My experience at Bayridge tends to fluctuate between 3 and 5 stars. This specific visit on a Friday evening was 5 stars. Service started slow. We sat for about 15 minutes before being helped. A waiter came to our table and mentioned it wasn't his section and that our waitress was late. He ended up providing service and he was excellent throughout our entire meal. We ordered krab Rangoon's , which came out hot and fresh. For sushi, we ordered five rolls from the happy hour menu, all of which were delicious. This place was an absolute home run! My nephew and niece declared, "This is where we're having sushi," and thankfully they chose very wisely. Bayridge Sushi did not disappoint. Now, my sister doesn't quite share the same adventurous palate as the three of us, but I think she had just as much fun watching us demolish roll after roll like seasoned sushi warriors. Service was fantastic from start to finish. Our server took great care of us all evening, and while I sadly didn't catch her name, she absolutely nailed it. I made a valiant attempt to convert my niece and nephew to the glory of Ikura (salmon roe)... but it turns out there is a line in the sushi sand. Tiny orange flavor bombs that pop in your mouth? Apparently that's where they draw the boundary. More for me, I guess. The menu is impressively inclusive, and after flipping through several pages of tempting options, I can confidently say this is now a must-stop every time I visit. And the cherry on top? My wonderful niece insisted on paying for dinner. Totally unnecessary, but incredibly thoughtful and touching. Watching her extend that kindness to her visiting uncle made the night even more special. Loved Bayridge! They have two locations but I went to the one in Longwood, there is also one by Disney. The interior is beautiful and has such a cool vibe/ambiance. Large space with so many tables and booths and a big bar! They also have a huge list of fun and unique sushi rolls to choose from. I came back again for the happy hour even though I said I wouldn't. IT IS SO MUCH BETTER THIS TIME. VISUALLY AND WITH THE ACTUAL ROLLS. My friend and I grabbed seats at the bar and decided to try their sushi. We went with the Lion King and King of the Ocean rolls, and both were absolutely phenomenal. I also ordered a new drink from their menu called the Guava Sidecar, and it was hands-down one of the best sidecars I've ever had. My family and I came through here during a holiday and it was surprisingly not busy! The staff were very friendly and welcoming upon reaching the host table. There was plenty of seating and our table/booth was kept clean. We thought it was odd that they didn't have a soy sauce holder if you wanted extra for your sushi. Other than that, the dishes were beautifully presented and generous in portion, making it a great value for how much you'd be paying. The sashimi and maki rolls were fresh and held together well. One of us ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen and it tasted average (a little extra salty on some bites) for how much it cost ($17ish) but perhaps this pricing is consistent to the Orlando area. We have had some excellent experiences at Bayridge Sushi recently! My family and I have eaten here on a few Saturday nights and been seated quickly after arriving. We arrived before 6pm and were just in time for happy hour which had some great specials on drinks, apps, and sushi. Love the variety of food here, from sushi to hibachi. The appetizers are very good too, especially the gyoza and calamari. Service has been friendly and fast on our visits too! We came here for my husband's birthday. We came on a Wednesday evening. It was not real busy so we got right in. The place is big and has beautiful decor. A huge 10 ft Buddha greets you as you first walk in. We got the sushi combination platter. All the food was really good. The platter came with a soup and salad. Our waiter was really nice but a little forgetful. He forgot to bring us our seaweed salad and our sauces to go with the sushi. I asked if they did anything for birthdays and they said yes that we get a free dessert but we ended up having to pay $7 for it. Not sure what was up with that. I wanted to try something different this year for my birthday dinner; I was craving sushi, but couldn't decide on which restaurant. After looking through a multitude of Yelp reviews I decided on Bayridge Sushi based on their positive reviews, menu offerings, location, and overall beauty of the restaurant. We were heading to Bayridge around 6pm on Wednesday. I called to book a reservation for two and the hostess explained there was no wait, so no need for a reservation. When Nancy and I arrived, we were greeted promptly and seated at one of