I liked this place before it was sold...it was a cool place to hangout with wifi, juice, and great salads BUT the 'new' place has way better food. The last 2 times I have gone there I have had amazing food. Each time one of the owners recommended a special that was spot on. I'm not sure what their background is but they know and obviously love food! Today I had delicious carnitas...the pork was delectable and tender and it had just the right amount of cilantro, onion, lime, and garlic aioli. My usual apres ski place is Blue Donkey Burgers or oysters from Stowe Seafood but there are a lot more choices here and its a way more warm environment to hang out in. I don't understand how this place does not get five stars. We showed up at 2:30, a half hour before closing, yet the service was friendly and prompt and the food was delicious. I had the au juice sandwich which is undescribable terms of its tastiness. Like all good sandwiches , you have to start with the right bread and then they topped it off with the roast beef cooked medium rare. it's a 45 minute drive but I'm going back for more ASAP. read more

Came for breakfast, but we arrived 10 minutes late, yet the friendly helpful staff still made us breakfast sandwiches anyways. Coffees, sandwiches, salads, juices- everything looked healthy, amazing, and fresh. There's a BIG $10 fresh salad offering that you can add your favorite ingredients to. Went in to check out the updated menu! Top of the sandwich board grabbed my attention: Cubano. Yes please! My tastebuds were beyond happy. Moist bread, savory meats and the crunch of the added pickle ~ so good~ I convinced my boyfriend to go in just so he could try one of his own. I had to steal a bite before it was all gone! One of the rare places I get multiple options for vegetarian food. Love the "Goddess Grilled Cheese" sandwich. They have a nice Vegetarian Gyro as well with Falafel and Salad. Visited Stowe twice in the last year and stopped multiple times at the Green Goddess Cafe. Definitely recommend it. read more

This place was fantastic, fantastic, fantastic!!!! Go there if you want truly fresh food, nice friendly service and a small town feel. Locals were well known to the staff! I had a tofu scramble, not because I'm a vegetarian, but, because I enjoy tofu. It was cooked really well and seasoned with curry. It came with a side of rosemary homefries. Truthfully, I could have eaten two helpings, not because the serving wasn't substantial, but, because it was soooo delicious!!!!! My husband's omelet was delicious. His only regret was that the menu was very small without a lot of choices. The quality of the food outweighed that for me. My only regret was that we didn't go there every morning we stayed in Stowe! This place is good, however I found that they try to charge you for every little thing! No food. Walked in at 10:45 expecting juices, smoothies, and breakfast. They said they could not serve breakfast or even make a juice or smoothie. For a place that advertises fresh made juices and smoothies, I found it very disappointing they could not even whip up a quick smoothie. They had a little kid crying that he couldn't get breakfast, frequently ran out of coffee, and ran out of avocados. As other have commented, food was good, but nothing spectacular. I tried the tofu scramble which was tasty. My wife had the oatmeal and my kids had the pancakes. Pancakes tasted home made. We also had a banana chocolate chip muffin. Staff was friendly and the atmosphere is nice. There is a counter that seats four or five as well as a number of tables. I was visiting friends in Stowe, VT and they suggested this place. We went for a late breakfast. Now I know that this is a tourist town/resort town and everything is expensive, but I paid $9.50 for two eggs, one piece of toast, bacon, and home fries. Fine, it's expensive, but the problem was that my eggs were awful. I'm not sure how to describe them because I've never really had bag eggs before. They were watery, runny, and overall just pretty tasteless. I don't know; maybe I just got bad eggs that day. The bacon was fine. Home fries were okay. Athena I am glad to see that you read your reviews however when I explained my phone call incident with your staff member to one of my colleagues he decided to call your restaurant and see what was up and he was met with an apparently different individual who gladly took his order and mine and did not mention anything about being completely out of food. Accidents do happen and since your food is of such high quality I will most likely relent and give your restaurant another chance however it seems that customer service skills are a quality that some do not possess and you should be aware of how your staff treats your customers because it is a direct reflection on your business. read more

I was excited to eat here when I walked in but then I saw the prices & my excitement quickly died down. For two more dollars I could've gotten a full meal at an upscale restaurant down the street that actually came with sides. The food ended up being pretty bland & I thought the surcharge for using credit cards was sorta crazy. They had a variety of green drinks & smoothies but I couldn't justify spending any more money at a cafe than I already had for the sandwhich. As far as the decor goes- it was alright, borderline cute. I did like how the water glasses were mason jars, I thought that was pretty cool. Decent little cafe, not what I expected but good food. I got a standard egg sandwich and it was really good but they didn't have cheese options nor did they have regular mustard. Also, we weren't really greeted. We sat down and looked at the menu board, and waited for someone to take our order but only when someone else walked in and up to the register did we realize we were doing it wrong. The ingredients were okay.We had high expectations based on the reviews. Maybe we should have ordered the salads. Love this place. Everything is clean, organic and fresh. They have a card that you can get custom salads, just fill out what you want and they will make it. (As soon as you walk in-to the right) Great sandwiches, awesome iced teas, I've been here a few times and every time I have been happy! They have Cold pressed juices too that look delicious. We had a pretty good breakfast here this morning on the way out of Stowe, but it was nothing to write home about. I had been excited to try the breakfast burrito, but didn't see it on the menu when we were there so instead tried the southwest breakfast wrap. It was just ok. I subbed the sausage for tofu, and unfortunately it just didn't have any flavor at all. Hubby got an omelette with homefries and toast and he enjoyed his meal. The coffee was good. The green goddess is a local sandwich and breakfast place. Everything was good, but not really good. My wife and I got two sandwiches, the Greek wrap and the chicken Philly. We each had half of each and they were definitely tasty, but nothing special. There were only two small tables outside, which is a downside, particularly on a beautiful fall day. read more
