GREAT TIMES AT GREEN TIMES MATCHA - Perfect for the dairy-free matcha lovers! The Earl Grey Matcha was the standout for me. The flavors from the Earl Grey really come through and was a perfect combination with the matcha. (Did I also happen to taste a touch of sea salt?) There was a lot going on, but I was here for it!I also got to try the newest summer addition to the menu, the Mango Cream Matcha, which was bright and fruity, all while being not overly sweet. I also tried the Strawberry Matcha, and while the flavor was just fine, I must admit that this one's on me rather than the shop: I've discovered that I'm not too sure about the strawberry puree texture added to matcha lattes, so take that note with a grain of salt. Each drink was $9, and I absolutely loved that they have dairy free options for $1 more. Green Times Matcha pops up at markets around the Honolulu area, so definitely check their Instagram before heading out to see where they'll be. Also they've gotten super popular (rightfully so!) so be prepared to wait a few minutes for your drink. They have a very efficient system, so they're good about cranking out drinks while still maintaining consistency.A little backstory that makes this place even better: the owner, Jinie, started this business at just 17 years old. So it's really awesome to see her business grow. I'm excited to see where things will take her. You can definitely feel good about supporting local at this business!! Is Green Times the best Green tea iced latte? Not sure tho I will say its definitely delicious! And they are all pretty. Yesterday had the privilege of enjoying a banana cream latte at Green Times popup in Manoa. It was rich. It was creamy. It has a surprisingly hint of a salty finish (which was nice). Drink was exploding in flavor. Was a little caught off guard with the $10 price per drink. Add on a surcharge from their square machine (even when using a debit card), tax, and tip and you are easily looking at $12+ for a not large drink. I get it, its expensive to do business in Hawaii and labor intensive popping up here and there and all over the island. Drink is made with some high quality ingredients. Matcha hailing from Kyoto, Japan. Customer service is great with the option to add more matcha and/or adjust sweetness. Would I be back? We went to their pop up during taste of aloha. It is in front of waterfront plaza and in the grass area. The wait was long but that's to be expected. By the time it was our turn, they ran out of matcha so I opted for their hojicha. I got the banana hojicha for almost $11. The drink did not disappoint! The banana flavor was not too sweet and it had graham (?) or some sort of cookie crumble. They had quite a few people working so the drinks came out quick despite the line! read more

Tried the Earl Grey Matcha at MIH. Fast and friendly service. I liked how the earl grey was not just the cream top but was incorporated into the matcha. However, the earl grey overpowered the matcha and the drink was on the sweeter side (too sweet for me). You sadly cannot adjust the sweetness. If you like a sweeter matcha with lots of drink combos, you would enjoy this! Additionally, the menu doesn't show the prices so you don't know it until you order, my drink was $12 read more

Went on a whim to try Green Times at the Taste of Aloha market. I have never seen a review or any "viral" video prior so I had absolutely no expectations when ordering. I am grateful that I did because they have easily become my favorite and I have been following them ever since. Matcha is very creamy, sweet, with umami notes and a hint of saltiness. One thing that sets them apart is the attention and care that goes into each cup. Jinny the main barista is knowledgeable and takes pride on whisking the matcha to order and gets the perfect foam. I like their creative drinks with the Earl Gray matcha as my favorite, the classic strawberry comes with a strawberry foam and the cookie butter comes with a biscoff cookie. Each cup is thoughtfully made and served with the perfect balance of the matcha umami. I'm being serious when I say that Green Times Matcha is the best Matcha Latte I've ever had on Oahu... or ever really. Jinny and her crew is a participating vendor at many events across the island. I first met them at the Miffy x Matcha event hosted by Makia Market, and loved them so much, that I went to their stall once again at the Matcha Festival just two weeks later! My all-time favorite drink from them is the Earl Grey Matcha. It is literally the perfect blend, where the fragrance of the earl grey really complements the matcha. The drizzle of matcha cream top is also fantastic and provides that bit of extra creaminess to really elevate the drink. I can't recommend this one enough! I also tried their Double Matcha with Maple, which was also good! The maple flavor didn't overpower the matcha. I would just be careful if you're sensitive to caffeine, this one definitely made my heart race. Despite the long line everytime, it was well worth the wait. Plus, all the drinks were made fast so I didn't feel like I waited very long. read more

How matcha nice... To find Green Times Matcha now at Fishcake on Thursdays from 11am to 3pm and I couldn't be more thrilled and it seems like they planted roots here for just a short time I'm already FALLing for their menu items which is all about Matcha. All are lattes with some familiar flavors like Strawberry, Ube Condensed and Coconut Cloud but there were couple unique choices of Earl Grey, Agave or what I got is "Pumpkin Spice". I'm not a huge fan of the pumpkin spice itself but just couldn't resist giving seasonal flavors a try which I always do and gosh I'm so happy I did, for an additional $1 you can sub for Oat or Soy milk which I did and though it contains dairy cold foam is included on all drinks. The Pumpkin Spice is not just that but pumpkin as well as recommended to stir your drink to fully enjoy but I took a sip of the pumpkin syrup on the bottom first and was so happy that it included pumpkin as well...it tasted like pie! Drinks are hand whisked and what a work of art it is though the cold foam is yummy not a fan of the salted flavor but it was nice and fluffy so stunning and beautiful. The staff is a delight as you're able to control your sweetness level from 25% to 125% which I kept it light and they also have Kimbap, cookies and Korean Fishcake as well to make it a complete treat. I just want to try everything on the menu and am so excited that I'm easily able to find them here and hope that come up with more creative flavors that has me craving for more. Thank you! read more

Green Times Matcha was one of the matcha vendors at the 2026 Hawaii Matcha Fest. They had a long line, and I heard great things about it so me and my boyfriend stood in line. We ordered 1 agave matcha and 1 strawberry cream matcha. Once our order was called, I noticed that our agave matcha was filled less than the other orders beside it (by almost an inch less). Not a problem. They were busy, and these things happen! However, our strawberry cream matcha did not have any strawberry puree on the bottom or the garnishes on top (see picture for advertised). I let the worker know about this, who directed me to the owner. The owner told me that she could just add the strawberry puree on the top and that's the only difference between what I received. However, given that the drink cost $10 and that the standard way to enjoy it is to stir in the strawberry puree at the bottom before drinking through a straw so you get both the matcha and strawberry flavors, I sheepishly asked if she could remake it. Unfortunately she seemed a bit annoyed by my request before taking the drink and remaking it. I respect Green Times Matcha and their team for working so hard in the outdoors. Their matcha is delicious too! However, I felt a bit taken aback by the owner's reaction, plus the portion inconsistency with our agave matcha. Small pop up at Fishcake every Thursday for now and it does not disappoint! The first time I went it was just the owner but the second time she had help. Their service is very friendly, helpful, and quick! If you want suggestions/recommendations they got you covered and will customize sweetness/flavor to your liking if it doesn't come out to your taste. I was personally quite happy with how my drinks turned out. The flavor from the fruit was there but also the matcha taste- all the drinks were balanced very nicely. Thanks to Aloha Pacific Credit Union located on Fort Street for this opportunity because they offered Free Drinks for all their Members. The service was super friendly. The combination of my drink was sweet, fresh banana flavor paired with the earthy, smooth matcha was simply outstanding.
