Your view as you enjoy your wine.

Stopped by the Vineyard on Saturday for their Harvest Festival! First time there and it will not be my last. Fantastic wine to go with amazing views. A perfect place to sit back and enjoy your day. The festival had artisans and food vendors. It was a fun time! A few tips- the festival starts at 11- I would recommend you arrive before 12noon. Also, the bathroom line was long.

Stay away from the big corporate places and absolutely go here ! So I'm already planning my child's wedding here and she doesn't even have a boyfriend. We accidentally stumbled upon this insanely amazing vineyard on our way back to the airport from Newport. It is off the beaten path and right on the river. The staff is beyond friendly and really knew their wine. They have an extensive wine list. I would highly suggest getting the flights. At the particular time we were there if you bought two different flights, you were only missing out on tasting three different wines. If you are a Chardonnay lover, they have four different types right now oak undo in a few more. They have one wine right now that screams Thanksgiving dinner. They are all back is to die for. You were right on the river and they have bonfires some nights as well. Plenty of inside and outside seating of course they do a wine club which I still may go back and do. I truly cannot say enough about this place. It just seems like you're in a rustic German village drinking wine looking out on a a vineyard on one side and a beautiful river on the other.

It was my first time visiting Greenvale vineyards and I was not disappointed! First of all, the location is stunning! The vineyard is in proximity to the water and you can watch sailboats float by in the distance. They also offer a gorgeous outdoor patio area where people can enjoy their wines nestled among the green vineyards and gorgeous trees. The wine itself was quite tasty! I only tried their skipping stone white but it was delicious! Highly recommend visiting Greenvale Vineyards!

Greenvale Vineyards is truly one of my favorite spots in Portsmouth. A friend and I visited recently on a Saturday afternoon to soak in the fall weather and it was the perfect place to relax among the grapes and foliage. We stepped into their beautiful tasting room and were excited to find a new sparkling white on the menu (of course we had to bring a bottle home). I also stayed true to my usual go-to, the Vidal Blanc... cold, crisp, refreshing, and always a winner. As always, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We spotted familiar local faces, chatted with the knowledgeable and friendly staff, and even got greeted by an adorable puppy which absolutely made our day. Between their great events, visiting food trucks and the peaceful setting, Greenvale continues to be a staple for anyone looking to enjoy great wine and a beautiful slice of Portsmouth. Highly recommend a visit!

Greenvale has super knowledgeable and kind staff! We are new to the area looking for fun things to do and this place is perfect! Great spot to enjoy live music, bring your own snacks or enjoy the food truck onsite, bring your dog, and sip on a bottle of wine with a view of the Sakonnet River and the vineyard.

I'm a big fan of Greenvale. During pandemic days, it was a lovely place to enjoy wine in the great outdoors. I was also drawn by the Village Greek food truck that often makes an appearance there (I love all things Greek, and this food is L-E-G-I-T. I highly recommend it.) I enjoyed the tasting we did, and this is the first place I ever learned about - not dared to try - an unchilled white wine. It completely changed the flavors! So fascinating. On our last Sunday venture, there was a great musician playing and there were patrons who knew to bring their own chairs - the picnic tables fill up! All in all: Definitely worth a visit!

Beautiful vineyard on the water in Portsmouth, RI. We stopped in to try the new food truck, Cousins Maine Lobster, and enjoyed some of their Chardonnay select to pair with our seafood. The outdoor seating is so picturesque and their indoor space is beautiful as well. A great spot for a day with friends or family, dog friendly as well. Highly recommend!

This was a fun, one stop on a sprawling state overlooking a nearby lake. We enjoyed a couple of wind flights, roughly the equivalent of two glasses of wine each. The flights may seem a little pricier until you factor in that the pours are heavier. Plenty of outdoor space to enjoy your wine, in addition to cheese and charcuterie options. The Skipping Stone White was our particular favorite. It's a wonderful balance between sweet and dry. Staff was friendly and very helpful in making suggestions. Would recommend for anyone stopping by the area and looking for a great location for a date night or group outing.

The most accommodating staff at any Vineyard I've ever visited! Amazing live music, helpful advice on wine tasting, romantic atmosphere - in addition to the beautiful landscape by the water. Wines are delicious - especially the pinot gris! 10/10 recommend!

Went with the ladies today and we were able to sit under the gazebo. It was such a beautiful day- music was playing, there was a breeze in the air! Brandon was awesome and assisted us in picking our flights. The selection is small, but it is sooo good. I really enjoyed being able to bring our own food items. There was a pizza truck with food available as well. There was lots of space- kid friendly space wise, but byoe (bring your own entertainment) for the kids!

Super cute spot right by the water. The atmosphere was awesome and the wine was delicious! I also thought the service was super friendly. We got two flights to share between 4 people and it was plenty! I love that they host different food trucks depending on the day. The day I went, there was a wood fire pizza food truck that was amazing! We got to sit outside and admire the views of the vineyard while enjoying delicious wine and pizza. What more could you ask for?!

Amazing venue for . . . pretty much everything! Went there for the first time this past weekend. It was simply amazing! Fantastic views all around, fabulous staff, and great wine! There is a variety of seating options, wrought iron tables and chairs, as well as picnic tables and of course just sitting on a blanket on the grass is also available. There is a small stage that is used for live music, on this day there was a fantastic jazz band that played and just set the tone for a very relaxing atmosphere. I can't wait to go back again next summer so we can enjoy the vineyard, as well as fantastic views of the sunset.

Do people bring their kids to hang out outside?

I didn't see any kids when we were there, but you could easily. It is a mellow and sort of subdued environment, sipping wine and taking in the views etc., so not really a place to play or be loud or rowdy.

We each got a flight to try some wines for $24 each, and later ordered a bottle of the Vidal Blanc.

The Russell family has been crafting wine here since 1982, and that generational passion shows in every single pour. This isn't some corporate operation -- it's a fifth-generation family of vintners tending 80 acres of vineyard on a 435-acre farm , and you feel that love and care the moment you step on the grounds. The wines themselves are world-class. Their champagne-style sparkling wines are rated in the top 100 in the world and have even been served at the White House -- twice. And yet somehow they remain approachable and unpretentious. Their flagship Brut RJR offers compelling aromas of apples and toast, with fine tiny bubbles, crisp citrus, and a lengthy, satisfying finish -- at a price point that makes you feel like you've discovered a secret. The Atlantic Northeast's cool maritime climate and the farm's rich soils layered with granite over glacial outwash give the wines a gorgeous balance of luscious fruit and bright acidity that you simply won't find anywhere else. There are no wines on the planet that pair better with local New England seafood. The outdoor patio with vineyard views is absolutely beautiful , and the Friday evening Sunset Concert series makes this one of the most charming date-night or weekend destinations on the South Coast. Their winemaking philosophy uses ancient, traditional methods including those of Champagne and Burgundy -- minimal processing, maximum patience. You taste the difference. If you haven't visited Westport Rivers yet, you're missing one of Massachusetts' true treasures. Five stars isn't enough.

I'm used to paying a lot for good crafted cocktails and these were good. Still, that's on the high side for a cocktail in a place like this, a place that's not a dedicated Mixology place like it say, Violet Hour. We were also told when we came in that there would be a $10 cover charge for each of us. That's fine as well. What I can't understand is how our bill came to $87. Even with two $17 cocktails and two $10 cover charges and a 20% tip or service charge that is still high. What the hell? You may have a good time if you go to this place. On three counts vibe, service, price, service was top. I can't say I would consider this again.
