We have lived in Riverside for about 5 years now and never bothered to go in until about a few months ago. We were missing out! On the weekend they have chicken or pork pozole and it is AMAZING. We always get pork and add some of the spicy salsa that comes with it (you only need a small amount because it is HOT). The nachos are also pretty good, not too many toppings but I like that because I don't have to get through layers of tomatoes and onions to get to the good stuff . Just recently had this as I was in the area. The wait was atrociously long and they were not so busy. They were out of carne asada and switching to carnitas still took a good 30 minutes before I was able to get my one to go order. The only redeeming point of the burrito was that it was pretty huge, but the price was not exactly friendly either. The taste was average, a little bit too much bean in it and the carnitas was soft but not flavored throughout. I really enjoyed the little hot sauce they gave as i used both containers but that may be attributed to the fact that the burrito was not too well flavored. Lastly my stomach did not feel too good aftewards. Would probably not return unless in a real pinch. Corona offers better mexican choices so no need to settle. read more

When across the street to chilitos and the place was closed during advertised business hours so we came across the street to Green taco. So glad that we did! The people that work here are very friendly food is very good and very fresh and definitely will be coming back. The restrooms were also clean and had paper towels, I hate when restaurants don't have paper towels in the restaurant and instead have air dryer. All the tortillas are made fresh By hand! After looking for somewhere to get tacos we found this place on Yelp. The rice and beans were really good. But what was amazing was the shrimp taco it comes with grilled shrimp, lettuce, purple onion, cheese, and a chipotle dressing AMAZING! My husband regretted not ordering 3 shrimp tacos. Saw other decent reviews for this place so decided to try it. It is not fancy but is clean as as be. ALL the staff and customers are incredibly helpful. I had the green burrito which was just incredible. I believe the spinach tortilla was homemade which I loved. The chicken was plentiful and flavorful, loads of nice melted cheese. I found this spot this morning on my way home from a photoshoot. I was in the mood for a breakfast burrito so I'd thought I'd give this place a try. As soon as I walked in the restaurant. I was greeted with a warm welcome by the cashier, Ruben,Who was helping the gentleman in front of me. Very nice young man with great manners and amazing customer service. My breakfast burrito was brought out pretty quick and hit the spot! Food was made definitely with fresh ingredients and love. During my meal, another employee by the name of Daniella, asked how everything was. I told her "everything was perfect!" And recommend that they bottle their hot sauce. It was DELICIOUS!!!! She then proceeded to let me know the daily specials for each day of the week. Such a great spot with great food and great customer service. I definitely will be back! read more

I cannot rate the food, but the service and greeting that I received as a customer was horrendous. This location treats its customers differently based on race and ethnicity. This is pretty sad because it is 2018. Apparently, there is a misconception in this restaurant that black women are dirty. As a Germaphobe and educator, my entire experience at this biased Restaurant has truly set the tone. My husband (White) and I (Black) visited this restaurant after it was suggested by good friends during our vacation. Yet, I unfortunately experienced microagressions and racism. And as my other half, my husband also was offended (flabbergasted) at the treatment and behavior directed at me. As an interracial couple visiting California, I surely did not expect this experience in a Latinx restaurant. Here is what happened-My husband stayed in the car to finish a phone call. I walked into the restaurant, said hello to one of the workers and walked to the restroom to relieve myself and wash my hands before eating. Unfortunately as I walked to the bathroom the cashier literally walked up to me at th door of the bathroom and said , " please don't mess up the bathroom". I was confused and perplexed as initially, I did not understand why on earth he would say that to me. He didn't stop anyone else nor make mention to them going to wash their hands before eating, but for some reason he stopped me! I simply replied, "I'm confused my husband and I were planning to eat here is the bathroom not working? I always wash my hands before eating. I'm a very clean person and I always wash my hands before getting food. My husband are here based on good reviews from friends, why on earth are you asking me to not mess up the bathroom?" He then replies, "I'm not being racist but when you come to the bathroom you just dirty it up." Meanwhile another lady (not sure of how she identifies, but she wasn't dark skinned- walked right past me into the bathroom and the cashier did not say a word!! I immediately ignored him did business and then asked for a manager. My husband literally walked in, and received the most pleasant greeting one could have mustered, and after seeing my face asked what was wrong. I then told him and the cashier walked to the back. After 7 mins (I waited) and then my husband asked for a manager, the cashier told him (looked directly passed me), that he would have to translate any and all conversations. Sooo- I'm now pissed because I think it's important that the management knows how these experiences affect their brand and possible business. So now, I'm going to share my experiences on every outlet including my travel blog, my university spring break page, BBB, and anything else I can think of since I have no other options of having developmental dialogue and or ensuring improved experiences for women of color in the future. No one SHOD EVER FEEL BELITTLED like that again-especially in liberal California in 2018! I could've went to _______(insert racist area) for that treatment. Do not support bigotry, do not support this restaurant until the manager and employees (who noticibly acted like they did not speak English to avoid us) acknowledge that they must treat all customers with respect and dignitY! read more

Family run business- son took our order and parents made our food. They make their OWN tortillas and all the meat is cooked to order so nothing sits under food lamps! Great customer service too! All the options are fresh and filling. I love that I can get lettuce wrapped tacos here too! I ordered 3 asada lettuce wrapped tacos. My mom ordered the chicken tostada and my Dad ordered the two taco plate, comes with rice and beans. We also got 4 extra chicken tacos and a side of beans our whole total was $32. I have been wanting to try this place since they opened. Today was the day. I wanted breakfast and since they serve breakfast all day I was excited to finally try it out. I ordered Huevos con chili Verde. I asked for the chili Verde including the meat, my boyfriend ordered the chili quiles with eggs and green sauce. The beans had no flavor, the rice had no flavor, my huevos con chili Verde had no meat even though I was very specific. My boyfriends chili quiles were soggy and also had no flavor. A complete dissapointment. Needless to say but, we definitely won't be returning to this establishment. I didn't eat my food neither did my boyfriend and he is a garbage disposal. He will eat anything so for him not to eat I knew I wasn't just being picky. read more

Went here for early Sunday dinner. Young man at the counter took the time to explain the menu to us. We ordered tacos (asada/carnitas/fish) which came with onions and cilantro (they have a variety of fresh salsas as well) and a chipotle chicken quesadilla. Food was very fresh and their tortillas are handmade in house (can really taste the difference.) Would highly recommend to anyone looking for fresh and handmade food in Riverside. My fiancé and I have been looking for a new place to go to and we've definitely found a hidden gem with this place. We ordered different kinds of tacos and the chicken avocado burrito.. so for 6 tacos with "homemade warm soft corn tortillas.. a side of beans a rice and a burrito big enough for 2 and super flavorful and a drink $25 I thought it was great.. not a huge wait food made with love and authentic with great flavor..I was happy.
