    Broth... 8/10
    Edward J.

I struggle with giving a full 3/5 stars and decided to round down. As a 3/5, I may return. The Phô noodles would be a solid 8/10. The broth is also very good, a solid 8/10. Unfortunately, the rare beef is tougher than the soles of my shoes. I'd have to give the rare beef a 3/10. Its edible, but not enjoyable. Aside from the food, service is as expected and the place I pretty clean. Too bad they don't have tripe

Not my favourite pho place in the city, however it was good. I liked how parking was easily accessible as well and free. The prices were a bit much for a simple bowl of pho, and while it was very tasty, nothing really stood out much to me. They definitely did not cheap out on the meat in the pho though, it was a good experience but there's better places for sure in Toronto.

A great spot for pho in Scarborough. They offer your standard options for pho and you can't really go wrong with what you choose. I actually had a rice dish (the grilled chicken with rice) last time I visited and it was surprisingly filling and really delicious, so even if you're not feeling pho, I'd recommend this spot.

Driving by, we were attracted by the open patio space and the several patrons already tucking into their food. Due to the current state of the province, it was nice to find a spot to sit down for a meal even in it required full jackets, scarf and sunglasses. I immediately gravitated to a steaming hot bowl of pho to ward off the chill in the air, but they do have an extensive menu of items to choose from. As desired, my raw beef and beef tendon pho came steaming hot. The 'raw' beef was already fully cooked by the broth. I was surprised to see that the beef tendon was actually slices of tendon versus the gelatinous chunks that I am use to. Looking back, I wonder if I got beef brisket by accident . Regardless, still delicious with the fresh herbs and crunchy bean sprouts with a great broth. My partner chose the spring roll, chicken and vermicelli and really enjoyed his meal.

A very authentic Vietnamese cuisine with delicious food! All my friends and I love coming here for their variety of menu options and we never had any issues with our meals. I ordered their fresh shrimp rolls, bowl of pho with beef balls and brisket and Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk. The pho broth tasted very flavourful and the meat was nice and tender; a lovely bowl of soup that just warms the soul, especially during this winter season. The Vietnamese iced coffee was also flavourful and strong, just the way I like it! Although, it was a bit on the sweeter side compared to other Vietnamese restaurants I've been to. Service is generally very friendly and fast. However, during my last visit it was a bit slow and we had to remind them about our drink orders. It came out after our meals were almost finished.

    Pad Thai

I order the pad Thai and it's great every time, although the female staff were talking about past guests, they were laughing and talked loudly while they made fun of how they ate??? I'm pretty sure they might have been talking about me and my boyfriend, but because we both enjoyed our food I won't hate too much, anyway Here's a picture of my dog.

Not sure why the reviews are lower for this restaurant. I would say I had my best experience here (for Vietnamese food). The pricing is average and the food was enjoyable. The staff was very quick and pho came out instantly. Although the noodles were prepped super fast, it did not compromise the flavour. The portions were perfect (only one size) for me, but I could see how it may not be enough for big eaters. They have a huge menu variety that I would be excited to return and try.

The service was great and so was the food. Not the best viet food I had but definitely worth trying. Food was served pretty fast. Plenty of parking.

Worst pho ever. Couldn't finish eating the bowl. Meat was tough, broth was bland, noodles are stiff.

The menu here is broad offering a variety of items including spring rolls, Thai beef salad, pho, egg noodle soup, vermicelli (rice noodles without broth), pad Thai, fried rice, rice dishes, deep fried food, hot pot, fish and bubble tea. Pho prices range from $8.50 - $11.50. The inside is spacious with both booth seating and table seating options. I went with H4 - Thai beef stew with rice noodles $10 and the broth was good. It was slightly spicy and has pieces of tender beef. There was plenty of noodles and they were nicely done. There was plenty of parking in the parking lot. The password for the free wifi was posted on the wall, but when I connected there was no service. ....| \ _ , , , - - , , _ , .../ , ` . - ' ` ' . _ \ - ; ; ; , _ ..| , a - ) ) _ . ; . I like the fact that they had one the most refreshing and punchy spicy pho in town! Beef fresh role is must, if not, feel free to suggest me better-! Service is also above standard :) Yeah I know, if you've noticed from other reviews of mine, I'm either love or hate :p

Good bowl of chicken pho, although I believe technically only rare beef is 'real' pho... Anyhow, it's a good bowl of chicken noodle soup. The interior is the most challenging part, poorly laid out. The air conditioning either not working or off.

