To say it was an experience is well, correct. We initially visited Kia to just look around. This was back in December. We were told numbers and deals but we were not ready then. We said we would be back if we were interested. They understood and welcomed us to return. The sales associate who helped us then was "David Beasly". Fast forward to this month, as one gets their tax returns, we inquired to return to Kia and see what the numbers were now. We seemed out David once more and he intended to help us get my car of my dreams. It was a stressful week honestly trying to get my car but David and "Bubba" spoke with us about all our options and really went the extra mile to help us get the "2025 Kia Telluride". I received a give-away event flyer in the mail that showed I won $2500 cash. Called and got confirmation that yes indeed I had won and needed to go to Kia of Rivergate to claim my money. Got there and was told that actually everyone gets that code and that the actual numbers are different than what's on the flyer. My actual winnings? A $5 Walmart gift card that a guy pulled from a 3" stack. And I wasn't the only disappointed customer there. I'm not sure what their marketing dept is thinking. They're luring people there with the promise of a cash prize and then ending up with a bunch of angry people who never want to go there again. Review for Greenway Kia of Rivergate -- 1536 Gallatin Pike N, Nashville, TN 37115 I'm writing this review because I believe in honesty and integrity -- values I wish I had experienced at Greenway Kia of Rivergate, located at 1536 Gallatin Pike North, Nashville, TN 37115. When my son and his wife had twins (in addition to a toddler under two), they suddenly needed a vehicle that could safely hold three car seats. I explained this clearly to the salesperson and stressed how important reliability was. I wasn't just buying a car -- I was trying to make sure my grandchildren weren't stranded on the side of the road. Instead, the dealership sold us two lemons. First vehicle -- Hyundai Palisade Within three weeks, the motor completely failed. Despite the urgency of the situation and the fact that they had just sold it to me, the dealership refused to take responsibility, offer compensation, or even attempt to make it right. Second vehicle -- also failed Because I have integrity, I chose to return to the same dealership, explain the situation, and give them the opportunity to correct the problem. I even swapped the vehicle with them and requested only that they give me more than what another dealership would have offered, considering they were the ones who sold me a defective vehicle in the first place. They did the bare minimum. A few months later, the second vehicle's motor also went out. Thankfully, I had purchased an extended warranty, so that repair was covered -- but we still went months without a vehicle. Now, more problems: the bearings are failing, damaging the fan blades, and the repair is estimated at over $2,000. My conclusion Greenway Kia of Rivergate does not stand behind their vehicles. They do not inspect them properly before selling. They do not prioritize customer safety or satisfaction. I have done everything on my end with honesty and fairness, and I cannot say the same about this dealership. I wouldn't buy a piece of gum from this place. They had a giveaway for a couple large prizes and some small prizes as well and the flyer I got made it seem like I won $2500 instant cash and I left work to go claim it and I got there and come to find out I was eligible to win One of the prizes and it didn't necessarily mean the 2500 but that was OK. I was still getting something for free and I was happy until I come to find out that I only got a knock off version of what I was supposed to get they had a car they had money and they had a gift card and they had some AirPods listed as the prizes and they did not give me AirPods. We bought a 2023 Telluride last year, and that whole process went as well as buying a vehicle can. I have no complaints. Virgil was a great salesman. Informative, to the point, no bs. This year we had some minor cosmetic issues with the vehicle. I was told the parts were on back order for a long time, but come to find out they actually got them a month or so after they were ordered. No big deal. We got an appointment and got it fixed quickly. A few weeks ago our sunroof literally exploded for no reason. We originally tried to go through the Kia dealership in Clarksville since that's where we live, but we went around in circles with them and corporate. During the appointment where the minor cosmetic damage was fixed, I mentioned the sunroof to Maggie. I didn't ask her to help me because I figured going around in circles with a dealership was normal, so I was prepared to let that process run its course. After my cosmetic issue was fixed, I go in to sign paperwork, and Maggie was like "hey I got approval from Kia to go ahead and replace that sunroof free of charge, so I went ahead and ordered the glass. I'll let you know when it arrives and we can set up and appointment to get it fixed." ..... I was surprised to say the least. The thing that was taking our local dealership days and days to even respond to phone calls and emails about took Maggie at Greenway Kia Rivergate 2 hours to figure out... There was nothing positive about this service department. I told them the issue, the thermostat is stuck in open, and all they would do was reset everything to turn the check engine light off. It came back on in less than 48 hours. The thermostat is still stuck in open and the car doesn't truly warm up. The way the staff talked to me like I didn't understand what was happening with the car was downright insulting. They told me that the cold weather was making it hard for my car to warm up and that's why the blue thermometer light was on. Not how that works. The lack of professionalism and refusal to fix the issue is truly upsetting. I would never recommend this dealership to anyone. read more

