I was very happy they had an A from the Health Dept. We were going to sit in the restaurant, but it's the same menu in Green Room 42. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste of everything we had. While dining, the music was at a great level. It was easy to have a conversation. The service was also good, especially for a nightclub. The old fashioned was well balanced. They offered 2 warm drinks. I had the one with whiskey and it was delicious - garnished with whipped cream, star anise, cinnamon stick and crisp apple slice. The chicken lettuce wrap appetizer comes with three portions and covered by a delicious, but slightly oily crisp. It was ample enough to be a light entree for one. The half chicken was moist and had crisp skin. I liked the light salad, potatoes and carrots that came with it. We also ordered the mushroom side dish. It was tasty and a hardy portion.

Backstreet Boys, black eyed peas, Brittany spears and 80s classics as well. No wait and got sat immediately. Not too many people here at 8pm Which makes it crazier that it took 40 mins for food to come. The menu looks like it's changed up from some of the reviews, no more tacos. Out of ranch, certain drinks on the menu not available Only about 5 of us out here and 1 waitress. It is connected to the hotel so maybe you shouldn't expect fast service? My app came out with everyone's mains. Maybe they didn't want it to be the only thing on the table even though it was shareable spicy crispy rolls lol? The steak frites was pretty good and did come a lot faster after ordering after everyone else's food had came My mom said her smash burger was great. And our server the lady with the accent was very nice and didn't charge for my mom sending her drink back. We all agreed we'd probably not come back for the food but for the huge outdoor area

Stopped on this rooftop restaurant for lunch. Shared the truffle fries and Brussels sprouts - which were crispy and flavorful. The flat breads where on the thicker side and should have been called personal pizzas The French toast was good but nothing special. The burger was the best item of the day besides the Brussels sprouts. The burger was tasty with a great sweet sauce and crispy fries.

I came here with my boyfriend for brunch while we were visiting NYC. It was empty, so we were quickly seated indoors. I ordered the eggs Benedict, which came with a small side salad. The egg was perfectly cooked, and the yolk spilled out when I cut the egg with a fork. The egg yolk tasted great with the spinach and the brioche bun. The side salad was also a great addition to the meal. The waitress was friendly and helpful. Overall, we had a great experience and would come back next time we're in the area.

(TL;DR: 3.5 stars for food, -.5 for being overpriced, -1 for having a very misleading/out of date Yelp page where most of the items are not on the menu anymore. Felt a bit duped into going.) This is the exact same establishment as "social drink and food", in the Yotel on 4th floor. (Not sure why they made two Yelp listings, so they can keep the higher rated one?) Came here for brunch. Not great not bad, but pricey for what it is. Food is nothing spectacular but also no negative surprises. Portions are pretty decent. I would say 3.5, but rounded down because it's a bit overpriced. I went there because of interesting dishes I saw on Yelp but something like 70% of those were not on the menu so just FYI. Terrace is quiet and not crowded on a Sunday. It's mostly shaded and cool on a hot summer day. Minimal views though unless you like looking at a bunch of residential high rises (as opposed to skyline, as in you can't see the horizon just a bunch of buildings towering over the area). I guess eat here if you're staying at the hotel, or need to find an uncrowded last minute outdoor terrace for your event. Otherwise there are some other food choices in a 10 min radius you'll probably end up happier with - just search on Yelp.

Hotel is great for the price, but the food isn't worth the price w the exception of one dish "sweet chili chicken tacos". Cute bar and nice outdoor seating. If staying at the hotel, at least it's convenient to have a restaurant inside the hotel for a quick bite.

Came back in July for Restaurant Week with some friends. Ate out on the roof deck which was beautiful and made for a wonderful evening. The food was selicuius. I had the gazpacho, steak and chocolate pudding for dessert. Everything was plated beautifully and the service was great. Would definitely come again.