La Sen has a beautiful interior and decent amount of seating for its smallish space. Service was good - things came quickly and they seem to have quite a few unique items on the menu. Beef salad - really refreshing and flavorful salad. Had a bit of spicy kick on the beef which was really nice with the other fresh vegetables. Wine braised pho hotpot - I really enjoyed this hotpot - even more so than their typical pho. You can get unlimited soup refills too which is great. Broth is light yet flavorful. Pho - decided to try their "regular " pho which has a bit more herbal notes than their hotpot. It's not bad but I could see some of the herbal/spice undertones being off putting to some. Stret style platter - lots of good, great variety, very fresh. Loved this dish - getting to make your own customized roll is worth it. Durian crema coffee - an interesting that I've never seen. It's line a typical coffe but a large and thick layer of durian foam layer on top of the coffee. Price: A bit higher than other pho places but well worth trying

A couple of Wednesdays ago, after work, I had an early dinner at this Pho Anh Vu on Highway 7 in Vaughan, between Keele and Jane streets. I have passed by this eatery a number of times since it opened. It was time to check it out. This location used to be Veg Italiano. There used to be a pho place a few doors down. It is now a Turkish eatery. This small plaza does have some turnover. However, the Turkish place and this eatery have been here for at least a couple of years. I hope they remain. I got here at around 3:30 pm. I had no problem finding a parking spot. I backed into a vacant one and walked in. I was immediately greeted by a male staffer. I got to sit wherever I wanted. I chose a booth by the window. I got menus to peruse. There were two other tables with customers. It was nice. Hot tea came to me with two cups. The hot tea was exceptionally piping hot. I used both cups to pour tea into them and let them cool. I was ready to order. It took a long time to get a server to come over. The woman at the counter noticed that I was ready and flagged the male server to take my order. I got these items: - Soda lemonade - Grilled chicken on vermicelli with spring rolls My soda lemonade came first. It was fizzy, cold, and refreshing. I loved it so much. I would get it again in a heartbeat. It also helped me down my food as I waited for my hot tea to cool down. When my tea was finally at a temperature that wouldn't scorch my tongue, it was fragrant and yummy. I loved the grilled chicken. It was flavourful and grilled to perfection. The vermicelli was generous and yummy. The spring rolls were stuffed and crispy. This dish came with dipping sauce that I ended up pouring on everything. I feel that I needed more of it. I paid at the counter with a debit card. I tapped and was good. This eatery got busy after 4 pm. My guess is that everyone came to watch the Canada-Switzerland FIFA game. It got tense in the place. Eventually, Canada lost this game. I used the washroom before I left. It was beautiful and clean. It's a decent location that serves good food. The tea was too hot. Service started off slow, but was a lot better once my order was place. I'd love to return to try more items off the menu. (280)

We walked in and were greeted by a friendly few staff members who showed us to our table. The decor inside was modern, it was clean and the ambiance was great. As soon as we sat down we were brought hot drinks of our choice to warm us up. It took a while before we settled on our meal choices after much discussion. We have some vegetarians and some non-vegetarians in our family so it was nice to see that vegetarians could be accommodated here. All of the meals turned out to be very tasty from our appetizers to our mains. Spring Rolls** were crispy, tasty and served with a sweet-spicy sauce. These were the outstanding showstoppers of the entire meal or at least a few of us agreed that they were our favourite choice. Vegetarian Cold Rolls (small) were crunchy, refreshing and served with a peanut sauce with roasted peanuts on top. I was told that my homemade version of vegetarian cold rolls was even better than the restaurant version since I include more tofu but this restaurant version came in a close second place. Stir-fried Vegetables with Tofu and Steamed Rice was very super flavourful, as was the veggie soup broth. The main vegetarian dish had a bit of kick to it, lots of black pepper, and a tangy spicy taste which was almost too spicy for one family member's simple palate. Nothing a bowl full of rice couldn't fix. What would make it a 5 star rating would be if they had included a bit more tofu, otherwise it was a very good dish. Grilled Pork Chop with Rice was wonderfully delicious. The veggies made the dish eye catching. The flavour packed broth was delightful. It was served with a drizzle of oil of green onions which when combined with freshly steamed rice make the perfect trifecta. Stir-Fry Rice Noodles with Seafood (which had squid, fish balls, shrimp and possibly scallops) was very well received by one hungry man. He didn't mind that the vegetarians had more veggies on their plates than him. Stir-Fry Rice Noodles* with Vegetables had a great colourful presentation and tasted very good, according to another. Once again their only other comment about the dish was that they wished there was more tofu in it. What would make it a 5 star rating would be if they had included a bit more tofu, otherwise it was also a good dish. The staff were more than accommodating to the requests of grandparents who needed to relocate tables to stay warm during this cold winter season. My family very much appreciated our visit to this restaurant. Fantastic hospitality. Great service and friendly personable staff.

We ordered their most popular beef rib pho. In terms of meat, I don't know if we got the scraps, but we had a huge additional bowl with a bone of tendon. I love tendon. While the meat on the ribs are a bit more skimp than other places I've had maybe because it's whatever they have left. But I didn't mind since they added ample amount of tendon! You either love it or hate it, but I love tendon and we ordered this specifically because they mentioned they will add a bone of tendon. Not sure if it's in all bowls or just what they had left. It was certainly worth the money with the offer. While we picked and cut away all the tender tendon pieces, there are some connective tendon pieces that are still bit stiff, I mean I try to pressure cook it bit more later along with my ingredients when I got home to get the adjoining tendons between the bones and made another collagen rich soup / broth. We also ordered a broken rice dish with chicken and it was good too. We had a lot of leftovers and the next day the soup broth did thicken up indicating a good amount of bone broth. Overall service was great and they even had the FIFA game playing on the screen. Definitely a spot we'll add to our rotation.
