I just have to say that this place was amazing. We were our way to take our dog to his vet and our car starting over heating. We pulled off to the side to let the car cool down and to make sure that it had coolant in it. I tried calling around and no one could see us until Monday. We leave two hours away and come up here to take our dog to the vet. While looking up another place to call we noticed this was right behind our vet office. I called and they said they weren't sure what it was but they could look at it for us. It looked like it was a father and son team. Could not be happier! My 1964 thunderird was having some problems staying cool, especially in traffic. I installed a 2 speed electric fan but the fan was always running on the high speed and the car struggled to keep temps in check. Ron built me an improved radiator to replace my partially clogged unit for a very reasonable price. Now the car stays cool and the fan never goes above low speed - it even turns off! Ron is a great person to work with and I highly recommend him. In fact, next winter I'll be back to have my heater core rebuilt. read more

I stopped here on a whim and was very impressed. I couldn't find the right size radiator for my old ford pickup ('67 f100). I tried several places that specialize in old fords (found off Hemmings) and the only place I could find one had a 3 week delay until they had it in stock. I strolled in here and the owner took care of me. Had the new radiator the next day with new hoses, clamps and radiator cap. All for cheaper than what I could find on the internet. Well, I had a cracked radiator, and Ron quoted me $200 less than the shop that diagnosed the problem. So clearly, I took my car there. I couldn't be there until after normal business hours to pick up the car, but no worries, Ron was able to be there when I needed to pick up my car. During the radiator repair, a fog light was broken (not his fault, previous repairs had set him up) so Ron ordered a new one, and again was able to be there after business hours to replace it. I had a radiator that was purchased form Greenwood installed by my mechanic 21 months ago. When it began leaking I went back to my mechanic and was told that the Greenwood radiator had only a 1 year guarantee. So for another $313 I had to buy another one. This time I ordered one form another shop. NO MORE GREENWOOD RADIATORS. According to the "How Stuff works" web site. "Most auto mechanics feel that a properly maintained radiator should last for at least 8 to 10 years.(Not less than 2 years). read more
