Having moved into a house in Sun City Palm Desert in late September, we realized that the very bare back patio needed some serious attention. We met Hector in October and really liked his approach to drawing up a new look for our garden. All we had were several of the usual boxwoods, caesalpinia, and a lime tree. The new image had to be colorful so we approved the 5 yellow trumpet flower bushes because we love the hummingbirds and pollinators so much. Two additional spots would be occupied by two very generous ocotillos, always a favorite. We needed front and back faucets to be upgraded and a regular maintenance team as the spring season requires. We made a date for work to start in early December due to all of our personal commitments. The initial crew worked to rearrange the rocks in the patio area and set up the plantings. They are hard-working and knowledgeable and we appreciated the changes they made. Scheduling is easy with Hector because he responds to messages quickly and he is flexible and understands the importance of the client's needs. This past week the team arrived to prep the ground in the semi-circle of turf and to rearrange the rocks and clean up. We watched them work so hard from early morning to dusk and the results are pretty wonderful!! After finding MTS online, we compared their quote with a few other companies. When Carlos came out to meet with us, we immediately felt comfortable with his approach. He took the time to clearly explain the scope of work, and it was evident he had strong experience in this type of project. He really understood both the technical aspects and the look and design my wife had in mind, which gave us a lot of confidence moving forward. We also felt his pricing was reasonable, and he even offered some options to help us save money. The crew--Omero and his team--have been fantastic throughout the process. They've been polite, professional, and easy to communicate with. As of now, they are wrapping up the stucco and final clean-up, and everything is looking great. After an only okay experience with a previous contractor that did our paver walkway, we decided to look for someone new. So glad we found Newline Concrete & Pavers!! For our first project with them, we had them put down concrete on a good portion of the yard and it came out GREAT! Loved how the stamped design came out and have received multiple compliments on it. We also really appreciated their attention to detail when it came to grading the entire area and were thankful they suggested our AC condenser unit be elevated to ensure water wouldn't pool around it. It was something we hadn't even thought of and were glad to have brought to our attention. When we were ready to tackle the second portion of our yard, we called up Newline again! This time, we had artificial turf with concrete curbing, DG, and a concrete slab for a future shed put down. The end result is fantastic and we're quite happy with how everything turned out. Their crew for both projects always arrived on time and left the area clean after each work day. The communication was excellent throughout both projects and the crew always checked in with us if questions came up to ensure the project was coming along as we envisioned.
