I really want to like this place. It's convenient, reasonably priced, and has good hours. The vibe is just so odd. IF you are greeted at the register, it always comes with a side of irritation at having the audacity to interrupt a conversation the barista was having (often with their back fully turned to the door.) Depending on the day, if the service doesn't drive you away, the music volume will. Listen, I love my music but when you cannot get your order across because the blues are taking over...the food isn't bad at all. Coffee is mid, but drinkable. The inside was decorated nicely, it's nestled in the neighborhood and parking is available on either side of the street. However, it is on the pricier side. Smoothie was about $8 , it was watery& also tasted just like red wine? It's as if the fruit had gone bad, ut had a sour taste to it. I got the "Belaire" for reference. For the price i'd say the smoothie is definitely not worth it. Definitely try something else if you're planning on coming here. In terms of my experience and the service, the cashier was a bit rude, he had looked me up and down, did not greet me as he did the other customers, and once i placed my order & it was complete- he did not call out my name, order number, nothing of the sort. just placed my watery smoothie on the counter and walked away. The shop at Roslindale. Hunter and William are awesome. I don't know the girl that works weekends, but she is very very very rude , she's ignorant, unprofessional and talks and acts like a thug. I, got assaulted in your shop and tried to report it to her and how i can reach the owner. I, asked several times without a response. Then, before I left I mentioned it to her again, and she said, " I, really don't care today is my last day". So, I responded back and we had words. She, then swept all the garbage and dirt on my sneakers and pants while she was cleaning. I, was there today, Sunday and she started with me again in front of all the customers causing a big scene. She refused to serve me ,but another customer jumped in and bought me my coffee .This worker told me her last day was that day of the situation and wouln't help because it was her last day and did't care., she stated. Obviously, this employee has no compassion , empathy and does not care about the customers getting assaulted in the establishment where she is employed!! I, hope she has no kids. For, this thug lady not to care about something that important she is pure EVIL. Fire her. Found it on Yelp on a trip to the city. The homemade 20 oz chai is fabulous, and not made from a prefab mix. Ordered a large cinnamon scone too which is super delicious and chewy. Wonderful vibe, working internet, cozy atmosphere with a (gas) fireplace, and the barista was very friendly. Highly recommended and I hope to come back again soon! read more

This is a very convenient coffee shop. The food is good and most of the staff are pleasant. The reason I stopped going is because, every time I went in, every single surface was dirty and sticky. With such a small, unassuming kitchen you'd never expect how amazing the food is. My personal favorites are the Eldora for breakfast and the spicy chicken melt. The pastries are always great as well and vary depending on the day. There are lots of flavors for coffees and it's usually great. This is one of my go to spots for Breakfast food and coffee. I always get their caramel iced latte and it is delicious every time. They also don't skimp out on the amount of coffee which is such a plus. The kind female staff that made my coffee felt it to the top and has the perfect proportion of ice and coffee and milk. I know it sounds weird but I feel like it definitely makes a big difference. Also get the western omelette on an onion bagel, the chef makes it very delicious and you definitely can't go wrong with that! It's hard for me to not give green T five stars, because I really love their food, but there are a couple things about the service and ambience that lead me to take a star off. I'll start off with the food, which has always been delicious. Over multiple visits, we've tried their coffee drinks, smoothies, egg, sandwiches, pastries, and a burrito. The coffee is good, smoothies, and breakfast breakfast sandwiches are delicious. Their pastries aren't the best I've ever had, but I would happily eat one again. I really appreciate the variety in their breakfast sandwiches, and their multiple vegetarian options. The price also seems pretty reasonable for what you get. The challenge, though, is that they often seemed understaffed, which leads to errors and backups in the ordering process. The last two times I've been there's been something wrong with my order (e.g. something was omitted, or was made wrong). it also feels like the whole place could use a good wipe down. The tables and floors have a lot of crumbs and spills. None of this will stop me from going back, but just something to note for the future! read more

I've been coming to Green T for years and the setting/decor is great (nice spot to work, good music), and the food and coffee are amazing. I used to love it. It gets 3 stars because I've noticed over the last year or so that several staff members need serious customer service training. Some folks have been really great over time but a couple of women who work up front are outwardly rude - I'm talking: eyes rolling, laughing at customers with their coworkers when they think people can't see them, accusatory ("you didn't SAY you wanted milk in that Americano"), and generally no greetings, thanks or courteous demeanor to people who are spending money in their establishment. Almost like you're bothering them by being there. I waited tables and worked in hospitality for years so this isn't a Karen-type of review. I truly hope the owners/management see this and work with the employees to improve the overall experience for the local customers. Call me crazy, but a place like this should be putting out a friendly and warm vibe. I used to think it was an awesome spot to walk to and frequent, now I try to avoid it. read more

Vanilla Rose Tea Latte- Rose tea, vanilla syrup and steamed milk is such a heavenly combination. This absolutely blew every tea latte I've ever had out of the water. The Cucumber Special- Sliced cucumbers, hard-boiled eggs with cream cheese and scallions on a garlic bagel, hello! Can you say refreshingly delicious? Plus, there are so many health benefits from eating cucumbers and they don't skimp. Overall Service: Consistently greeted with a smile along with a friendly "good morning" every time I've stopped by recently. Just had the worst experience here...and I come here a lot. I placed my order 20 min prior to my arrival so I didn't have to waste my lunch break . I get there, the couple in front of me pays and I pay. My sandwich isn't ready so I wait 15 min and ask the cashier. He said he's just finishing up then 5 min later gives the couple their order and not mine. He doesn't check with the kitchen when I ask how much longer and says "a bit . How long does it take to figure out how to make a breakfast sandwich with no other customers there. I don't mind waiting but if I called ahead before and I still have to wait and it's still not ready and the staff doesn't communicate ???? Makes no sense . I passed by this place for years and never went in. I ordered Chinese food down the street and popped in and loved it. I ordered two types of iced tea and they were really inspired. Great attention to detail, like adding mint leaves to one of them. The woman who waited on me was very busy and the only one there and her customer service was wonderful. I went a second time and ordered the same two iced teas. Different employee but same nice service. The only qualm I have is that, in ordering the same items, I was charged more the second time. Went here for first time this morning. Felt greeted right from the street because of the way the windows open onto the street corner almost saying "please come in". Next greeting was the smiles on the faces of the staff. There are a few seats if you want to stay a while. The atmosphere feels like a petite Starbucks with all the machines that have fancy ways to make a coffee or cappuccino, but it also had its own local look and feel. With dark wood and a historical aura it seemed to belong in an old Boston neighborhood. It's a convenient location for many commuters and it was very easy to find on street parking. I ordered a crumb cake that must be made with one stick of butter per square. I don't even want to know the calorie count but it melted in my mouth. I'll be back for sure! read more

The coffee/tea was good here. Staff were not very friendly and cook seemed a bit aggravated. It was disorganized getting the orders even though it was busy. My fiancé and I ordered "the Popeye" and only one of the wraps was correct. The other was full of onion and Siracha on a white wrap. After she ate it she told the barista that her wrap was wrong but she still wanted to buy the Popeye. They did apologize for the inconvenience. She took her wrap to work and when she ate it, it was again, wrong. Spinach wrap with a ton of onion and no spinach or cheese. 20 dollars for 2 wrong orders. We won't be back. read more
