Cute little spot in Cabin John Shopping Center! It was busy on a Friday night but we had a reservation and got seated immediately. I would say the wait staff didn't seem to have an assigned section, we didn't have a main waiter, or so I don't think. We were asked 3 different times if we were helped already. I didn't mind it, but it made it hard to know whose attention to get when we did need something. Regardless, my wine was always full! Now for the food, there was bread for the table. The bread was warm and came with dipping sauce. We didn't get appetizers and I'm glad because the portions were LARGE! The pasta came out hot and it was delicious! My friend got the carbonara and she ate the whole thing! She said it was creamy and rich and everything she needed. As for me, I got the Frutti Di Mare. I will say it's not the best I've had but definitely one of the better ones. The seafood didn't smell like the ocean and it mixed well with the pasta, if that makes sense. LOL. Sometimes it seems like places will cook the seafood separate and plate it with the pasta, not here. The dish blended perfectly. My favorite part of the night was when one of the owners, Donald, came over to check on us. He said he wanted to make sure we were enjoying our dinner and that his guests were happy. We dined here for the first time tonight and WOW! They brought out a delicious bread basket with a dipping sauce shortly after we were seated - bread sticks, knots, all of the happy carbs. The service was phenomenal - they were on top of drink refills, friendly, knowledgeable, and able to offer great suggestions to those of us who weren't sure what to order. When the food arrived, it was hot, fresh, and delicious. It was the best meal I have eaten in a long time, and I think everyone at our table would agree. A few of us ordered pastas, some ordered salads, others ordered seafood, and we got a pizza for the table. Absolutely every dish was delicious! My only complaint would be that the food was so good I ate too much and regretted wearing pants that have a button. (Obviously this is 100% my fault, but just wanted others to have a fair warning to wear attire that allows them to indulge). I saw an ad for the chicken parm on Instagram and it looked so good! My fiancé's favorite Italian dish is chicken parm so we had to order delivery. I ordered the linguine with clams and it was sooooo good! Just a tad on the salty side but the noodles were the perfect texture. My fiancé loved the chicken parm. We also ordered the supreme pizza to share and it was ok. The toppings were very good but the crust was a little dense. I prefer Neapolitan wood fired pizza. I love that their own staff delivers so I can trust that I'll get the food in a timely manner and handled well. We're definitely going to order again. The menu/pastas look really good! read more

After discovering this restaurant in the Cabin John shopping center, my friend and I made reservations at 7 pm on a Wednesday. We were given the option to sit inside or outside and we chose a secluded booth. We were given complimentary bread, and the garlic bread was AMAZING, hands down the best garlic bread I've ever had, despite being drowned in oil. We ordered bruschetta as an appetizer, and my friend got the baked ziti while I got the spaghetti carbonara. The bruschetta was also delicious, but the server accidentally heard me say spaghetti pomodoro instead of carbonara. However, they kindly brought out the correct dish within a couple minutes. Both of our dishes were hot and we thoroughly enjoyed them! I would definitely be willing to come back to try their pizza or other items on their menu! read more

We dined here to celebrate an occasion and were overall quite happy with our experience. We came on a weekday evening during which it was mildly crowded, but plenty of seating. The staff were quite friendly and attentive. For appetizers we ordered the meatball sliders and fried zucchini. The fried zucchini was quite delicious while the meatball sliders were a bit on the salty end; both however paired well with the marinara sauce that came with it. I We then ordered the veal marsala spaghetti, carbonara, and clam linguini. By far, my favorite was the carbonara. The texture was great - quite creamy and just the right amount of flavor. The veal in the marsala pasta also tasted great, though I found the sauce itself to be a bit salty. I also really enjoyed the clam linguini I'd still come back next time and would like to try a different dish, or get the carbonara again. read more

