Staff was quick to sling drinks, plenty of swag available, excellent selection of grab and go beer if in a hurry. Very casual and cool atmosphere. Both indoor and outdoor seating available. Great for groups, reserve for private events, come down for trivia in Wednesdays or keep an eye on their calendar for other events. Building had been beautifully redone and just a chill vibe with some light music in the background that doesn't overpower your conversation. Love this addition to Bristol! The shared parking lot is huge, making this an easy spot to access near other new local businesses - there's food, a distillery, and coffee shop right nearby, making this new plaza a great spot to hop around and spend a day or evening. The taproom here is huge - acoustics can be a little tricky if they have live music, so you may want to check their events page ahead of time if you want to be able to hear your company clearly. That said, I've seen some great local artists here - everything from a 4 person DMB cover band to a solo acoustic performer with an angelic voice. A+ for putting effort into the programming! The beer list is quite long. I love their sours when they have them on top, which isn't always but a good portion of the time. Other than sours their beers are not my most favorite in the world, but still yummy with lots of variety to taste around. Pivotal had some very good brews and was a cute stop! We stopped in to try some different beers on tap and play some board games while getting out of the sun for a little bit. The staff were super nice. The only unfortunate part was that they didn't have many options for non-beer drinkers. Yes, it's a brewery. I wish there were a few other cider/seltzer options. Also, the table we sat out wasn't the cleanest. There were some sticky parts and we unfortunately got some red rust or paint or something that rubbed off on our clothes. read more

I came to Pivotal for the first time after running the Bristol Half Marathon. There was a free beer offered to runners, and I got that and it was good. There were multiple brews I wanted to try, so I ended up getting a flight. Delicious beer! I also like that you could order food and bring it in. My husband and I ordered from Brick next door and it was nice just walking over to pick it up and bring it back while we enjoyed some brews. I love the industrial vibe at this location. The vibe inside is pretty cool, and there are some outdoor options as well. They had a good selection of beer, as well as as hard tea, which I opted for. My husband and cousin got an IPA, which they enjoyed. I really enjoyed the Blackberry Lemon Hard tea, and actually grabbed a 4 pack to take home! Service was great! The guys at the bar were super helpful and gave us some samples to help us pick the right thing. Overall, cool place to check out if you're in the area. There are some food spots around also. Great place! Loved the look of the old industrial inside, especially the sky-high ceiling and how airy the place is. The art on the walls is a really nice addition to the overall ambiance. It was a beautiful early May Day and the garage-style doors were wide open, relieving a little bit of stuffiness as you went further inside. I wasn't in the mood for beer (I was with a group of friends who were in that mood) so I was happy to find seltzers available. Pivotal has super great space - high ceilings, lots of unique seating options, colorful decor, food cart for your munchy needs (on other days, when the food cart is not there, you can bring in your own food). We sat at the bar & chatted with a lovely young lady bartender. She explained the different options & let us sample a couple of beers to see which we wanted to try. Hubby went with the Pivotal - a Czech-style pilsner, I went with a 4 choice sampler - Sippi (witbier with passion fruit & mango), Tea-La (hibiscus blackberry herbal hard tea), Sir (nitro ESB) & Midnight (Czech-style dark lager). For both of us, the Pivotal pilsner was our favorite but I definitely enjoyed the unique options in my sampler. This place was recommended to us by some of the locals in the Bristol area. We were amazed by the super vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. First off, we loved that this industrial building was repurposed into what is now Pivotal Brewing. It's just something you don't see everyday. They had plenty of seating, a few patio games and live music performances. This brewery was the perfect hangout spot for our friends. The beer selection seemed great, there was a lot of diversity and experimental beers. Everything we had was delicious and flavorsome. Great vibes, great service and great beer. Fun and funky local brewery. Decor inside is a mixture of mismatched furniture and walls with different decor. The building itself is gorgeous with amazingly tall ceilings, large windows, and lots of brick. It was formerly a mill building. Service is quick. We only ordered beer. This place is GORGEOUS. The servers were so helpful and informative. Between the 2 of us, we had flights w/ about 10 various beers. Great variety. It's hard to choose but I think my favorite is All Things Reconsidered. It's huge, artsy, and has a ton of seating options. It's such a cute and fun place to meet up with friends. I got a blackberry hard tea that was pretty tasty. My friend got a non-alcoholic beer. Very impressive brewery in my hometown. We visited for the first time on Father's Day and well, everything from the name, to the taps and decor had a lot of thought behind it. Every piece of furniture is mismatched and makes you feel at home. Whether it's the comfort of the 70s sofa or the end table you may recognize from your granite table house, this place is so welcoming. The garage door entry has that "Portland" feel and the energy is great from the moment you walk in. There is plenty of seating, games to play and many manus from local businesses to order some snacks. The draft offering was almost overwhelming they had to much to try. The chalkboard background for the taps was so smart. They also pour from cans so you can literally try every beer they make. They also sell cans to go, which is always good. We tried a mix of beers but my favorite was the Cone Carnage DIPA. The beertenders were friendly, knowledgeable and super helpful. I really do love everything about this place and Avi am glad it opened up so close to home. read more

