Backstreet Boys, black eyed peas, Brittany spears and 80s classics as well. No wait and got sat immediately. Not too many people here at 8pm Which makes it crazier that it took 40 mins for food to come. The menu looks like it's changed up from some of the reviews, no more tacos. Out of ranch, certain drinks on the menu not available Only about 5 of us out here and 1 waitress. It is connected to the hotel so maybe you shouldn't expect fast service? My app came out with everyone's mains. Maybe they didn't want it to be the only thing on the table even though it was shareable spicy crispy rolls lol? The steak frites was pretty good and did come a lot faster after ordering after everyone else's food had came My mom said her smash burger was great. And our server the lady with the accent was very nice and didn't charge for my mom sending her drink back. We all agreed we'd probably not come back for the food but for the huge outdoor area

Drove into the city to watch the dueling pianos at Yotel. It was at the Green Fig on the fourth floor. While it was not my first time at the hotel, it was my first time at the restaurant. We requested to be close to the performers and were seated basically right in front of them. Definitely appreciated the accommodation! For food, we decided on something light. Ordered the truffle fries with white truffle oil, pecorino romano, chives. For drinks, I ordered a Prickly Prickly. Can't recall the drink my friend got. The truffle fries were good. You can't go wrong with them. My drink was good and had the perfect balance. We enjoyed the show - the drummer was incredible! Wish the pianos were actually dueling instead of duetting. The pianos/singers did great with the broadway requests, but struggled with pop songs and other requests. They still had customers dancing and singing along. Overall, it was a nice night with nice company. The show was definitely the star of the night.

Stopped on this rooftop restaurant for lunch. Shared the truffle fries and Brussels sprouts - which were crispy and flavorful. The flat breads where on the thicker side and should have been called personal pizzas The French toast was good but nothing special. The burger was the best item of the day besides the Brussels sprouts. The burger was tasty with a great sweet sauce and crispy fries.

I came here with my boyfriend for brunch while we were visiting NYC. It was empty, so we were quickly seated indoors. I ordered the eggs Benedict, which came with a small side salad. The egg was perfectly cooked, and the yolk spilled out when I cut the egg with a fork. The egg yolk tasted great with the spinach and the brioche bun. The side salad was also a great addition to the meal. The waitress was friendly and helpful. Overall, we had a great experience and would come back next time we're in the area.

(TL;DR: 3.5 stars for food, -.5 for being overpriced, -1 for having a very misleading/out of date Yelp page where most of the items are not on the menu anymore. Felt a bit duped into going.) This is the exact same establishment as "social drink and food", in the Yotel on 4th floor. (Not sure why they made two Yelp listings, so they can keep the higher rated one?) Came here for brunch. Not great not bad, but pricey for what it is. Food is nothing spectacular but also no negative surprises. Portions are pretty decent. I would say 3.5, but rounded down because it's a bit overpriced. I went there because of interesting dishes I saw on Yelp but something like 70% of those were not on the menu so just FYI. Terrace is quiet and not crowded on a Sunday. It's mostly shaded and cool on a hot summer day. Minimal views though unless you like looking at a bunch of residential high rises (as opposed to skyline, as in you can't see the horizon just a bunch of buildings towering over the area). I guess eat here if you're staying at the hotel, or need to find an uncrowded last minute outdoor terrace for your event. Otherwise there are some other food choices in a 10 min radius you'll probably end up happier with - just search on Yelp.

Sweet chili chicken tacos - excellent!!! We ordered another

Hotel is great for the price, but the food isn't worth the price w the exception of one dish "sweet chili chicken tacos". Cute bar and nice outdoor seating. If staying at the hotel, at least it's convenient to have a restaurant inside the hotel for a quick bite.

Came back in July for Restaurant Week with some friends. Ate out on the roof deck which was beautiful and made for a wonderful evening. The food was selicuius. I had the gazpacho, steak and chocolate pudding for dessert. Everything was plated beautifully and the service was great. Would definitely come again.

