    Lobster roll warm with butter

Had a wonderful meal at Green Island Oyster last night. $1.50 oysters and we went innnnn - started with 12 each then ordered more as dessert. Lobster roll was $32 and packed with meat. I got mine warm with butter. Tasted like summer! Service and ambiance were charming and they're open until 10pm. This place is going to be a hit as it gets warmer. Don't wait to try it!

Fresh seafood spot worth checking out. Green Island Oyster is a great addition to the city if you're craving fresh seafood. Great place for a nice night out. They've got fantastic seafood options and also a raw bar right up front where you can see oysters being freshly shucked. Even serve wood-fired pizza if you're in the mood for something different. We really enjoyed everything we ordered--the food overall was great. My favorite was definitely the Hot Crab Dip. If you're a crab and cheese lover like me, you gotta try it. They take reservations through Resy, which is super convenient--especially on busy nights. Valet and self-parking are available, but it can get crowded. There's also a city lot next door for a small fee.

Met up with some friends at Green Island Oyster in Worcester for a few adult beverages --which were all really good! My other half & I decided to split a lobster roll, and I have to say it was even better than when I had it back in July. The roll was packed with lobster meat, & those fries were perfectly crispy with just the right amount of kick. Big shoutout to our waiter Zachary who was absolutely fabulous!

Excellent food and very courteous service. I especially appreciated the $1 oysters on a half shell. We ate outside, which was a nice patio area. The downside was the long wait for our dinner - about 45 minutes.

We ate at the bar, a great first visit. I don't give 5's much, but this visit earned it. Pros - Best oysters I've had in a long time. 3 different, all sweet and fresh. - Large menu, lots of choices even for non-fish people - Good drink menu, but only Worcester beer was in a can (boo!) - Staff was attentive Negatives - None

A mess left when dessert was brought over. Apple crumble dessert that was more crumble than apple.

Food was not as described, quality was poor and service was not horrible. Will not be back. Tried to give feedback to manager. I felt there was lack of understanding. Almost a smirk was given.

Lobster Mac and cheese, buffalo wings, fisherman's platter

Food was good! Great place to get fried fish. Service was a little slow for an empty restaurant but overall a positive experience

    Amazing oysters

The oysters were amazing so clean and at the best price will definitely be going back soon . Very nice atmosphere and excellent service .

Drink special in a super cool glass!

Our waitress was pleasant and prompt throughout our dinner. On our first visit my co-diner ordered the fried scallops, and thought they were very tasty. So, on this visit we ordered: * 2 - Fried Scallop Baskets (one with regular fries, the other with sweet potato fries) * Chicken Wings Side with BBQ Sauce Our order arrived quite quickly, and I immediately sampled a sweet potato fry. Tasty! Hot, crispy, and nicely cooked. The same could be said for the regular fries. It's unfortunate so many restaurants are French fried challenged, with fries that are served too cool and limp. Kudos to Juicy Seafood for great fries. The scallops were also tasty, with or without the bread crumbs (which come off very easily). They were fresh tasting, very hot and very juicy. However, the chicken wings were not good, they were overcooked, overloaded with sauce and difficult to eat. I wouldn't recommend those. Overall, we were happy with our dinner and would be delighted to return.

Everything in the boil was wayyy too salty though! I would also love if they included calamari rings as part of their seafood offerings. It's the kind of place where you immediately feel relaxed but still excited for the meal ahead. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without being overbearing. As for the food, I ordered the quarter pound lobster roll, and it was absolutely outstanding. The lobster was fresh, tender, and generously portioned, with flavors that were rich yet beautifully balanced. Every bite was satisfying. Honestly very heavy and was glad I split the one size they had with a friend. It would have been too much. There was a little layer of oil on top too. The Faux Fiz mocktail I got was good. However, a lot of "spices". I ended up requesting more ginger beer and lime to cut it. That helped. But overall good quality drink. The Atlantic salmon crudo was very interesting. Nothing close to what I expected. It was gross. Really thick salmon over globs of a black garlic aioli. The ratio was so off. It was so pasty. I am shocked they haven't reviewed that item on their menu. Usually crudos are so nice and light. This was not. The wild Spanish octopus was the better of the three dishes. Just needed some more salt. Or more of the chorizo would have sufficed. I was surprised that this place was nothing like it used to be. Will not be back :(

Not much to look at from outside nestled in a tight residential neighborhood with limited street parking but complimentary valet service. Mare E Monti - Exceptional Authentic Italian & Seafood Pasta Spot in Worcester, MA…read more Mare E Monti is an exceptional Italian gem -- probably home to the best seafood pasta I've ever had. I was in town ahead of a half marathon near Hampton Beach on Sunday. After a long drive and a surprise call that my extended family was touring the East Coast nearby, we decided to meet halfway -- and Worcester made perfect sense. I booked a table for eight at 8 PM on Saturday. We miscounted our party, which led to about a 45-minute wait, but honestly, that just gave us more time to catch up. The interior strikes a lovely balance -- rustic yet modern, cozy yet romantic, and unmistakably Italian in feel. Starters We kicked off with two plates of Calamari Fritti -- classic native calamari, lightly fried and tossed with cherry peppers and a delicate butter sauce. Absolutely delicious; I had to restrain myself from finishing the whole plate. Complimentary garlic bread with olive oil was also served, and I stopped myself at 2-3 slices to save room for the race-fueling carbs to come. For salad, I chose the Insalata Casalinga -- crisp field greens, grape tomatoes, julienne carrots, cucumbers, red onion, and imported olives in a light vinaigrette. Simple, fresh, and highly recommended. The Main Event The real reason I chose Mare E Monti was simple: carb loading. I went with the Pasta con Cozze e Fagioli -- sautéed mussels in a garlic white wine sauce with diced tomatoes and cannellini beans, tossed with linguine. It was everything I'd hoped for: flavorful yet light, satisfying without being heavy. The mussels were tender, the beans added substance, and the pasta was perfectly cooked. Others at the table tried the Ravioli di Aragosta (lobster ravioli) on my recommendation. I snagged a bite -- and it was heavenly. Rich, delicate, and beautifully balanced. Final Thoughts Dinner here was the perfect pre-race meal -- nourishing without weighing me down. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the service attentive, and the food consistently excellent. Even parking was simple; I found easy street parking just around the corner (though valet is also available). Oh, and the next morning? I ran a personal best in my half marathon -- just over 1 hour and 20 minutes. I'd like to think the perfect plate of pasta helped fuel that finish. All in all, Mare E Monti is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Italian cuisine and standout seafood pasta in the Worcester area. I'll absolutely be back next time I'm in Massachusetts.
