I also tried their cheeseburger and it did not disappoint! The burger had the perfect crispy edges, the cheese was melty and delicious, and something about that perfectly toasted bun just brought everything together. Simple, classic, and done SO well. Definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area! I'll absolutely be back!

We rolled into Cascade Locks on a Sunday in July, the kind of Gorge afternoon where everyone within…read morefifty miles has the same idea: get out, get sun, get a burger. Eastwind Drive-In sits right on Wa Na Pa Street, red and white building, that iconic soft serve and hamburger sign swinging out front like it's been doing this since before any of us were born. And it has. The line was out the door and down the sidewalk by 3pm, easy thirty minute wait, and nobody seemed to mind. That tells you something before you even taste the food. We ordered the double bacon cheeseburger, and it did not disappoint. Real griddled beef, two patties, melted cheddar doing exactly what melted cheddar should do, crisp lettuce, all of it stacked on a sesame bun that held together through the whole ordeal, which matters more than people think when you're eating standing up in a parking lot with a dog giving you the full guilt trip. Speaking of: we took our food down to the park by the lake, picnic tables under the trees, and Willow, our English lab, decided that burger was the single most important object in the entire state of Oregon. Nose right up against it, patient as a saint, working every angle. She didn't get any. She deserved some. That's the tension of loving a good dog and a good burger at the same time. Prices are fair for what you get, hamburger starts under seven dollars, the shakes and soft serve looked like the real draw for half the line, and the menu board out front covers everything from tater tots to Italian cream soda, which is a detail I did not expect and now can't stop thinking about. If you're passing through Cascade Locks, Eastwind Drive-In is worth the wait. Bring cash patience, bring an appetite, and if you bring a dog, be ready to share eye contact you won't win.

It was stunning and made the experience even better. I had the Jamaica hard cider, and it was so good that I had to buy a crowler to take home, i brought it back to California! The Blackened Chicken Sando was amazing!! It was perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. I paired it with a side salad, which was also great. My kids ordered burgers and fries, and husband Bacon Jam Burger. Between the breathtaking views, outstanding service, delicious drinks, and incredible food, this place exceeded all of our expectations. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

It's the perfect spot to enjoy the weather and grab a bite after a hike. The menu is mostly burgers with some salads and rice bowls. My daughter and I split a salad and the Deluxe Burger. The burger was good, pretty solid, nothing special to note. The fries were really good and it seems like their sweet potato waffle fries are really popular, we saw them on almost every table. The Caesar was a very large portion, but a little too heavily dressed. It was also not a super flavorful dressing. Overall, this is a solid option if you are in town!

No, they offer the impossible burger and the black-beanburger. OK - they are vegan, sure, but they are not what we like. Now they offer a variety of specialty burgers with catchy names. Like the Pendleton. The description sounded good: "Our 1/3 pound char broiled beef patty, covered in House BBQ sauce, melty cheddar cheese and crispy onion rings, on a toasted bun, served with French fries." The "covered in House BBQ" turned out to be about a table spoon of BBQ inside of one of the onion rings. I had also ordered their clam chowder. Look on line, picture shows what looks like a creamy clam chowder. What showed up could best be described as thin. Think skim milk. Taste was not bad, but dang it all, it used to be legendary clam chowder. We've been going to this restaurant for many, many years. They used to have a salad bar, they used to have great relishes, now, well, we tried the Brigham Fish Market earlier today and will not be going back to Bridgeside. Pity.

