This place is very solid and we are excited to go back and try their other foods! We stopped in on a Saturday about 1115am and the place was already getting busy! So you can tell that this place is very popular. We were seated and offered menus and opted for their lunch special which was a great value. I got two sushi's and a soup for 13 dollars and my boyfriend got 3 sushi rolls for 17 dollars. The miso soup was yummy and the sushi was VERY fresh. I panicked and got the Vega Roll which had mango in it and wasn't my favorite but the shrimp tempura roll was very good and they were nice size pieces too. Our server wasn't super friendly but I don't think English was her first language and that's okay she was very attentive and quick! The ambiance as well was more upscale than I thought with good colors and a bar in the corner. There was different seating types through out. We are looking forward to going back

I love this place and tell everyone about it!!! It's a great place for a birthday celebration a date night a girls night or even just you wanna bring a family member to a new spot! We have been here four times within the last two months it is that good! The service is amazing! The ambience is phenomenal. They have little robots bringing your food. There are lights on the ceiling. It feels very upscale, but it doesn't feel too stuffy and you just feel lots of good energy. The food is phenomenal for the price point. I took my entire family of six entrées drink drinks under $200. That is a steal! The bar you can sit at an order as well which I like there's also a sushi bar that you could do the same if you cannot get seats, I cannot wait to go back lol

Bomb clear soup and delicious, crunchy wings. I wasn't feeling well this week so I've been eating soup by the bucket I was glad I added this Clear soup to the rotation. I called to inquire about what allergens may have been used in the food and the gentleman on the phone was able to confirm the recipes for me. Thank you ! (the wings are marinated in curry without the use of nuts) Can't wait to try this food again.

Every time we've been here, this restaurant is always vibrant, lively, and inviting! Service is extremely quick, so if you're starving, this is definitely an option for speedy food. My husband loves the pineapple fried rice. On the other hand, I try something different every time! Each dish was freshly prepared and very tasty. I did think the avocado salad was over dressed with the dressing. But with it's fresh ingredients and attractive presentation, I was easily able to overcome that. The robot that serves the food keeps things interesting. The music has been smooth jazz, which I don't mind at all. There's a well-equipped bar and a sushi bar. There is a lot of variety on the menu, including appetizers, desserts, chef's specials, and more. There's something for everyone. Parking is spacious and prices are reasonable!

We've heard a lot of great things about Green Papaya so we decided to have our wedding anniversary dinner here. It was Monday so not very busy when we arrived, we were greeted and seated promptly. They have one of those Scorpion Bowl drinks for two for like $25 which I would have normally purchased but it was a school night so I just ordered a Yuengling. Draft beers are more expensive than bottled, $5.50 for a bottled Yuengling is a great deal. The restaurant is very beautiful and the dining room was kept immaculate; alternatively, the restroom was not very clean. They could have done a better job with the restroom, especially since business was slow and they had plenty of staff on duty. We ordered the Love Boat for two ($60). It came with two specialty rolls (8 pieces each), 15 pieces of sashimi, and 8 pieces of Nigiri. Everything was delicious and fresh. For dessert we ordered one Peanut Butter Explosion to share ($8). The dessert was good (generic) but it should have come with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Service was hit and miss. Our primary server didn't have much of a personality but she got the job done. There were two other ladies that helped and refilled glasses and a manager that stopped by to see if we were happy with everything so that was great. Overall, I had a good experience and thought the sushi was on point. I would return for the sushi again but maybe go somewhere else for dessert. If I had to choose between Green Papaya and Bayridge I would most likely choose Bayridge because we've just had better overall experiences there.

Such a delicious dining experience! We dined in last night for my friend's birthday. I ordered the miso soup, yellowtail jalapeño, and the chicken lettuce wraps. I was very intrigued and surprised to see fruity pebbles being used as a garnish on most of the plate plates. It was a garnish on the yellowtail as well as the edamame that my friends ordered. I thought that this was really random, but fun and cute and never been done before. The miso soup was great, but it definitely could've come out a little bit hotter. The yellowtail was very fresh and flavorful. The chicken lettuce wraps were small, but that was a given because it was listed under appetizers. The combination of food that I got was the perfect amount for a meal for myself. The restaurant had these robots that brought out the food and the server would grab from the robot and serve it to us. It was very of funny to see. We also mentioned to our server that it was our friend's birthday and they brought out a huge birthday sign and served her a plate of whipped cream and pocky. This was very sweet of them and I can't wait to go back and try other menu items very soon! I had no issues with parking and found a spot immediately when coming into the lot. The interior of the restaurant seems very new and looks very fancy and wel kept.