Road tripping went awry when our Kia Telluride decided to extend our stay just north of Nashville. We were dead on the side of the road, and the closest dealership was the Greenway Kia of Rivergate. We were finally towed, but it was after hours, so we had to wait until morning to see what was wrong with the car. I was extremely wary after seeing and reading the Yelp reviews... Less than ideal to say the least. Service opened at 7 AM And when my husband stopped in to check on the status, he said they had already taken apart the entire front engine and were being meticulous about finding the issue. The absolute worst experience of my life. I bought my car in October. I still don't have plates. They forgot to order them initially. I was disrespected on the sales floor by the sales person after the bank was calling me because they couldn't get in touch with them. The finance person was late filing my paperwork for my warranty refund. I had to email repeatedly and finally he sends me an email in ALL CAPS like I'm annoying him by trying to take care of my finances. Absolutely no one has helped me get the warranty refunded to my loan account after a total loss on the first car I bought 40 days prior to this one. That's $2,829.64 that hasn't been applied to my account. The reason for the issue? They sent a check to cover multiple accounts instead of each account individually. Sheer laziness and incompetence at its finest. When I call I get voicemail boxes that can't take messages or busy signals. I've sent emails. I've gone into the dealership and these people genuinely have made it an art NOT to care about their customers. If you read this review and still buy a car from these people you are an absolute fool. Unprofessional in every aspect. Their response time was very slow. The cars they sell are lemons. We traveled several hours for a car with 13k miles only to have it show a check engine light. They tried to erase the code before we saw the car but we spotted the manager with the OBD2 scanner. Their finance guy ran my credit which was over 800, and because we backed out, we got a notice in the mail that we were rejected for a loan because of bad credit, resulting in my credit suffering. Worst experience buying a car I have ever had. Was sold a car with bald tires and then asked them about it not even a week later bc my tire kept going flat. Refused to replace multiple times over the next month. Finally replaced them. The salesman "couldn't get my old tag off my previous car" so I had to file a police report that it was stolen and purchase a new one... unprofessional and ridiculous. on 1/29 i purchased a jeep from this kia and long story short a junk yard trans was placed in the truck without my knowledge because it wasnt on the carfax that was pulled up on the listing. I paid for the entire one and discovered that it was replaced 10/31/04. My check engine light came on and a loud whinning sound occured with in two weeks of having the car. I leased a new 2023 Sportage this past spring, and I'm tempted to say the beginning of my experience was pleasant up until the damage, but that isn't even true given the level and lack of organization when signing. I had no issues with my vehicle until I went in for my first oil change, the day after my appointment my 'check oil' warning screen kept appearing every time I turned the car on. I called and the dealership told me that it was just the car reminding me to get an oil change - that it needed to be reset since I'd just had one done. The following week I took my car into the same dealership and was told by staff in-person that the service department was closed that day, but again nothing to worry about - just stop at any Kia anytime to get the sensor reset. I don't live close to Kia so my next easy opportunity to stop at one was about 2 weeks later when I drove from Nashville to Cincinnati to visit family. I took the vehicle to one of the Kia service departments in Ohio and was told I had ZERO oil in the car, that I had been driving without oil for nearly 3 weeks at this point. They also discovered the oil filter cap was leaking due to the gasket missing, the cap was overtightened, and the under shield was also missing. So now I had just over $400 worth of repairs on a brand new car, and a possibly damaged engine that I was told could start showing signs anytime in the next 12 months from this. I don't work in the auto industry, let alone have much knowledge about car parts, but I'm pretty certain I could learn how do an oil change and not mess it up that badly. So careless for parts to be missing and installed incorrectly on a routine oil change, especially at a dealership. Fast forward to about 8 weeks later, my check engine light comes on. I was ironically in Ohio again when this happened so I took it straight to the dealership there - again. After inspection they determined something called the 'variable oil pump solenoid valve' wasn't functioning and my car was deemed unsafe to drive. Hmm, I wondered why that could be happening. My car was in the shop for 2 weeks until the part arrived and it was fixed. We have tried multiple times to hold conversations with this dealership and it's management to come to some sort of resolution that we think is fair, because what's not fair is paying for and driving a brand new car around that's already had multiple repairs because of their actions... and now honestly I'm just waiting for the next shoe to drop. It's extremely disappointing to say that at this point, with beyond good reason, I will obviously not feel comfortable purchasing the car when the lease comes to an end. The team here provided no solutions, had no remorse, and honestly acted like they couldn't care any less about the situation they've put me in. What a way to ruin my very first experience purchasing a car by myself, I'm curious what's going to happen when my engine ends up ruined and they're held responsible. I don't make an effort to write reviews, but I will make an exception for this septic tank of a dealership! After my visit to this establishment I can honestly say I felt like dog fecal matter on the bottom of their shoes. I have a 2018 Kia Soul! with 61,204 miles on it. I bought it 4 years ago and have had zero issues with it until 2 weeks ago. I was told by this dealership that the engine is blown and needs a new one for $10,000. There was a warranty on it that expired at 60,000 miles. As if this whole experience hasn't been upsetting enough, to be treated like a worthless gnat and not worth anyones time is just deplorable. I work in customer service. Everyone except Maggie the receptionist in the service department, is an absolute failure at their jobs. True car-salesmen work here, you know the kind that are only about screwing the customer and making their personal gains. They initially gave me an excited call before the "diagnostics" were done on the car asking if I'd be interested in selling it to them since they needed more cars for their lot and mine was a high