Great rooftop, we also loved the Brussels sprouts. Flatbread tasted like frozen Elio's but I like that so all good. The smash burger was great - definitely smashed into submission and then cooked to a perfect medium well which is good because they don't let you order it any other way

(You must go to the front desk (on 4th floor) and redeem your voucher for a chip! *** Sooo~~ I believe this place has tried for better and it worked on me! The menu seems a little different and the food came out good!!!! I really enjoyed the Grilled Califlower with my glass of wine :P My last night stay i needed a quick bite and ordered the Kale salad via Yelp. (Next time I shall stick with my Califlower!) ^_^ - will be back!

As we had our cocktails we discussed going somewhere else as the vibe was flat. But my husband convinced me to stay as it's already 8:30. We head upstairs to our table, only to be greeted by another less enthusiastic server. He never told us his name or offered up any menu highlights. I was excited to have bone marrow and escargot. Both failed epically. The bone marrow was inedible as it was like cold custard. Escargot had zero flavor and a real lack of garlic and good butter. Tasted more like vegetable oil than good butter. We shared the lobster pasta entree. Tasted more like Mexican goulash. No Italian flavors to be found in the sauce. Never once did the nameless waiter stop and inquire about our meal. Just all around a poor experience and a disappointing Friday night. There are far better places that appreciate your patronage. We will not be coming back. Not worth it.

The ambiance feels straight of the golden age, which is an aesthetic I'm certainly a sucker for. Even their robust cocktail menu fits the bill and is one of the prettiest menus I've ever had the joy of perusing. Staff was able to sit us a little bit ahead of our reservation which was also much appreciated. Wait staff was also very helpful and attentive, I don't think I've ever had my water glass so topped off! Starting off with cocktails, this place is a gin bar through and through and you'd be making a mistake if you didn't try one of their many options. I went with the 10,000 words, which you simply just give a spirit of your choice (I picked gin of course) and whether you antes) wanted your drink shaken or stirred and the bartender does the rest, so a bit of a surprise! I wound up with their version of The Last Word which was delightfully citrusy but I was hoping I'd wind up with something a little more adventurous app things considered. My girlfriend got the blackberry G&T, which was not only very pleasing to look at but delicious to boot. For food, we started with splitting some zucchini blossoms and beef cheek bao buns (both come in portions of 3). Both were tasty, but I love a good bao bun and these were so light and pillowy, I could have just went for an order of those for my main course. For the entree I went for the roasted half chicken, perhaps the most unassuming choice on the menu but this was maybe the best roast chicken I've ever had. Prepared perfectly, cooked to perfection, excellent portion size, and the kicker of it all was the stunning gravy that I was tempted to lick my plate for. Chicken is very easy to screw up, and they nailed it on all fronts here. My girlfriend went for the Valerie Signature burger with white cheddar and this thing did not mess around! A very rich patty, cooked to her temperature of choice served alongside some garlic truffle fries that made an American classic feel just a little more elevated. Our experience was delightful and I'd love to comeback here again, especially to check out more of the cocktail menu and soak in more of that golden age aura the place gives.

We reserved for a quick bite at Redeye Grill before catching Dog Day Afternoon on Broadway, but as soon as we walked up, some bouncer told us they were closed for a private wedding reception. We were dazed and confused because how was I able to reserve online? But the real plot twist was that it ended up being the best thing that happened. We actually stumbled into Tanner Smith's thinking it'd be the typical, boring bar-food spot. Nope. They first sat us at a hi-top by the door, but that wasn't our vibe, so we grabbed seats at the bar instead. Best decision. Our bartender, Josiah, was absolutely killing it. My cocktail had passion fruit, so of course I asked my usual question: "But is it real passion fruit?" He just nodded in agreement and that told me everything I needed to know. That drink was legit and had nice strength. The food was great too. My fish tacos were packed with fresh fish, the guacamole and salsa were chunky and full of flavor and hubs enjoyed his pastrami sandwich. I have no clue when we'll be back in Midtown, but one thing's for sure- we're sitting with Josiah again.