Chose this place for my mother's 70th birthday and it did not disappoint. We started with an arugula pear salad and it was delicious, a nice light salad to start with a sweet finish. For our main course we split the baked ziti and margarita pizza. Baked ziti BLEW my mind!!!! Soo good and cheesy, the sauce was good too. My mother had the chicken Marsala and she loved it, chicken was cooked to perfection and wasn't overly saucy. The portions were good sized we had left overs. The pizza wasn't for us, we felt like the sauce was a bit sweet and that's just not what we like for pizza sauce. And finally tiramisu was great, creamy but not overly sweet especially with the coffee hints. Our server was amazing too definitely helped us out with recommendations. Ambiance was nice, great vibes. This place was hopping on a Wednesday night ("Wine Wednesday" 1/2 price bottles) but 3 of us were quickly seated without a reservation. Excellent service - our server Marcus was quick to get to us and checked on us appropriately throughout the meal. The eponymous Greg and his dad Don came by to see us as well - very personable and cared how we were doing. The food - we had a bread basket with warm tomato jam/sauce to start with garlic knots and breadsticks. We skipped the apps to leave room for dessert, and opted for the entrées pictured. My picky teenager powered through the ravioli while we savored our fish dishes. The bass was perfectly cooked, melt in your mouth with a seared crust. Hubby's salmon was cooked medium and he was very happy with it. The only reason he wasn't in the clean plate club with us was that he had a lot of pasta with his dish, enough for another meal. Dessert - we had double chocolate cake (super rich), tiramisu (ladyfingers were not as espresso-soaked as I'm used to, but the creamy & light mascarpone was delightful), and cheesecake with raspberry sauce (one of the best he's had). This was our first time, but we will definitely be back! Parking is a little challenging but worth the hassle. Give this place a go the next time you're feeling peckish for pizza or pasta or pesce! I visited Gregorios Trattoria restaurant for the first time on a Thursday lunch hour. The service was a bit slow but adequate which is understandable due to the current employee shortage environment. The waitress recommended a few entrees to our group and they all turned out very tasty, Frutti Di Mare and Steak Florentina, just to name a few. Came here on Valentine's Day, good thing we made a reservation because the place was PACKED. We soon learned why because the food was *chef's kiss* I got the Penne Vodka and David got the Short Rib Risotto. There were about five other things I wanted to try (SIGH) such as the carbonara, lasagna etc. Why did they have to make everything look so good? We also ordered the calamari as an appetizer and flourless chocolate cake for dessert. It was SO much food but man was it worth it! HUUUUUGE portion sizes as you can probably tell from other photos. Calamari: Crispy, not too much breading, although just a TAD on the salty side. Penne Vodka: MUST TRY! I was blown away. Didn't think it could be that good but it was. Also wasn't sure if I would like something that didn't have "quantifiable" meat such as meatball, ground veal, only slices of prosciutto, but I wasn't missing the meat in the end. The sauce was perfectly tomatoey but also creamy (I don't like sauces that are too strong on the tomato). I ended up eating maybe 1/3 or the plate because there was just so much and that dang appetizer and garlic knots got me. Highly recommend. Short Rib Risotto: We were both surprised when this came out because usually risottos have a cream base, but this one appeared to have a tomato base (tomato risotto?) but after we tried it, still WOW. David felt there were a lot of vegetables but I didn't mind. The short rib was SO TENDER, SO FLAVORFUL, it was sooo satisfying. Flourless Chocolate Cake: Had to pick between this one and the double chocolate cake, I thought the other one sounded too decadent but this one ended up being very decadent as well. Not a bad thing, but its definitely for a chocolate lover! I do love chocolate but maybe I'll try a different dessert next time. Overall, it was easy to give it a 5 star review. The service was also great that day despite a full house, someone came around to us and asked us how our meal was and made us laugh. We can't wait to come back!!! (It'll be very soon) read more

A few months ago, we went to Gregorio's for a celebration dinner with our family. I hadn't previously been there, and we enjoyed a nice dinner in a lively busy atmosphere. For that visit alone, I'd rate this a 4, good food, a little pricey but large portions, and attentive service. The fifth star is for the catering. We entertained about 30 people for a teen birthday party at home. We ordered a large meal of roasted chicken, mashed potatoes, and asparagus. We also ordered a medium baked ziti and 3 extra large margherita pizzas. The portions were very generous, and included garlic knots and breadsticks. I've never seen teenagers so happily eat roasted chicken. The food was very impressive and a fantastic value. The asparagus was commented on over and over, as it was perfectly cooked. I am not a bad home cook, but I can't seem to get asparagus to ever cook that well, much less so well that one would transport it to a house and it would still be fantastic 2 hours later. The chicken was perfect, each piece a comparably sized quarter. We did move the food into different serving platters, but it was packaged nicely enough that it can be served in the tins for presentation. We will happily recommend Gregorio's and it's catering to friends and family, and of course hope to have a good reason to order catering from them again. read more

