The ambiance here has always been one of my favorite parts. The fun eclectic style and calm feel. The food feels so fresh and I just looove getting the salad I feel like it's fueling my body. Some of the food is hit or miss but the roasted blackberry cheesecake, chocolate peanut butter dessert , and carrot ginger juice were all really good. Randomly found this location by doing a search on Yelp for healthy food. The food here is very clean, fresh, and absolutely delicious! The Palo Azul Tea, which we never heard of until we found this wonderful eatery, is super healthy and good for you too! The atmosphere is very calm, peaceful, relaxing, and the owner and staff were so incredibly friendly and helpful too!! We will definitely be coming back. read more

My husband and I are vegetarians, and we stopped by to visit here while spending time with a friend in LA. Anytime we can visit a vegetarian focused restaurant we are super excited, and Green Temple definitely did not disappoint. The restaurant decor is very unique, all the seating is actually outdoor in a very quaint courtyard. It provides lovely shade during hot sunny days, but if it's a bit cooler outside they also have heaters. There were a wide variety of options on the menu, from appetizers, salads, small plates, entrees, mexican dishes, and desserts. They also had both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage selection. I thought the portions very good sized, and everything tasted great. I was very impressed by their in house hamburger, the texture was great! Been here a couple of times. I like their food. The only reason I'm not coming back is because they do not allow dogs on the premises. There is not rhyme or reason. I can only assume the person in charge just doesn't like it. Although all their seating is outdoors in the front and in the back, NO DOGS. It's ridiculous because they are so close to the water and every place with outdoor seating allows dogs in the area. Lots of vegans and vegetarians have dogs so it's a shame that they do not welcome my dog which means I am not really welcome either. I really wanted to support a place that is vegetarian/vegan over going to omnivore restaurants They have convenient parking just for the restaurant in a little lot off the street so you don't have to pay for street parking. read more

Been coming to Green Temple for over 10 years. I still am in love with their white lasagna. The tofu sauce is everything. Veggies are always very fresh and I recently tried the Blue plate (homemade veggie burger with sautéed mushrooms in their "gravy" sauce. So delicious! The setting is delightful with outdoor dining in and around the courtyard fountain or next to the side by the off street parking where it gets ample sunlight. I used to go to Green Temple when they opened over 20 years ago. It was dog friendly, you could bring a bottle of wine and they catered to vegans. But we pretty-much stopped going when the dogs and wine were no longer allowed. Recently they started to allow well behaved dogs on the outer patio that's street facing. Plus they added alcohol to the menu in the past few years. I'm now a regular again! And the food seems to be better than ever. Their soups, salads, burgers are all beautifully presented, not overly salted and delicious. read more

This is my favorite go to in the afternoon straight from the beach or after an appointment. They serve the freshest ingredients. Food is good. The tofu sauce is freshly made and warm, it's the best. Finally used a gift card I received over 2 years ago since I was in the area. Didn't eat inside but the outdoor setting looked tranquil and comfortable. Ordered an almond and spinach salad, strawberry cheesecake and a garden wrap that resembled a wet burrito. Everything tasted very fresh and was satisfyingly filling. The "small" salad was large enough to share between two people. The wrap was the size of a regular/normal sized burrito and was hearty.
