Although I was anxious about working remotely on something so important, and second guessing every aspect of the design and stone, Eddie was kind, patient and responsive. He answered all of my questions (and there were many!) with understanding and great humor too. The work was also done quickly, but not at the expense of quality. I believe their passion for jewelry and great service demonstrates they aren't just a typical jeweler, but rather a master craftsmen. The end result was absolutely stunning!! My fiance got my engagement ring from Eddie/Diamond Traces....all the planning and design was done via email and mail as Eddie is in Miami, and we live in NYC. My ring turned out absolutely beautiful and my fiance has nothing but great things to say about Eddie. Fast forward to being engaged, the ring is too big. I looked around NYC to bring to a jeweler, but just felt really uncomfortable leaving it somewhere i don't know... So i contacted Eddie and off the ring went back to Miami. Mind you.... I was putting the most beautiful thing I've ever owned in the mail and shipping hundreds of miles to get my ring sized. Eddie answered every email extremely quickly and talked me off the ledge about shipping a ring to Miami. I sent the ring on Thursday, today is Monday and it's already on it's way home! Their new estimate was $300. The wedding band was simple, no stones, and I was sizing down. When I went into the store and asked them about this they said was the new price they were charging to resize rings. It is annoying that not only were they not sticking to the timeline that they gave me, but that they decided to increase the price to do a simple ring resize by 300%. Particularly when other places around the city have quoted me at $40. The worst part of my experience is because they took so long, and weren't upfront I wont be able to bring his ring to the funeral with me.EDITED July 16, 2021. She came back with a manager who said that they would honor the original price of $110. They asked if two weeks would be ok, I said no so they said they would rush it. After two weeks I called to see when my ring would be ready. The person I talked to said it wasn't started and would take a few more weeks. It was at this point I asked for a manager. I got a call back from Dorian who proceeded to try and blame me for the situation saying I had only brought the ring in a week earlier (July 9th), he also tried to stay that the repairs center was running behind so my ring was forced to be done in August. I demanded that they give me an exact date when they would get me the ring and that they expedite it like they said they would. I got an email back saying that it would be done Friday the 16th. When I went to pick it up it took another 45 minutes of back and forth because they had stamped the inside of the ring with the Tiffany & Co name when it originally didn't have it. I have also reached out to their corporate customer service and was told the district manager would contact me. They have not done so, which is just par for the course in the horrific customer service they have give me.