I've visited Green Papaya a few times now since opening and their sushi has remained consistent and my recommendation for folks. I've tried the panang curry, red curry, amazing curry, and pad thai, to name a few. My favorite appetizer is their green beans! My last visit wasn't as impressive as the times before, but I will assume it is due to the busyness of the restaurant that day. Will visit again since there's more to try. Service was good and restaurant is always clean. They do a great job with presentation for their dishes as well.

We were excited to try this newer restaurant after hearing for great things. The interior got a huge overhaul and looks really great. Lots of hard surfaces, though, so it is a bit loud when the tables fill in. They have a full bar and a nice variety of beers. I ordered a Philly role to start and it was great. The filling in the pieces were large and not fishy at all like some sushi places. For my meal, I ordered the pad see ew with chicken. They offered a spice level from 1-5. I went with 2 and there was a noticeable tingly, numbing spice. Not really spicy tasting though. Next time I'll try 3. After a touch of soy sauce, the flavor was just what I was hoping for. The veggies in the dish looked fresh and the noodles were cooked nicely. I liked that the peanuts were served on the side because I didn't really want them in the dish anyway. Service was good, though felt a little rushed. Our table got appetizers and a few minutes later our main course arrived. They use a shelving robot to move the food around from the kitchen to the tables. This visit, it had an image of a tuxedo on its "body" which was cute. The prices are no different from other Thai restaurants in the area. Everything was fresh and made as expected. We will definitely come back.

Had a great time at Green Papaya. The ambiance is modern and inviting, for both casual dining and a relaxed night out. Service was friendly and attentive for the most part. Staff was welcoming and helpful, and patient with food alterations we requested. We tried Veg Spring Rolls, Pad Thai with tofu, Veg friend rice, Vegetable sushi and Papaya salad. The dishes had a nice balance of spice and seasoning. Will definitely be back to try other vegetarian options .

Came here for our Anniversary dinner. I had heard all kinds of good reviews but our evening was just a little Blah. The servers were friendly but didn't seem to know what was going on with the food. We would ask them questions and they would be like I'm not sure. I asked if soy was in the eel sauce she told me no but then when I looked it up on Google it said yes I'm allergic to soy sauce. Anyway we got the Love boat for two It was good. Then we got the peanut butter explosion which was good. But the presentation was disappointing and it should have had a scoop of ice cream to go with it. Overall the experience was just normal nothing stood out. We usually go to Bayridge sushi which I think I like better. We wanted to try this place. The little robot was cool. Nice decor.

Wonderful experience once inside, terrible experience trying to get inside. The parking lot is WAY too small for the amount of business this restaurant has. I circled for at least ten minutes looking for a spot. The parking lot was full and there were at least 6-7 cars circling the parking lot all looking for a spot. The neighborhood behind it is not the nicest and I witnessed a man come out of his house to yell at someone trying to park in front of his house. Everyone in our party had to park off site and walk a block or two which i'm sure is causing issues with other businesses. Once inside we had a great experience. The inside is decorated beautifully, it's crazy to think it used to be a Panera! They do not take reservations unless it's a large party so we put our name down and were told it would be about an hour wait. We migrated to the bar where we ordered some drinks to pass the time. Drinks are very reasonable, their standard drink menu is $12-13 for most drinks which is spectacular these days. Their seasonal menu is about $16. The lavender sour was beautifully presented and delicious! Our table was ready much sooner than anticipated (I think we only waited 20ish minutes) and we were sat at a booth by the kitchen. The menu is big, with sushi, hot and cold apps, curry, noodle dishes, etc. There is truly something for everyone on this menu. They also have gluten free options. We ordered three appetizers (calamari, shrimp shumai and I can't remember the third), the calamari came out very quickly and then our other two never made it to the table. Our entrees came out like a minute after we asked about our other apps and by that time it wasn't worth it to get the appetizers so we asked to just have them taken off our bill. Not sure what happened there. Our server kind of went MIA as well, we didn't see her much throughout our meal. All of our entrees were plated beautifully and everything tasted great. Portions were good and the prices were very fair. Since we were seated by the kitchen we got to see a lot of dishes as they came out and everything looked so good! The presentation kept surprising me, every dish was prettier than the last. Overall we had a great experience and I absolutely want to return. 4 stars for the terrible parking lot and for them losing our appetizers. Still a great spot to check out!

