I had been here once when Gooseneck Vineyards first opened and have been wanting to come back ever since. I recently returned with a group of six girlfriends to celebrate a birthday, and it did not disappoint. The place was packed, but Lauren was so helpful and made sure we were able to get a table where we could all sit and enjoy ourselves. I had to try the wine cocktail menu and the Snow Globe Spritz was a standout, fun, festive and delicious. As always, I also enjoyed some prosecco, even though we wish we could've bought a bottle for the table. We rounded out the afternoon with popcorn and a pretzel from one of the vendors, which was the perfect snack pairing. Great atmosphere, great service and a wonderful spot for celebrations. Disappointed by Gooseneck Vineyards' policy of not allowing a cake for a special occasion. We came to enjoy the live music, food trucks, and atmosphere, and planned to stay for several hours. However, when we learned we couldn't celebrate our special occasion with a cake, we chose to leave. It's surprising, especially when many restaurants and venues accommodate guests celebrating special occasions. We ended up going to a nearby establishment that welcomed us and our cake without issue. Unfortunately, Gooseneck's policy turned what should have been a memorable celebration into a short visit. read more

Wow, how have I not been here sooner?! Has the best evening at Gooseneck! I met a friend there with her kids and my son. There is a field so the kids just had a great time running around. My son loved the elevated charcuterie box and now wants me to make candied oranges. They had a pizza food truck there which was delicious as well. Went for the red wine flight and enjoyed them all. I actually love that they import a lot of their grapes since it allows for some awesome wine production. Love the overall vibe and there was plenty of seating. Valet made it easy as well! read more

We had a nice visit at this rather preppy winery, we went mainly for the pop up Art Fest by Wickford artists. The place was hopping! The art tents were set in the field and it was a nice autumn day. We stayed around for some wine tastes ($17 for 3) wines were ok, and friends enjoyed a glass of apple cider sangria ($17)! We found a nice spot under the tent to have some seafood chowder from Newport food truck plus a seafood mac & cheese good selections. Paying $9 for a tiny cup of chowder was too pricey. The music was to start at 2pm but He was late so he didn't get to hear much. I'm glad I made the visit as I drive by often l, but won't rush back because the cost of tasting. read more

First visit, but not my last! Lauren took care of us yesterday. She found us a great little space/room to celebrate my birthday and she took wonderful care of us. Our drinks were always full and she gave great suggestions. I especially loved the lemon spritzer and the prosecco---they were great! The ambiance is super cute, and i loved how they had blankets in case you got cold. While it's an adorable space for colder months, I really can't wait to come back when it's warm. Amazingly restored and transformed to a country chic, modern feel vineyard. The wood elements along with the bright central room make it such a refreshing environment. It was my first visit, and I happened to show up on a cool fall day for their last art event of the year -- basically, the vineyard equivalent of sweater weather magic. The place is absolutely charming! The outdoor seating areas are so cozy you'll want to move in, the food truckssmelled like happiness, and the big tent made everything feel festive and relaxed at the same time. I was impressed by all their wines (and might have fallen a little in love with a bottle or two). It's the perfect spot for a short day trip -- peaceful, scenic, and full of that good "Rhode Island charm." I can't wait to come back with friends or family once they finally make their way here... because this place deserves to be shared. This is the perfect spot to stop for a drink on a beautiful day! They have tons of outdoor seating - you can choose from sitting at tables under a big tent or lounge outside in the sun in comfortable arm chairs. Gaze at the picturesque vineyard while you sip your wine. When we went they also had beer and cocktails made with wine. I had a delicious Aperol Spritz made with wine based aperol. It was lighter and fruiter than a regular Aperol Spritz. We went with a group of friends on a Sunday when they had live music. Get there early on a nice day because the place fills up! The winery has charcuterie boards and popcorn to snack on but not a full kitchen. They do have food trucks that rotate through so be sure to check their website to see what's scheduled. Staff was friendly and efficient. And though they were busy we never had to wait long. The inside is a repurposed old horse barn and they've done an amazing job of renovating the space. This charming winery is housed in a repurposed, historical barn with gorgeous grounds and a stunning interior. The spacious layout can accommodate large groups easily. My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our Ambassador flight which was guided by our server who is a winemaker herself, June. I learned so much from her! We learned that they just planted grapes and will be harvesting them when they are ready so they can make their own white wines. My favorite wine is the Wickford White. It's a crisp white wine that would be perfect for the summertime. Tip: This place is located right where route 1 and route 4 converge. When heading down Route 4 south, there is not an easy way to get there. You have to drive by it approximately a mile before there is a legal turnaround to go North. Gorgeous location, great wine, and good souls... I'll definitely come back! read more

On the way back from our dining adventure in Narragansett, we were passing by the new Gooseneck Vineyards tasting room. I said to hubby that I'd buy him a tasting & he zoomed into the parking lot. Space is gorgeous, staff was fun, dude singing & playing guitar was good, nice variety of food offerings from the Cranston-based food truck. But the tasting was $17 for 3. What?!?!?! I've done a lot of wine tastings over the years & that is really expensive! So we opted for a $13 glass - I went with the cranberry Aperol Spritz & hubby for a glass of red. Adorable place to stop and have some wine and listen to live music in the summer. They have valet parking which is convenient. Inside is beautiful with lots of quaint tables. We sat outside under the tent to listen to some live music. My aunt and I tried a flight of white wine. I really was only a fan of the Wickford White Portugal and switched to a beer after the wine flight. They also have some cocktails and nonalcoholic choices as well. I would go back and try their reds. Service was attentive and friendly. We didn't try the charcuterie but they looked delicious. The ambiance is wonderful!! The wine was very good!! Was disappointed when we arrived & had bought a bd cake for my sister bd which wasn't allowed. I found this very odd. So we ordered from the pizza truck which was very expensive and had to tip & I had to walk out & get the pizza which was messy so we were they didn't allow food in from outside due to it being messy well the pizza was messy no one clean up our area I did. So I probably would go back for the ambience but I definitely wouldn't tip. It's like self serve !! We did enjoy our company. But also felt like I could do this in my backyard. Oh also dog friendly outside. Well there was a dog inside so I ask if rules can be broken how come we couldn't do our bd cake. Left a bitter taste on all of us. read more