Great rooftop, we also loved the Brussels sprouts. Flatbread tasted like frozen Elio's but I like that so all good. The smash burger was great - definitely smashed into submission and then cooked to a perfect medium well which is good because they don't let you order it any other way

We reserved for a quick bite at Redeye Grill before catching Dog Day Afternoon on Broadway, but as soon as we walked up, some bouncer told us they were closed for a private wedding reception. We were dazed and confused because how was I able to reserve online? But the real plot twist was that it ended up being the best thing that happened. We actually stumbled into Tanner Smith's thinking it'd be the typical, boring bar-food spot. Nope. They first sat us at a hi-top by the door, but that wasn't our vibe, so we grabbed seats at the bar instead. Best decision. Our bartender, Josiah, was absolutely killing it. My cocktail had passion fruit, so of course I asked my usual question: "But is it real passion fruit?" He just nodded in agreement and that told me everything I needed to know. That drink was legit and had nice strength. The food was great too. My fish tacos were packed with fresh fish, the guacamole and salsa were chunky and full of flavor and hubs enjoyed his pastrami sandwich. I have no clue when we'll be back in Midtown, but one thing's for sure- we're sitting with Josiah again.

Both dishes were great and filling. The cauliflower had a lot of bold flavors! The onion ring on top of the Mac and cheese was a nice touch. I couldn't really taste the truffle but I would still order the dish again.

There was a wonderful bartender and waiter (both from Ireland) working the night that we went. They were both delightfully witty. Two-part, proper settle, tight dome, no rushing it. That's rarer than it should be in Midtown where half the bars treat a stout like a lager. Whoever's behind the bar here has been trained or grew up around it. Food's better than a second-floor pub between 5th and 6th has any right to be. The JRB burger comes on a house-ground patty (they grind in-house, and you can tell, loose texture, actual seasoning), caramelized onions cooked down all the way, not just softened, good cheese pull. Fried pickles on the side had a crisp cornmeal shell and stayed crunchy under the burger juices, which never happens. Buttermilk chicken salad was the surprise. Chicken actually brined, crust stayed on, greens weren't an afterthought. Only real knock: music was loud. Not sports-bar loud, more like the bartender's playlist got away from him. Fine at the bar, harder at a table if you want to talk. Room's got real bones. Reclaimed barn wood, old rail track as a foot rest, that big 45-star flag on the wall. Been here almost 20 years and it's aged into itself. For the neighborhood the pricing's fair. Beats P.J. Clarke's on the burger, loses on quiet. Go for a beer and a burger, not a date.

Reservations open 2 weeks in advance around 10am and they go super fest so I recommend you try for the day you need as for me I could only have gotten brunch on a Sunday. Those people spam the crap out of their buttons for the dinner spots and when I went I can see why. The place is brimming with old school New York charm and it's completely overwhelmingly beautiful and has an old jazzy vibe to it. It's large and spacious and they sat us in the middle of the entire restaurant. (I had a group of 6) The vibe was so good you don't really want to leave and they also don't really kick you out. I think we were the last ones to exit for brunch but they were so nice they didn't kick us out. Their espresso martinis are ok. It wasn't as amazing as a regular cocktail bar but it is just ok. We started off with a shrimp cocktail, smoked whitefish Caesar salad and the two plates of truffle monkey bread which was soooo good. I really enjoyed this as it's the main reason we came here. It's almost like a honey dinner roll with truffle. We got everything next which some people got their own and some shared. Some people got their own American breakfast platter which was some overdone eggs and a meat with gigantic toast and if you only order scrambled eggs it comes in a bowl but I would much rather order their classics like steak sandwich and the spicy shrimp was pretty good! Fries are top tier! I can see why people just come here for dinner. I would give it mostly 5 stars for the overall ambiance and environment and a few classics. I think their old fashioned is better than their espresso martinis though even though it looks so good in this type of setting! It's hard to get a reservation though so next time I'll need to try some new things if I score another!