demand vehicle. I told them, pending the diagnostics I would let them know. Once they called and said "Engine was blown, it has no compression and it will be $10,000 to fix" I called them back and let them know I would discuss selling it to them. Was told I had to meet with the V.I.P. Manager (an absolute joke of a title and person named Stan) for an in person appraisal. Went back down to the dealership for said "appraisal" since they wouldn't do it without me there and met with Stan. He told us to have a seat and came back with print out about 5 minutes later saying they could buy the vehicle for $2,500-3,000 and that is the best they could do. Stan my man, put some effort into what you do. Look at people's car and do the whole song and dance for an appraisal. You know the silent walk around and touch all my cars scuffs and bumps. That was too much for you I guess, might be time to retire sir. Thanks for leaving me with the service department guy too, he was a peach like you. When I asked multiple times what caused my engine to seize, he had no answer for me. Stan took us over to the service department and just left us there to speak to someone and we never saw him again. Service department guy came out and talked to my spouse and I like we knew nothing about cars and there was no clarity on what the root of my engines issue was, because they had to take it completely apart to diagnose it....I guess doing your job is hard and effort isn't your thing then. I have a 1.6L engine, there are no reported issues with this engine, wouldn't you want to look into that and figure out what made this engine an anomaly? When I asked for "official" diagnostics on paper, I was told they have none. For the $230 in diagnostics I was charged for I insisted that I wanted something on paper, so finally he turned to Maggie the receptionist and said "put blown engine on the paperwork" He also tried to put the blame on us saying it could have overheated, lack of oil changes, or maintenance. Which absolute BS, as we took care of the car regularly for all maintenance and oil. The aggravation, hatred, and all over disappointment I'm experiencing with Kia corporate and these clowns is monumental. I bought this vehicle in 2019 for $25,000 and It let me down at 61,204 miles. Most worthless investment I've made in my life. Kia and it's employees don't stand behind their products and support their customers is what I've learned during this entire experience. In todays world a little decency, compassion, and understanding goes a long way. I'm not asking for a hand out or a massive discount, but I will ask that you retrain your employees. NEVER EVER TAKE YOUR CAR HERE FOR SERVICE!!!!!!! I have taken my Kia soul here on two separate occasions and both times my experience was horrendous. This most recent time, I took my car in to get looked at since it was making a strange noise. It was over $200 just for them to look at it without even raising it up to get a good inspection of the problem. I received a text that they had finished looking at it and they texted me the rough info and price it would cost for them to look at it. I found their response to be unspecific, so I asked for an itemized quote to be emailed to me. A normal request, right? Apparently not, as the tone of the messages instantly shifted and became really short, cold, and stopped using any sort of capitalization or punctuation, which seemed weird. It took about an hour for me to receive my itemized quote of only three things. I now understood their hesitation in sending it to me as their prices were PREPOSTEROUS!!! They were trying to charge me over a thousand dollars for something that should have been covered under a RECALL!!! They also told me to fix things that didn't even need fixing! It would cost me over $3,000 to do the repairs they wanted to do. Needless to say, I didn't accept their offer to fix it and immediately picked up my car to take it elsewhere. I took it to a different shop, and it was under $200 to get everything I actually needed to get done with a tire rotation on top of it! Funny enough, this other shop replaced a brake light that was out and that was something Rivergate didn't even pick up on in my $200 "glance" of an appointment! I was also informed that Rivergate had not replaced the oil gasket when they changed my oil last time! Ridiculous. Not to mention, Rivergate was relentless with phone calls and e-mails begging me to let them buy my car "for a refund of my recent service"... HA!! Made the mistake of answering a call and the person on the phone tried to make me feel guilty for saying no (which I had to say at least 5 times). What a manipulative and pathetic way to do business! Not one time have they gone above and beyond. Oil changes are overpriced and for what? To give you crappy service from a dealership? Me son and daughter in law went to this dealership to purchase a car in July. After going back and forth a bit we finally agreed to a price. We were doing our own financing from our bank. It took 2.5 hrs to get a bill of sale to take to our bank to get a check. After we returned with the check it took another 1.5 to do the final paperwork. We had a we owe to be done to the car that still has not been fixed. They kept telling us they couldn't find the part. So we took upon ourselves and called a local dealership and behold they keep that part in stock. Amazing when you do the work yourself. After we call and let them know thaty this dealership has the part in stock. They have now agreed to get the part. Now they are telling us it will take 5 hours to do the job. We asked the local dealership how long it should take and they are telling two hours max. Once we get this part fixed we will never come back to this dealership. I would not recommend them for anything at all. I've sold cars before for over 8 years and it has never taken me more than 30days to get a part. I needed to drop my Kia Sorrento off at the service department and have the engine replaced due to a recall. It took them 2 full months to replace the engine, but that didn't bother me as I was in rental. When I finally got the call that my car was finished, I went to pick it up and was extremely shocked to see that it hadn't been vacuumed out, wiped down or washed. I literally had to clear a spider web off my backseat before putting my daughters car seat back there. Typically they give you a car wash when you get an oil change, why was that not something they do after a full engine replacement. read more
