I got locked out of my house I called early in the morning around 6 ish. The guy said he could come…read morein 20 min he artived in 35 min. When I called him I explained to him it would be a schlage deadbolt it either needs to be picked or the cylinder needs to come out and changed out. He couldn't pick it so he started drilling. He had to keep using different size bits. He didn't look like he knew what he was doing. In the process he cut his finger. He not only chipped up the entire face of the Schlage lock now making it ugly just to get to the inside of where he could grip the bolt. What was supposed to be a 15-30 min job now took more than an hour and a half. All he kept saying was the guy who put in this lock didn't know what he was doing. It was more like he didn't know what he was doing he kept asking me which way do I turn the lock and my answer was not going to change from the last time. He could not pull the bolt out of the slot with his handy pliers. He finally gets it pulled out the socket. He then is turning the bolt and he says you see this it won't go back all the way he did something so it turns easier now. He shows me the inside plate where the bolt would slide into lock. He asked who pit in this lock? My dad many years ago. He says well your dad did an awful job. You see the plate is slanted it should be straight so that it doesn't get too tight or stick to turn. So he digs on that side now drilling a deeper hole. He knew i was pressed to get to work as I had to open up my office(luckily i have great drs who helped out ). He then says he can put in a silver lock not the Schlage or he can put in a gold lock. I left to go to work and had him finish up what he was doing. My family was home so they were able to pay him because I didn't have the $ he was asking for $475 to over $500 job. $75 to come out mind u he lives 15 min away. He said he charges $175 for drilling, $125 for labor(that drilling was part of your labor WTF), $100 cost for lock. He made 4 copies of keys and was going to drop it off to my job because he said he was going out that way. He wanted to charge me extra $12 for keys. He also didn't get to my job tight away i had to call him he came by around 12:30 or after. So remember when I told you the plate was supposed to be straight well that was was bullshit because when I got home the plate was still crooked/slanted and now when I turned my key the hole now felt way to easy and in fact I used to turn the key in and heard it click now I don't hear the click or feel it as tight now so I now always have to double check if It is locked because it doesn't feel like it is sliding right! i want go add he also asked me before I left if i wanted a matching bottom lock I said no because why replace something that ain't broke and that will cause more labor and more work. He was trying to jack up money! Then he left all the shavings on my porch and doorway! I should have went w my original locksmith but I didn't choose him because he couldn't get to me until the afternoon.

I explained my doorknob/lock issue and Andre asked when was I available for him to stop by. I said whenever, and he said he'd arrive within the hour, which he did. He diagnosed the issue (I needed to replace the knob while keeping the lock intact for our key), showed me a better quality knob he had in his vehicle, priced it out for me to okay, and had the work done in 45 minutes. He showed me what he had done, walked me through the workings of the new knob, I paid him (reasonably priced), and he was on his way, but not before saying to call him if I had any questions or issues. Mati responded right away, came to the house, and did the work quickly for a fair price. Side note: I couldn't open the fob that came with the car because of a stripped screw. Got rid of them - they tried to bribe me not to do an honest review - but then I found Sherman's and the guy immediately knew what had to be done and did it for a VERY reasonable price. My advice - stay away from the fakers and go with Shermans. Even if you have to wait a day or two it's more than worth it.
