Great place. A hidden Gem. Took the family there for breakfast. Excellent staff, friendly and efficient. Food came hot to the table straight from the grill. There were 8 of us. Two had omelettes with hash browns and toast. Three had pancakes - chocolate chip, blueberry and plain. Three had egg platters - eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, toast. Eggs were cooked perfectly as ordered, bacon was crisp and sausage patties were plump. Hash browns were plentiful and nicely grilled. Restaurant is small but food is great. All booths and tables were full the whole time we were there. Definitely a town favorite. Highly recommend without any reservations. Will definitely return. Great breakfast and really nice staff! This was my 3rd visit and it has always been a wonderful experience. The service is friendly and fast and you can pretty much just order whatever you are in the mood for and know that it will be done right. Ive had the hash, French toast with ham and pancakes with bacon on separate occasions and they've all been delicious. I've stopped buying groceries for our weekends in LaValle and just go here for breakfast. read more

Stopped in for lunch after hiking the 400 trail. This place is a throwback, but in a good way. Homemade pie, wraps and fries were quite good. Service was efficient, and prices are very reasonable. Service was severely lacking. Our waitress took a very long time to greet us and we didn't see her again until long after we had finished eating. No stops in between. The food was subpar. So far, so good. Stopped here because of other Yelp reviews. Nice and clean, but one observation , the place is LOUD. No sound deadening and the conversation on the other side of seating area sounds like it is at your table!! Something soft to soak up some of the sound would help. Smallish menu but varied. Must have a separate breakfast menu, but none was offered. Food came very fast, was hot and good. AND...a big plus...fries without skins!!!! I like this place!! read more

Stopped by for lunch and ordered the roast pork sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy. The food is always wonderful here, but this meal really hit the spot. From the visual appearance of the plate to the deliciously tender roast pork and mashed potatoes it is by far some of the best food you can get in town! I would definitely recommend this business. Sat and waited over 40 minutes with our food order in. We order an omelette, pancakes and French toast. They kept pushing out so many to go orders and couldn't keep up with the people sitting in the restaurant. No server came to our tables for over 30 minutes. Absolutely terrible ended up leaving before we even got our food. read more

My friends and I were having a crafting retreat in the area during the week and went to Greenwood's for breakfast before heading back to MN. Everyone enjoyed their breakfast which was served piping hot and complete. Our server was spunky and made us feel at home. The southwest omelette was very tasty, hash browns were crispy, and pancakes crispy/fluffy. Our visit was an excellent cap to our week. See you next year! read more

We found this place traveling back from Wisconsin Dells and found it on yelp. Very busy on a Sunday morning, but we found a Seat right away and the food was excellent as was the service. I got the JUMBO burger. it was tasteless and there was nothing jumbo about it. I would say it was smaller than a 1/4 burger. I expected for the name a burger you would make at home on the grill. Speaking of grill they dont have one. It was cooked on a flat top, now i have had flat top burgers and they were fine but this one wasnt. Watch out they will ask you if you want fries for a salad for items that dont come with a fries or a salad. Hence the extra charge on our bill.
