeared to have been sitting for a while before being brought to the table. Next, we ordered soup dumplings, but the restaurant accidentally brought out pan-seared dumplings instead. Thankfully, they let us keep them while they prepared our original order. The pan-seared dumplings were actually very good--piping hot and full of flavor. When the soup dumplings finally arrived, they were decent but didn't quite live up to the pan-seared version and lacked the same level of flavor. Finally, our Szechuan chicken arrived. It was hot, fresh, and delicious. The chicken was crispy with a great spice profile that delivered the classic Szechuan kick without being overwhelming. It was served with fried rice, which was fine but nothing particularly memorable. Overall, the experience was good but not exceptional. The food had some strong points, especially the Szechuan chicken and pan-seared dumplings, but the restaurant ultimately felt more like a solid Chinese takeout spot than a destination dining experience.
