    Love this place. Friendly waitstaff, fun bartenders, and delicious food! What else do you want? It can be loud sometimes since people can have a crowd for a celebration, but it's worth it. Oh, and they have fantastic specials... how about $1 tacos? Fresh meat, almost street taco style, but they are much bigger. Check them out!

    The menu is small. The portions were average. The prices are good. The place was hopping. Absolutely no parking when I arrived or left. Definitely creative parking is a must. Service was very good, especially given the amount of people. The bar was packed as well. I had a special. Baked chicken. Not a fan of the marinara but it was good.

    First time here. Started with a few salads and Bruschetta. The homemade croutons were really good, the bruschetta was ok. All the flavor was there, the bread wasn't toasted enough for me. Buffalo Mac and cheese was rich and had a little kick to it. The Chicken Parmesan stole the show, the linguine and the chicken was perfectly cooked and it was smothered in cheese. The sauce here is amazingly sweet and hearty. We will def be back, all the food that passed by us looked great.

    Wow, really loved this place! The night didn't start off great. We reserved a booth and they put us at a low top table in a very loud and drafty corner. It had a lot of windows and was a noise tunnel. I was so cold and couldn't hear anything but the waitress kindly and generously moved us to a much better high top table in a quieter and warmer location. After that the night was great! We split the chicken parm egg rolls, wow!! Crispy and perfectly seasoned, I would go back just for those! The Santas Hat cocktail was delish, tart with a fun, sweet and chewy, coconut flake rim, oh so good!! I very much enjoyed it. Then I had a Razz Lime Ricky which was fine, but a bit sweeter than a raspberry lime Ricky would be. Still enjoyed it. My husband had a seafood pasta dish, for the life of me I won't recall the name. But he loved it. He said he doesn't normally love muscles, but they were well cooked and very enjoyable. My chicken piccata had great flavor and was very good, however, it did not give off chicken piccata vibes with the mushrooms, tomatoes and very lite sauce compared to the traditional version. I did really enjoy it though. Minus the difficulty parking, we loved it here!

    I only ordered takeout from this restaurant so far and only fish n chips. My first experience was amazing loved the fish and chips. The batter or coating they use was perfect. Much better than the egg roll lady. Fish was definitely fresh. The service for pick up is pretty fast. If they say 15 minutes it will be done in like 10. My last two take out fish n chips orders have been sorta disappointing though. I always like the portion size of the fish but one order didn't taste fresh. Then my next order came with a whole different fry coating that was not good and was falling off the fish. The fries were super soggy as well. They definitely need to stick to the original fry coating they previously used. The new one is trash. Before my last experience ordering fish n chips here. I spoke highly of the fish n chips here. I cant do that now and i wont order it here anymore. This place is always busy so im gonna try something else like chicken parm. Hopefully its bussin. They doing something good to be constantly packed. Maybe they not cheap with the fries if you dine in. From 1 to 10 they get a 6.5. It would be higher if they work on the little things. Batter and stop being cheap with the fries.

    Food is very bland. Don't order the braised short rib risotto, it's so dry and flavorless.

I walked into the beautiful red brick building where The Fix is located. The restaurants overall ambiance was very welcoming- The staff just as nice! This is not just a 1 review kind of place- The Phenomenal burger was SO GOOD that I went back the next day and had The Stark Burger which had 2 (1/4 patties) with double pepper jack cheese, red onion, thinly sliced jalapeno, bacon, chipotle mayo on a brioche bun! The Stark was just as good (in different ways) as the Phenomenal Burger- both were cooked to perfection! I will absolutely be back- because there are a number of burgers I still need to try......If you are in Worcester, MA and in the mood for a burger- be sure to put The Fix Burger Bar on your "must try" places.

Da Wangs ; we came here precisely for Korean Fried Chicken which is especially known for being double-fried. The cook pulled them out of the heating drawer - already fried as expected - and dropped them in the fryer... and then proceeded to disappear for several minutes. Oh no. The plating of the dish looks delicious, but biting into it... the worst fried chicken we've ever had. The skin was so hard and crunchy and the burnt taste was unavoidable. The only redeemable flavor was the very paltry glaze of hot honey on the wings. Gnocch Bokki ; we love tteokbokki and this seemed like a really interesting take on it. we watched the chef fry up the aromatic ingredients and mushrooms for what seemed like forever. AND he disappeared multiple times. We don't appreciate waiting 40-50 minutes for food for no damn reason. The rice cakes had a delightful crisp to them, but the duck was utterly dry and unenjoyable despite the sous vide description. The sauce was unpleasantly cloying after the first few bites. I don't know what I'm suppose to take from the flavor profile, but IMO it just tasted like a plate of hoisin sauce. The bartender/waitress talked about how she had past career experience as a food safety (or health?) inspector and it was interesting to listen to... and shortly after that she grabbed a bite off of a large sauced-up plate near the burners... and then the chef proceeded to use that same plate to glaze our wings. So, when a good friend called and told me that there was a new one that opened in Shrewsbury, it was off to the races. I had to experience this. Service: We got seated nearly instantaneously when we got in the door and the place was already quite busy by the time that we got there. My friend got a salad of some sort with a sandwich and I got one of their signature burgers. The waitress appeared in a timely fashion, took the orders, had drinks on the table in no time, and was very attentive to any and all needs. Ambiance: It was on a Saturday during sports season, so there was a lot of noise and chaos going on, but that is always how I remembered the Ground Round. It is NOT a restaurant that you are going to read a good book in. The fact that this restaurant also had high cathedral ceilings which increased the acoustics, made it a little more unbearable for people who like quieter spots. But to me and my friend, it was not a dealbreaker. Food: After all, what were we doing there for anyways, but the food? It was very good. She enjoyed her dish, and my burger was actually one of those "skyscraper" burgers that are impossible to grip with two hands or get into your mouth for a bite. After dining at the Ground Round again, I am moderately confident that I could take a bite out of the Prudential Center if the need arose. Don't get me wrong, the burger was tasty, juicy, and done to perfection, but it was yuuuuge.     First timer visit to Ground Round in Shrewsbury. I got to say it didn't live up to my expectations…read more It was a recent Thursday evening; I walked in at 8pm and immediately had a bad feeling. First, the place was DEAD, aside from several patrons in the bar area; about the same in the dining room. I noticed the lighting was off, way off; it's like the kind hazy fluorescent lighting that gives you a migraine. Second, the music playing was barely audible; I would expect to hear really good nostalgic music from the 70s & 80s (you know what would make this place fun??? A JUKEBOX!!!). I ordered the Ground Rounder and was disappointed; I don't like cheese and it came with cheese; I wish the server asked if I wanted cheese; I know, I know, the description on the menu says it comes with cheese; my bad BUT I don't like cheese on my burger. I wish it came on a sesame bun or bulky roll; the pretzel roll just sucks IMHO. Also, please remember the old time Ground Rounder came with Steak Fries back in the day; today, this one comes with grease-sticks -- stubby reconstituted dehydrated potatoes formed to resemble French fries which wick the grease from the Fryolator, UGH! For the burger, I prefer lettuce, tomato and onion over cheese and bacon any day of the week. The service was good, which is the only reason I gave my review 2 stars. Overall, a disappointment, but with some tweaks it might have a chance. As is, it's not going to be around very long. Please please please rectify the suggestions outlined above and I'll reconsider coming back. I'm sorry, but until then I can't recommend to my friends.