Pizza is a 1/10- the sauce the cheese-- a cross between bad taste and tasteless. Penne a la vodka and Mozzetta sticks were great -- but cream based and fried based dishes usually can be tasty. Though the fried zucchini was over battered and not delicate-- so overpowered the zucchini-- another item that went to waste. Ambience leaves a lot to be desired . The parking lot is chaotic. Lots of construction going on and cars unclear on who has the right of way. Pedestrians, even if they're jaywalking. I picked up food for takeout. I ordered a caprese dish and a Greek salad. Food was ready by the time I got there but I had ordered about 40 minutes prior. The caprese was a good portion but tasted only mediocre, nothing to wow-worthy. The Greek salad was tasty, and balsamic vinaigrette punched up the otherwise feta-heavy salad. Sat outside during the week. Definitely seems like a locals place and the other tables were pretty loud. Food was absolutely delicious five star, but throughout the night, our service continued to deteriorate. While the restaurant was not crowded, our waitress seemed to be hanging around inside and was checking on us less and less.... to the point where we were done and had to ask a bus boy to send out our waitress. When she came out, she asked about coffee and dessert and we said we were interested but the feeling passed. All said, I will definitely give it another try, but if you are working for tips, try to earn it a little. It's not like she was busy, she was just disinterested. As best as I could tell, the manager never made a pass outside either during the time we were there. We all have a restaurant we call when life is busy or the day has been long and the idea of putting a pot of water on the stove is enough to break you down in tears. For some, their choice is a fast casual place. For others, it's a local pub - if you're lucky enough to have one. For my family, it's Gregorio's. Since discovering Gregorio's in 2019, we have been ordering delivery and pickup at least monthly. On a rare occasion after a reasonable work week, we'll actually dine in. Regardless of the mode of delivery from their kitchen to our plates, the food is always delicious. Time and again, we've tried a new pizza place or decided that the new Italian restaurant is worth a try, only to bemoan having not ordered from Gregorio's while waiting for our food from said new place, or meticulously compared the marinara sauce to Gregorio's or longed for the Gregorio's salad with bacon while eating another place's mediocre Caesar. Gregorio's is our comfort food. As McDreamy and I both hail from Italian American families, our standards are high. But we place higher value on well seasoned food prepared with care than on fancy pasta shapes or elaborate dish presentations. Gregorio's reminds us of home where the meatballs taste like our grandmothers' rather than something out of a TikTok-inspired cookbook. The chicken Marsala repeatedly has us swallowing our tongue as my grandmother would say and the vodka sauce is simple perfection. When we choose delivery direct from the restaurant, the online ordering is super easy with past orders queued for repeat selection. The driver is always friendly and barring traffic usually arrives a bit before the estimated wait time. When we choose to pick up our order, the staff is friendly despite the restaurant often being beyond busy. Dine in is also good; we just have to remember to get there early on a Friday night, which usually isn't a problem because we are hungry. We recently tried to order from another pizza place only to find they'd shut down the service for the night (at 5:30!) We ordered pickup from Gregorio's instead and all exclaimed how ridiculous it had been to even attempt the other place. Gregorio's pizza can be as simple or as full of toppings, as you'd like. The crust is doughy but not overly substantial. For our family, several personal size pizzas and a few shared salads result in full bellies, happy tastebuds, and a no-stress evening. So now that I've proclaimed our love for Gregorio's, it is doomed. One by one, we have watched our local favorites close in favor of new, trendier, higher rent , higher price, lower food quality restaurants. So go to Gregorio's. Give them a try. Return for more (like we do.) Keep our local favorites in business and enjoy the delicious food. read more

Wow! Where do I start? Been here a couple of times and always get welcomed with open arms as if it's my own home. On my first try I met wonderful waiter by the name of Scott. He pulled all the punches and told me about the place, the food, how everyone that stops in are regulars. I could tell the clientele was all families, or folks that have been coming there for a long time. A lot of them were greeted on first name basis. You don't see this very much. I found it to be very special. Now on to the food! When you first sit down you get a basket full of fresh baked bread. Long bread, garlic knots, small rolls, the works. It arrives nice and warm out of the oven sort of speak. Yummy!! On my first visit I was dying to try the soup. So I asked Scott which one he recommended. He told me to try both. That often folks request the minestrone and the other soup they have mixed into one. So I did that. Wow so fresh and delicious. Like grandma just made it. You will notice I was so hungry I even forgot to take a picture until almost the very end. The entree portions are very big that I always end up taking them home. I ordered the chicken Francese with side of pasta. I got three large cutlets. I could only eat 1 and took rest home. The next day my dish tasted even better. Since I was new to this place Scott was kind enough to bring me dessert on the house. So I was able to try the tiramisu. It was not overly filled with mascarpone and it was nice a fluffy. It was a great closer to my first time there. On another visit I sat at the bar and met Donald the owner and erik the bartender. Very welcoming like Scott has been the time before that. They kept me company and we chatted about the area as I had a glass of wine before heading home. I also got to try the vegetable pizza. Thin crust and very delicious. It was pipping hot and it just smelled wonderful. I look forward to returning for many more friendly and delicious meals here! I think I've found my favorite go to Italian place.