Such a beautiful space! The tasting room itself is decorated beautifully, so inviting and cozy. We tried several of their wines, and they were all wonderful! We definitely preferred the wines at Gooseneck, over some of the other wineries in the state. During our trip, several locals that we spoke with recommended this winery over the others as well! The staff was so friendly, and if wine isn't your flavor, they had some super yummy wine cocktails available, which, were also SO cute, as well as a couple of beer options, too! They even had the coziest blankets available on the rainy day we visited, to cuddle up on the couches with. We could have stayed here all day and literally had to tear ourselves away! This would be such a beautiful spot for a private event, or birthday, or girls get together! We will absolutely be back on our next trip to RI! read more

Spotted this on the way home from Newport, we did the ambassador tasting and Paul the owner did an amazing job. He was outgoing and really made us enjoy the experience, you can see his passion for wine. The wine was great my favorite was the Pinot noir! The ambience is perfect with fire pits and games outside. It's in a very old barn that they reconstructed but kept the integrity of the place! I ended up buying a case of wine, do not drive by!! I will definitely be back with friends :) read more

The food option was poor given we got there before 5:00 PM and the food truck was no longer taking orders. They were backed up and ran out of key ingredients. This would deffinately be a 5 star review with the exception of 1 and only 1 thing and that is the forced valet parking. You pull into the vineyard and you can only go one way and that is right into vallet parking. This is a major down side to this venue. The place has great atmosphere, beautiful seating indoors and out - food trucks - great wine selections and a relaxing environment. However I must give this a major thumbs down on the forced valet parking. I'm a big boy and I can park my own car - at least give me the option and dont force me to have to use the valet service - you really lost points from me on this personal sticking point - sorry! read more

Beautiful atmosphere! It was a little chilly inside, but staff used portable heaters to warm the place up a bit. We had a rather large group & wanted a snack. We saw that we weren't allowed to bring food with us so assumed we could buy some. All we were able to get was a very pricey charcuterie box & bags of popcorn (fresh popped & delicious & cheap, but not very substantial). I sampled 3 of the wines, 2 rose's & a Prosecco. They were all delicious! I had a glass of the Wickford white & enjoyed that also. I did not try any red wine, but am not a red wine drinker. Our server Patrick was great, especially because we were a big group (10) trying out a new vineyard & getting together because a friend was visiting for the holidays from out of state. We visited on a Monday & the place was full by the time we left. The outside fire pits were lit, and it was beautiful. A few people chose to sit outside because the inside was busy. I'm sure it's great on a spring/summer/fall day. I would've given it five stars except for the lack of food for purchase. I was disappointed that you couldn't bring your own food. Most importantly, we weren't allowed to purchase bottles of wine for consumption while there. You are only allowed to purchase a bottle and take it with you. I'm not sure what the purpose of this is, other than to keep visits short ! The price for a glass of wine was not cheap. read more

The place was popping with people creating a fun, lively atmosphere. The outdoor space & facility are well designed & pretty sleek overall with big open spaces. They do not serve food but there was a Big Dog food truck there. The place nailed the aesthetic vibe that people love for vineyards including a little adorable outdoor bar & I can see it continue to be popular because of it. We tried two tasting flights, one with three different white wines & one with two different reds & one sparkling Rose. They were pretty solid over all. For those that do not drink wine they also offered several Newport Craft beers & "Paul's Beer Tap (Miller Highlife). read more

So for the 4th me an my family went An let me tell you the wine was divine. The service was amazing everyone was so nice we had this nice young man named Patrick He was very helpful an patient with us when it came to trying new drinks an wine.The food was good,not many options just pizza from vetranos wood fire (very good) an another truck I wanna say gannett chowder. But what stuck out to me was the service of the wood fire pizza this young man named Jarrod made us feel like we were in a restaurant. He went above a beyond for my elderly mother an for my children after he took our order (after all the questions) he then walked the food to us (normally don't do that) came with plates napkins everything. He was very patient with my mother a children who had a ton of question. Towards the end of the meal he brought us a to go box without even asking. He was on his A game. So overall everything was a 10 out of 10 the food the wine the service I will definitely be telling my girlfriends about this an we will Be going back. read more

We went to the soft opening of this new location for Gooseneck and the property is beautiful. They carry Gooseneck brand wines that are all imported from Portugal, Italy and France. The tasting room has plenty of tables for folks to sit and do a tasting, we opted for inside because the outside has ZERO shade. (there are no tables with umbrellas, but a bunch of Adirondack chairs and small fire cauldrons, as well as corn hole and patio jenga.) June was our tour ambassador and she was great. We really thought maybe the tour meant just try 4 different glasses of wine, but there came a little history lesson with each. LOL They were out of cheeseboards and crudité when we got there, but then someone found one of each in the back of the mini fridge. We had to ask for crackers... but there was a food truck on sight serving burgers and sandwiches. Prices are Wickford-esque, but all in all it was wonderful to see the renovation to a property that has sat empty for years and years and years. I'm sure once they've been open a while more changes will be made for the better, but this is a great little Sunday funday spot and we cant wait to see what happens next. read more