the booths near the center of the restaurant. Originally, I thought Bayridge was much more expensive than two of the other restaurant options on my list; however, when we arrived and looked the menu, I noticed some of the pricing was lower than what I was finding online so kudos to Bayridge for being competitive in their market. We started our experience with the Scorpion Lovers Bowl ($19). This is a concoction of Bacardi Superior Rum, Gin, Amaretto, Apricot Brandy, Myers Rum, OJ, Pineapple Juice, and Grenadine. The drink is large enough for two to share and when delivered comes with a flaming shot in the center; a great way to start the party. There are also cocktail swords with orange slices and maraschino cherries floating around in the mix. Funny my dad always used to give these little swords to me when I was a kid and I would incorporate them into my GI Joe battles, good times. For dinner, my original plan was to order one of those huge sushi boats, because this was a special day; however, I realized we could maximize our dollar and quantity received by ordering two sushi/sashimi combo plates instead. We decided on the Sushi & Sashimi Combo ($31.95) which comes with a choice of soup and a small salad with ginger dressing. We also ordered a bowl of seaweed salad ($5.95) to share, that we requested to delivered the same time as our meal. Our soup and salads arrived quickly. Nancy chose the onion soup, which also has mushrooms in it, and I chose the Miso. Both soups were excellent, but I have to say the onion with mushroom was the winner for us. The salads were also delicious and were served a little heavy on the ginger dressing, which I am ok with because in my opinion most sushi restaurants never provide enough. Our main course took about 20 minutes to prepare and was served on these huge decorative plates; absolutely lovely! All of the fish was exceptional. No weird smells or anything questionable. You can tell this was the good stuff. The combo comes with the 15 pieces of the chef's choice of sashimi, 7 pieces of sushi, & and a spicy tuna roll (8 pieces). I was completely satisfied with my meal, everything was delicious! Nancy on the other hand is not a huge raw fish fan, so I am sure her review will differ. After seeing the huge specialty rolls other guests ordered I knew she would have rather have ordered two of those, sorry honey! We finished our meal with fried cheesecake and ice cream ($7.95), which was delicious and plenty enough for Nancy and I to share. The staff were wonderful, as they all sang happy birthday to me, which really made this experience special. Our server, Aaron, was friendly, upbeat, attentive, yet forgetful at times. I have to give him credit for trying hard to make my birthday meal special, but he dropped the ball at bringing out the seaweed salad, and our condiments nearly 10-min after our main course was dropped off. We were quite hungry and were disappointed that the most important items to compliment our meal were delivered so late. The restaurant is gorgeous and you can definitely plan a romantic date night here. Everything was clean, and organized. Even if you do not have to use the restroom, be sure to stop in just to wash up because the black ceramic toilets, urinals, contrasted against the grey and white tile is a site to be seen. Very cool! All-in-all Bayridge Sushi was an excellent choice for my birthday this year and I look forward to returning to try some of their other offerings soon. read more

I haven't been back here in some time and figured we were overdue for some sushi. The updates they've made to the interior have really spruced the place up. The atmospheres is a bit more modern casual and there are tons of tables and they even have a private room in the back you can reserve. They also added several new menu items this last week that looked incredible. The spicy garlic edamame was so good, I could've ordered another. We also ordered several rolls and I'd have to say the Mexican Roll and Crispy Seaweed were the best. The happy hour from 3-6 is totally worth it. I have ordered a variety of items from the menu and I certainly believe this to be the best sushi restaurant in the area. It is very generously priced during its very long happy hour, and a lot of the rolls are very creative. A very good virtue to commend Bayridge for, is that they figured out the importance of presentation. There are certain items (and I say certain because the portions tend to be very good) on the menu that don't contain much food quantity, but variety. These items often come in plates that present the food very well, and keeping the different items separated elegantly, which dignifies the importance of variety over quantity on those items.
