Tech (Emil) arrived right on time, even got a text letting me know he was on his way. We went over everything and as quoted have the ok to proceed. He did a great job and was very thorough. After ducts and returns were cleaned, trunk lines were done. He found and showed me that one of the units had mold. Which we opted to go ahead and clean and remove. It was a bit more than I expected but we had the option to proceed and given that it's mold chose to do so. They worked with us on pricing and provided before and after. Emil was very polite, professional, and great at explaining everything and presenting options. It was pretty pricey but worth it haven't had any issues since. Just recently used them again for Cleaning out the dry vent. TLDR: All the bad reviews are accurate. The owner of this company is extremely rude and unprofessional and scams people into buying overpriced services that probably were never needed. My 80 year old mother in law called up Green Pro after seeing their ad in the local paper. She requested air duct cleaning and disinfecting, which was advertised as being $287 for unlimited ducts in a single system (which we have). The tech Nery showed up on time and was very pleasant to deal with. My husband showed him where the system was, and when the tech inspected it, he told him to go downstairs right away, that there was mold. Why he couldn't just show him the mold in the system is beyond me, not to mention that if the tech was dealing with something so hazardous, shouldn't he be at least wearing a mask at some point during the cleaning? Surely, being exposed to large amounts of mold on a regular basis is not healthy. The tech called his boss and talked my mother in law into paying for a UV light, which would cost $600. Because she was suffering from severe allergies, she was desperate to do whatever it took to try to calm her sinuses down and agreed to pay for the light installation. Somehow the services still ended up adding up to $1500, originally being told it was $1800, and this was after asking for a senior discount, being told she had to refer a new customer, and that she had to pay this amount in cash that day. She paid, and the tech vacuumed the ducts, cleaned the mold somehow without us ever needing to leave the house or turning off the system, and installed the UV light in under 1.5 hours. It is still questionable if all the air ducts were done because we were trying to stay out of his way while he was working. We were emailed before and after pictures, but there is no way to prove that it was actually our system in them, and I still think it is highly suspicious that the tech simply did not show my husband the mold up front when he was in the attic with him. Our system is only a few years old and was installed by the previous homeowner who worked with HVAC systems for a living. The next day, after really wondering what the other charges were that got tacked on to the bill when by our calculations it should have been $287 for the cleaning and $600 for the light, my mother in law called the company to see if she could get an itemized invoice. The first man she spoke to instantly started to talk over her and became rude and argumentative when she insisted she didn't get a copy of the bill because he told her it was emailed to her. He put her on hold, and a different man (I assume the owner) got on the phone with her. She told him that she wanted to know what the other charges were that added up to $1500 because she was only told about the charges for the cleaning and the light. He instantly became combative and accused her of lying and that our tech told us about them (he did not). He also had no patience for her when she could not find the emailed invoice. Being a senior, she did not realize that the bill was hidden away with the multiple photos that had been sent. When she said she didn't get one, he again called her a liar and became extremely irate and loud, talking over her and arguing that it was already sent. If someone is that defensive over a bill that has already been paid, you know something has to be wrong. She had even told him that she wasn't disputing the charges, that she just wanted to see an itemized bill, and he refused to even consider just emailing it to her again. Because I ended up finding the attachment in her email while hearing all of this go down on speakerphone, she told him that he was being very rude and abusive to an 80 year old senior citizen and that this was no way to treat a customer and that she would be leaving bad reviews for him everywhere that she could. He kept screaming at her on the phone about how great he was and how wrong she was, so she hung up on him. Being the juvenile that he was, he called her back and screamed that he doesn't "deal with f***ing fools" and hung up on her! Of course we realize now that we should have researched the business before we hired Green Pro Cleaning because the bad reviews all detail a similar experience. The invoice looks extremely sketchy upon closer inspection, and it was not sent until after the job was finished. Obviously we will not be using them after this. Terrible experience with this company. My husband scheduled an appointment with them yesterday (11/15/24) to clean out our air duct vents and they said they would send out a technician today (11/16/24) between the hours of 12-2pm. Today at around 12:15 (give or take) a technician by the name of John showed up and after looking at all the vents in our home, he went outside, made a phone call, came back and told us (my husband & I) that due to the lay out of our home and the fact that our boiler is not situated in a basement, he did not have the appropriate equipment to do the job. Therefore, we would have to wait another week for a new appointment. I could not believe what I was hearing. I raised the question as to why was this not asked during the initial phone call when the appointment was being made? Why didn't the dispatch raise the question of the boiler or the layout of the house? These are general questions that should have been raised. John was not able to answer my questions. Instead he said he would speak with his Supervisor and have the office recontact us with a new date and time. Mind you, my husband and I had to move furniture as well as our washer just so that the technician could have access to the vents. John was apologetic, however he made it clear that he had nothing to do with the scheduling. He assured my husband and I that someone would be recontacting us, it is 2:54pm and NO one has gotten back to us. Therefore, my husband and I chose to contact a different company who when we explained our experienced with GreenPro, they were really surprised of the lack of professionalism by the company. Saw Green Pro's ad in Home Plus magazine that advertised unlimited vent cleaning, single system for $165 or with disinfecting for $295. We decided to go with the latter since it hadn't been done in so long. Our technician, Victor was very nice, efficient and knowledgeable. He did a great job. The add-ons of the UV light and blower motor cleaning were needed and we agreed to it. A different technician came to install the UV light the same day so we wouldn't have to take off another day. I used Greenpro on 10/12/21. The tech did a good job cleaning my ducts.That is when he told me that my fan was loaded with dust and mold, I knew something was not right. He called his boss {Mike} who told me it would only cost $500.00 to take apart the fan and clean the unit. When I told him I would have my regular service man take care of the cleaning, he became arrogant and very loud and said that I should not use my heat until the unit was cleaned or it would void any work that his tech had done. I did not need any heat until the following week, when I turned the unit on, it DID NOT WORK.I went up to the attic , took the cover off the burner and looked inside to see if I could find what the problem was. I could not find any cut wires but I did not see any MOLD OR LOADS OF DUST on my equipment. My equipment worked fine before they came to my house because I tested the heat and a/c . the week before they came. I called greenpro and told the answer service that I had a problem. I was told someone would call me back the next day. The next morning, Mike the owner called me and asked me what the problem was, When I told him that the tech did something to my equipment, he became very arrogant and loud and he asked me what I wanted him to do. I was so upset because I had liked and trusted the technician ( Nery ) . When he showed me photographs of mold "upstairs" , I believed him because he seemed trustworthy. I am a senior citizen and have my young grandson living with me so the idea of having mold was scary . Now, , I tend to doubt that there even was mold. Greenpro did a good job cleaning the ducts (the guy was great and the before and after pictures sure showed an improvement) but the owner or manager (Tom?) tried to up-sell us on a complete cleaning of the attic air handler (which, of course, the homeowner rarely goes up to inspect) claiming it was extremely dirty and with lots of toxic mold growing. His initial estimate was about $1,700 but, since they were there already and had the last days of a summer special happening, we could get the job done for $1,400. Then, after expressing my concern and interest in having a second opinion, the price dropped to $1,100. I declined, suspecting something fishy. The guy continued with 'you sure you want to wait and have toxic spurs infecting your house...if I have to send someone back, the special pricing promotion will have ended'. I declined again. He wasn't happy. I called our home energy contractor, had them take a look and, as you can imagine after reading this so far, they said the coil was just a little dirty and that there was no sign of any mold.