Seating is mainly on the rooftop where you get a nice overlook of the Cascade Locks neighborhood. The beer list is mainly handcrafted beers from Oregon so if you're looking for domestic items such as Coors light or Bud light, this ain't your location. We did some Kolschs and the Day Hike Pale Ales. The Pale Ale is tasty and easy to drink. My sister likes the Kolsch although it didn't appeal to my girlfriend as it was a bit sour for her. She did like the Pale Ale so I had to order another one for her. As for food, I went with the farmers salad and the wings while my sister got the classic cheeseburger and my girlfriend went with the chicken sandwich. The food came out pretty quick and we dug in. The salad was bigger than I expected and I loved the beets and bacon with the goat cheese mixed in. As for the wings, I could've done without those as they came out dry and tough. The sauce is pretty good (hazy ipa buffalo) which I'm sure would amplify the flavor of the wings if they weren't so stiff. My girlfriend and sister both enjoyed their chicken sandwich and burger. I probably should've ordered one of those cause they looked tasty. My nephew ordered the kids chicken tenders w/ fries. He ate them and didnt' complain which is a good thing. The location also hosts events such as weddings and engagement parties; not surprised given the views of the area and the access to the beer. Apparently there's also a Gorges Beer location directly in Southeast Portland if you don't want to go all the way to Cascade Locks. This spot is alright; my nephew enjoys it here so I'll probably be here again when we visit the Hatchery next time we come.

We started with a side of Brussels sprouts, and they were absolutely phenomenal. They came topped with Parmesan crisps and were sautéed in a light, flavorful oil that was so delicious we couldn't stop eating them. I ordered the apple risotto, which was outstanding. It was creamy, perfectly cooked, and beautifully balanced by the tartness of the apples. The apples were cooked just enough to complement the richness of the risotto without overpowering it. My son ordered the clams and couldn't stop talking about how wonderful they were. My husband had the Friday prime rib special, and it was cooked perfectly. The sides were excellent, especially the asparagus. He also ordered the house salad with the house dressing--an herb-infused oil and vinegar dressing that was absolutely delicious. To finish, we shared the five-layer chocolate cake. It was everything a great chocolate cake should be: moist, light, and rich without being overly sweet. It wasn't the kind of dessert that leaves you reaching for a glass of water after every bite just perfectly balanced and incredibly enjoyable. The gorgeous views, warm ambiance, and attentive, friendly staff made the evening even more memorable. Every part of our meal exceeded expectations. We will absolutely be back and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience.

Don't think of this as a golf club restaurant but more of a top choice for a nice dinner or nice meal in the area. My wife, mother and I were staying at the resort next door to the golf course and decided to give Isadore's with no prior research. Being from Seattle, the menu and approach from Isadore's and their effort to be a high end restaurant serving unique high quality cuisine was terrifying. In Seattle, a restaurant with this type of approach is going to be awful, pretentious, tiny portions and expensive. Isadore's was the direct opposite with stunningly unique food, excellent service and a very warm inviting vibe. We enjoyed Isadore's so much that not only did we eat dinner here but we returned to enjoy their lunch menu the next day. The people working at Isadore's were truly a cut above as everyone we met from the host, to our waitresses, to the other service people, to the Head Chef, to the owner were already incredibly friendly and extremely passionate about Isadore's and taking care of their customers. The host was a very young lady who could not have had a better attitude and who was so friendly to us. I was also highly impressed with how hard she was working always cleaning or doing something while not attending to her hosting duties. Our two waitresses were spectacular with good humor and great effort taking care of us. The real reason I am writing this review is the steak I had here was one of the best I've had in recent memory. An incredibly unique blue cheese crust with Portobello mushrooms on top of a flavorful perfectly cooked NY Steak. I've have never had a blue cheese crust on a steak before and it absolutely rocked my socks! My wife ordered the same thing and she has been known to hurt people and start fires when her steak isn't cooked correctly. Both of our steaks were nailed with complete perfections at two different temperatures. Exceptional! We tried lots of different things here. My wife loved the clams she got. The different types of bread were all awesome! My mother was raving about this place during the entire trip. Out of everything we had here across Dinner and then lunch the next day, everything was great to exceptional. Really had no expectations walking in but walking out was completely blown away. Isadore's hit it out of the park in virtually way. My mother was even raving about how fancy she thought the bathrooms were. We really loved Isadore's and would go back any time we're in the area!
