Don't be fooled! What a fantastic place to grab lunch and treated kindly and warmly. The view from the dining room and bar is beautiful. You look out over the water. We called to make sure they were open for breakfast as yelp shows them opening at 8am. Their voicemail recording still says they open at 8am every day. So we got there at 9am and they were closed , and a sign there says they open at 11am. So don't rely on their voicemail recording for their current hours. Arrgh. read more

The few times have driven by there were always TONS of motorcycle outside, lots of them, so, figured this was the typical bike bar. Boy, was i surprised! We were driving south and this was the only place we encountered for many miles that looked good for lunch. Lots of cars parked and many people arriving. We both got seafood baskets, My wife got oysters and I got the seafood assortment. Both were generous and the fries were hot and delicious. Service was good but it took a while to get the food. What I like about this place is that it is comfortable for both tourists and locals. Great bar serving local brews and featured cocktails. A decent menu and daily specials. My husband ordered the clam chowder and considered it one of the best he's had on this trip to the Pacific NW. We shared the jalapeño poppers with a Hefeweizen for me and the Irish Death stout for the Hubbs while we contemplated dinner options. We ordered the fish and chips and the Hamburger special - the MeatLovers with ham and bacon. And this is where we were a bit disappointed. They batter the cod, but the pieces were small and a bit mushy and oily. The French fries were perfect! We had asked for the burger to be medium or medium-rare and our server told us that all the burgers come out the same way. Hmmm. It was definitely too cooked for us - but a nice burger if you don't mind. So, we only give 3 stars for the food, but 4+ stars for service, ambiance and a great bar. This was my first time here. We came in on a Sunday afternoon (party of 10). There were 9 other people in here at the time. Food was pretty average. Even for bar food, this was not great. Steaks were mostly fatty and hardly cooked. And at $23+, it was a massive disappointment. I will not return. Though the server (Mary) didn't seem very excited to have us. Drinks weren't refilled even once. In fact, when we sat down, the server told the chef that "we just had 10 top sit down" to which he replied "are you fu**ing kidding me?!". She told him to be quiet as we were sitting just outside the window. To be fair, that's a big order for a single chef. But, more appropriate staffing should be considered. I'll put up with places that have not the greatest food, if the service was good. But, this place didn't have either. So returning would be pointless. It would appear that this is a great place for locals. They all seemed quite familiar with each other. However, if you are an outsider (or have kids), And want to be treated kindly, I'd encourage you to look elsewhere. read more

On the plus side, this place is dog friendly and has a large back beer garden area. We found it after looking for a restaurant around Ocean Shores where we could bring our dog. The servers seemed nice, but they were very busy and seemed overworked. The food was fairly typical bar fare. We ordered a French dip, Caesar salad, and clam chowder. The clam chowder was the star of the show, but the beer battered fries were also excellent. The French dip was very dry, and below average. The Caesar salad was nothing special, but pretty good. We also ordered a side order of cheese fries and they were exactly the type of nasty bar food that tastes so good while you're eating it but fairly awful an hour or two later. read more

The food is fantastic!!!! Great menu selections for breakfast lunch and dinner. Lots room but I do hear they get busy at times. If you like shuffle board they have a full length table in the back. We had a large party coming in and they were quick to accommodate us. Our waitress was wonderful and was attentive to us. Quick to get refills and check on how the meal was. We ordered quite a bit of food and all of it was delicious with generous portions! Loved the French dip, and the fried jalapeños were incredible! Taco salad was big, filling, and awesome. Among the foggy-soggy Washington coast is a local bar grill that treats the clammers, campers and coast goers to some typical bar foods and drinks. The inside is cozy, feels local, and has all the standard bar grill add one you'd expect, multiple TVs playing "the game" and the Wi-Fi music Juke box system found nearly everywhere. Our waitress was awesome, kind and beyond accommodating. I ordered the chicken salad which was about at my expectations, it's only chicken salad. The chicken cuts were juicy and flavorful. I would say I got what I expected. My wife got the rib special and the meat had a great woody, Smokey flavor and had a well balanced amount of bbq sauce. The rest of our party, a total of seven had everything from fish fry (which was disappointing portion wise) to burgers and chicken an joes which were ok but not great according to my extended family that was there. Again our wait staff was awesome and a high point but the food collectively across our family was average at best. Likely not a place I'd rush back to but a different experience. read more

We were on a close by get away for the weekend and looking for something not typical Ocean Shores to eat. Enter Green Lantern. Apparently they have redone this place from top to bottom and it shows. It looks awesome and clean inside. It is family friendly now and there were a handful of families dining in as well as locals having a drink and some bar food. I had the broasted chicken and JoJo's. Both so good. The JoJo's are massive and perfect. I also had a double tito's and soda. The bartender did a heavy pour because it was mainly vodka. Not complaining, just stronger than I was expected. Husband had a Rueben with JoJo's which he didn't leave a bite behind so it must have been good. Service was fine. You can tell who is a local based on service, however. Check this spot out off the beaten path a bit. read more

This is a large rural Tavern with great food. My friends and I stopped in for lunch and had a great time. I had the breasted chicken and jo jos and it was fantastic. One friend had clam strips which were cooked to perfection and the other friend had a chicken sandwich. Everything was delicious and served by a friendly and fun staff. When you're starving in the middle of nature and see a glowing restaurant in the distance, you stop at it. When it turns out to be delicious, that's an even better bonus. The Green Lantern is the kicking hub for this little Washington community. There's shuffleboard and fun games happening inside with a great crowd. Spent the 4th of July holiday weekend in Pacific Beach and so glad we drove down the road a bit to the Green Lantern. We had our dog with us and they have the sweetest little beer garden (emphasis on the garden) out back. If you have a dog, you can get to the garden by going around back. If no dog, go through the restaurant. The beer garden is not full service, but you can order beers and food at the bar and then they bring it out to you. I didn't go inside, but my husband said they were very busy. Food arrived promptly and was super good! I love a good chowder and fish sandwich. The fish sandwich has awesome tartar sauce and a perfect bun. My husband ordered the Reuben and it was delicious! We also ordered a chowder and chili. The chowder was the perfect consistency and you could taste all the parts - clams, potatoes, etc. The chili could have been hotter (temp wise) but good flavor overall.
