Getting dinner Turkey & Brie Sandwich
    Pam S.

Great little neighborhood market! Excellent sandwiches and customer service. Fresh vegetables and fruits, good selection of grocery staples. The staff on the evening I went was friendly and I was happy to see a varied selection of Coffee (including George Howell Terrier). They have an area to enjoy your sandwiches facing the street, high counters as well as table tops very comfortable and cozy. Street parking can be challenging... or at least it was when I went and I appreciate the fact they were open later. Respectfully Reviewed.

I can't believe this place is still open. The sandwiches are laughably low quality. You want the worst sandwich in Boston? I've got you covered. Order a #5 and you can expect one *tiny* piece of rancid basil on a sandwich where basil is the whole selling point behind this $15 dollar sandwich. I have decided to boycott this place until they lower their prices or increase their quality. They've been this bad for at least 8 years now.

This place is great! Has a nice little market with a bakery and coffee shop inside as well! The coffee is great, the service was very friendly and I'm already looking forward to coming back and grabbing a coffee on the weekends to come!

I used to come here, many years ago, before moving to JP with a friend. She never minded waiting 20 minutes for a mediocre sandwich but I did. But I'm always willing to try again. I only came here today because Fiores doesn't open until 10. It wasn't even busy and the woman taking my order probably doesn't like working with customers. I'll never understand why people who don't like to show a modicum of enthusiasm for customers, work in jobs working with customers. Bare minimum effort on her part. My experience today was hardly different from my experience five or six years ago. Is this the same crew? Or is this a whole new fresh crowd of people who don't want to work here? I must give the owner operator props for consistently finding people who clearly do not give a ****, spanning across generations. Prices for groceries are outrageous. Food was fine. Nothing memorable. Fiores is the place for vegan sandwiches in all of Boston, the end.

Don't order the salmon sandwich on a baguette...apparently.

This place used to be great but after not being in JP for 5 years it has really gone down hill. My partner and I ordered sandwiches today- I had the smoked turkey and he had the salmon sandwich on baguette. My sandwich had a small hair in it and some of the lettuce was browned. His sandwich came out as the very end of the baguette and when he complained they said the reason was that he didn't order it on a bagel and that's the way it came out. When we came by last week, the sandwich was two times larger, so I'm not sure what that's about...the grocery store is also way over priced. Disappointing- this place used to be awesome.

It was so good I completely forgot to take pictures, and if you know me, that says a lot! It had the perfect amount of steak, the extra cheese I asked for, and it was seasoned perfectly. To top it off, I called about 23 minutes before closing, and they had no problem taking my order. Great customer service, and I'll definitely be back this week for another steak and cheese.

Last week, we decided to order a whole pie online. I tracked the order and was amazed that the driver was on his way within 20 minutes of receiving the order. We asked ourselves, How is this possible? Unfortunately, the pizza arrived cold. That's how it was possible for the driver to arrive so quickly. Clearly, they sent us a pre-made pizza. Lesson learned: DON'T ORDER CLOSE TO CLOSING TIME. They probably were dying to end their shift so they sent us a cold pie. DISAPPOINTED. The pizza is good but if I return, it will be for a slice, only! I'll keep looking for the right place to order delivery from.

The complex that Ula is in is super cute, there is typically plenty of parking. It's also right on the orange line, so there is easy access. Ample indoor and outdoor seating made getting a table a breeze. We ordered an iced coffee, iced latte, vegan burrito, and an Amort St sandwich. The Amory was really yummy, my partner enjoyed it. The coffees were pretty run-of-the-mill, nothing to write home about. The flavor in the latte was pretty weak. I added caramel to it as well, but it just tasted like milk; it's nice if the espresso taste or caramel flavor shines through, but it didn't deliver here. Fiore's and Third Cliff are still my go-to's for a good latte. While we waited for the burrito to come out, the chef came and told us he didn't have the necessary ingredients. He offered great replacements and made recommendations. He was super kind and honestly made our experience much better. Give that person a raise! Overall, good experience! Food was really good. Ambience and service were good. Coffee not great. Definitely worth a stop-in!

Unfortunately, haggis isn't available every day, so when we visited on a Sunday evening, it was not on the menu. That was definitely disappointing to find out. Instead, we ordered the Scotch egg, sliders, and the deep-fried Mars bar. The Scotch egg was good, but at $13 for a single egg, it felt a bit overpriced. It came with a small side salad, though I think serving two eggs instead would have made it a better value. The sliders were a pleasant surprise. The beef was clearly high quality, and they were the perfect size if you want to enjoy a great burger without committing to a full one. To finish, we shared the deep-fried Mars bar, and it was absolutely delicious. It's definitely a rich dessert, so it's perfect for sharing between two people. I personally would have preferred it with vanilla ice cream instead of whipped cream, but it was still a great way to end the meal. Overall, I'd love to come back and finally try the haggis, but based on this visit, I'd definitely recommend the sliders and the deep-fried Mars bar.

We returned hoping we would have the same positive experience as the day before. When we approached the register, two employees were standing together talking. We stood directly in front of the register for about five minutes, waiting to place our order. During that time, neither employee greeted us, acknowledged our presence, or said something as simple as, "We'll be right with you." The older employee remained leaned over the counter, continuing her conversation while casually writing on the countertop instead of acknowledging us or taking our order. The younger employee looked in our direction several times, and it appeared she wanted to help us, but the conversation continued. After waiting several minutes without any acknowledgment, we decided to leave. As we were walking out, a white customer entered the bakery and was enthusiastically welcomed by the older employee with a cheerful, "Hello, welcome." That contrast was upsetting and made us feel overlooked and unwelcome. While I cannot know the employees' intentions, the difference in how we were treated left us questioning whether race played a role in our experience. It was especially disappointing because we had enjoyed our visit the day before and returned expecting the same welcoming atmosphere. No customer should feel invisible when entering a business. A simple greeting or acknowledgment would have made all the difference. I hope you will take this complaint seriously, review what occurred, and remind your staff of the importance of treating every customer with the same level of courtesy, respect, and professionalism.