Another great meal at GP. Started with two ginger salads and seaweed salad. Very tasty. We also enjoyed the vegetarian spring rolls. Our rolls were the spicy salmon, eel and avocado and the lava roll. All very good as usual. Great service. Smartly decorated. A must try. Photo below

But it's there, overlooking the lake, waiting to offer you delicious sushi. The staff are always very nice, helpful, and patient as you look through the menu. With a huge selection of fish and veggie combinations, the menu has something for everyone. (I'm sorry I don't have a menu picture for reference!) The ingredients are always fresh and the rolls are made in house, to order. I have never had a bad roll - or a bad meal. While the seating can be cramped with a full house, the views make up for that easily. If you manage to get a seat in the back, you can look out over the lake (which absolutely has gators because I saw one on my last afternoon visit.) There are booths, tables, and a large sushi bar - again, something for everyone! I highly recommend checking this spot out if you are a sushi lover like me. For food we started with chips and salsa. Give me chips in a flowerpot and suddenly I am fancy. Then we ordered the Tostones and Plantain Roll with Salmon. Just a heads up, do not order any additional meat or seafood with the Tostones. This dish is fabulous on it's own. The Plantain Roll was an unexpected combination that my tastebuds thoroughly enjoyed. It was definitely not your typical sushi roll. We sat at the bar and our bartender took great care of us. Between the environment, creative menu and friendly service, this was definitely a fun experience. I would suggest you come hungry, but make sure your phone is charged because at this spot, the camera most certainly eats first.

Having been on a handful of occasions, each visit, I am left quite satisfied and happy with not only the service provided, but just the general quality of the food. It is infused with cultural decor that leaves you feeling like you have been transported to Japan! So, kudos to the designers!! Now, prior to diving into the food and drinks, I just quickly want to note, there is ample seating indoors. Even with the exterior being so unassuming, it is a quite spacious restaurant. They have banquet seating as well as booth seating. But I digress. Time for the FOOD REVIEW!! Now, the food here, or rather, the sushi, is just DELISH!! I will admit, I haven't tried other dishes from their menu beyond their sushi. Speaking of, the MENU here is MASSIVE! If you don't want sushi, you can definitely order other entrees as they offer bento boxes, bowls, and various other dishes. The price points are great and they also have lunch specials. As for the sushi options I typically indulge in, I stick with the tempura shrimp options. Sometimes I do their speciality rolls and other times I will indulge in their staple rolls. Even though I don't eat a ton of raw sushi (still training my palette for it), I have enjoyed the few raw sushi rolls I have tried. The drinks are also super tasty! My first visit, many months ago, I got their Thai Tea. I also got a matcha!! Both were lovely!! They have a really good non-alcoholic and alcoholic drink menu. Again, the pricing is reasonable pending what you order. The desserts here are BEYOND GOOD! On my most recent visit, I tried their green tea tiramisu and it was really good. Not too sweet and not too earthy (even though I am not opposed to earthy). All in all, I always have a top notch experience here! The staff are great and attentive. There's a decent amount of parking and wait times are usually not super long - even during their peak hours. If you have visited this restaurant, please do!

Only like 3 diners were there when we arrived (it was mid afternoon), so lots of open seating. We were able to sit at the bar. Greeted right way. Will say they have a very extensive menu. Decent selection of sushi & other types of dishes. Our server was pleasant. We started with their daily deal which was Crispy Tuna and edamame as well. Came out pretty quickly after we ordered. The Crispy Tuna was served not as we expected. It was more rice cakes (pancake style shape if you will) not what we are accustomed to which generally is a Square Musubi Press. They were good, but would have preferred them the way we generally order it. Edamame was tasty, but hard to mess that up. Rolls: they are pretty small to be honest and squeezed so tightly (with not enough of outer rice) they sat up high and didn't take on the plump desirable shape. When a sushi roll (maki) is rolled and pressed incorrectly with a bamboo mat, the cylindrical shape gets squished and inevitably turns into a aesthetic effect that looks off, which in my opinion shows here. Plus, very thinly sliced rolls. 4 rolls we ordered: Naruto Roll, it was refreshing & liked the cucumber in place of the seaweed wrap. Beauty & Beast Roll, came together well with the black tobiko & masago. Waterfall Roll was good, but would have liked some more heat (heaver on the jalapeños) and finally the Black Pearl Roll which was decent with the black tobiko on top! Throughout of dining experience the sushi chefs were preparing other dishes on the menu to fill orders, but also pleasant & engaging as we watched them make our orders and those others too. Leo and Micah were friendly, not so much the only female employee. She gave off some negative vibes. Never said a word to us & acted like we were not even there! Believe her role may have been in the kitchen, but she was out on the floor (for most of our time there) talking to Leo primarily. Kitchen cleanliness is key and by looking thru the open space (to the backs of sushi chefs) she really needed to focus more of her attention there instead of projecting conversations out front to the busy staff. Meaning that sanitation and environmental hygiene is a mandatory practice that needs constant attention & customers may observe or question those things when not tending to the task. I'm addressing this in the most important and nicest way possible! Everything we ordered was fresh and tasty. Not the best sushi restaurant we've been to, but definitely sufficed for our craving. Ended our meal with their fried ice cream which was delicious. Note- Do not believe they have any happy hour specials. No Kizami Wasabi available here. They feature a few lower costs options for lunch. Additionally, they have hibachi, teriyaki and ramen also!