I've been to this place three times over the last year and I really enjoyed that they had a pizza place and a coffee shop right by. But I did speak online to the owner about her lack of changing tables in the bathroom. She did rectify the situation and let me know she purchased some to install. But she also aggressively sent me a private message which is unprofessional. Then 2 days later, some of the things I discussed with her were then used in a "PSA" on her social media page. The comments of that section which quickly became a "kids at brewery bashing" forum. The owner Rebecca, created an environment where her followers could display their distaste for anyone who brings children. She didn't delete any of their aggressive comments, but was sure to delete mine who called her out for posting pieces of my conversation with her. Overall, If you are a family without children this may be the place for you. But if you're looking for a Mother's Day or Father's Day spot, skip this, as it's clear her patrons do not want you there. read more

I love all the microbrewies popping up in the state. Pivotal is located in a refurbished mill building in Bristol right next to Borealis coffee company and Basil & Bunny. What I also like to see in these microbrewies is some alternate craft beers to the usual IPA's. When I went, they had a lager, a sour and a fruit beer in addition to the classic IPA's. They also boast a large open dining space with eclectic décor that is very thrifty chic. You can also sit outside where they have a couple of cornhole games set-up. We will definitely be going back as it was a very comfortable space to meet with friends and enjoy a couple of beers. read more

Came here once a year ago and again recently- really enjoyed ourselves both times. By the second visit, they have expanded their beer selections and cover the range of beers, including a farmhouse saison and a peanut butter stout that we purchased a bottle of to bring home! NOT GLUTEN FREE FRIENDLY!! This brewery is not inclusive like it claims. I have celiac which means I must follow a gluten free diet. To all of my Celiac friends out there, do NOT go to Pivotal. I have been to several other breweries that are able to be flexible and accommodate to my needs. Pivotal made me dump out my drink from home because they claimed that it was a rule and they cannot have any type of liquid that is not sold in their brewery. However, after the worker dumped out my mug, I took a look around and plenty other people were drinking coffee, juice, and drinks from personal water bottles. If this is the rule, I understand. However, this was not enforced for anybody else and for that reason I am extremely disappointed. In the meantime, I hope Pivotal can take this advice and soon provide some gluten free options to make their menu accessible to more people. From one Bristol local to another, if you are looking for a good place to go in the area Brick restaurant is right next door to Pivotal is awesome, they have great GF options and Twelve Guns is also very supportive and has gluten free seltzer! Lastly, Borealis next door has their liquor license and has inclusive food and drinks alike! read more

Been there a few times and the beer selection is good, the atmosphere is cool and the location is great too. Next door to Brick pizzeria which is the bomb. For those who wish to complain about "changing tables", dogs etc..do us a favor and get a babysitter, leave the dogs home and stop bothering those of us who just want a nice couples night out. I love dogs and babies but they don't belong at breweries at night period. Until one of your cherubs gets nipped by the cute "doggie" then you will learn and I have witnessed it at other breweries already. The "entitlement" generation has to be hands down the WORST ever. I love this place! My friends and I meet at Pivotal regularly with our kids....enormous bonus for being kid-friendly! The taproom is large, but manages to stay warm and inviting. The beer is excellent, staff is really friendly and extremely knowledgeable about all the different beers and products available. They even have a purple lemonade and their own homemade root beer from time to time, along with the most delicious beer slushees! They have THE BEST events and a variety of food trucks, and on the off days you can bring in your own local food. Can't say enough good things about this place. read more

Beautiful restoration of an old mill building. This is a small portion of what once was the Kaiser Aluminum factory that operated in Bristol for many years. The rest of the complex is a mix of elderly residents, businesses, and most recently restaurants. The building certainly retained the open and industrial feel. There are many couches and tables scattered about for seating and there is also a bar. There is a large parking lot right in front of the building and a lot of on street parking as well. Since their opening I kept looking at the beer list and never found anything appealing to make me want to visit. I finally saw an Italian style Pilsner on the menu. I am a big fan of Pilsners. The reason I like Pilsners is because I find them to be light and refreshing. This one I found to be just the opposite, neither refreshing or light. The service was fine.
