I wish I could give them a 0. I saw this place on Maps and I looked at more reviews on Yelp and the website...it seemed like a great place so my friend and I gave it a try! When we went there today, on the door it said "Walk-Ins Welcome!" But when we said we wanted to get a full set of acrylics, they told us it'd be a 35-45 minute wait. Because of that we walked around Clay Terrace and finally once it was past that time we came back. The same people were still sitting there, it seemed like they didn't have much left to do. We kept on waiting, picked out a nail color, and they still hadn't seated us. The workers never said anything to us, I guess they expected us to wait longer. After we weren't told anything and have been waiting for over one hour, we walked out. Only when we were halfway out of the salon, a lady yelled "I'm sorry!" at us. We felt disappointed and unhappy because none of the workers told us how much longer we'd need to wait. They seated more people before, even though we've been waiting for such a long time. Some of the employees weren't even working on other clients. They were behind the cashier desk stalling for no reason. Walked in there at 4:20 for a gel manicure, I have no gel or any color that would need removed and they literally said "we're closed"! Wow. I told the guy their sign says they close at 5... he said no, it's Sunday, we're closed after the pedicure he was working on! All while a lady who worked there was hanging out in a chair watching TV! Spend your money in businesses where they actually want you, and treat you as such! read more

I have been to this place a couple times now. They were great the first couple times but I just went today and one of my worst experiences at a nail place. I went in and they said they would be with me in a minute and sat me within a couple minutes which was great. Then I sit down and ten minutes in another customer came in and the girl working on my nails got up walked away. She went and helped that person and didn't say a word to me. Then a 16yr old girl came over that worked there and didn't say one word to me the whole time and did an awful job on my nails. I would have done them better myself left handed. She kept messing up and fixing it which is fine but then she tried to leave the mess of nail polish on my hands. Then I asked her to take it off and she used the cuticle nail cutter and only got some of it off taking my skin with it. I will never go back. read more

Good manicure prep (cuticles and paraffin) but poor polish application. After 2 coats I just assumed a third would be applied because of how streaky it was... but a top coat was put on. I asked for a third coat and it was done over the top coat and the manager was not happy that I needed three coats! My manicurist didn't speak any English so had no idea what I was saying. My mom and I were trying to find a place to get our nails done and the place we usual go to was full. I called around trying to find a place that had room for walkins. The lady who picked up the phone was super rude and was condescending when I asked if there was any open spots. Glad I didn't go because we found our new favorite nail salon. read more

I would give this nail salon 0 stars if I could. My friend and I walked into this salon and the people working were very rude and stand offish. They didn't even ask what we wanted to do with our nails, they told us to pick a color and sit down and did not direct us to which seats they wanted us to sit at or where the nail polish was. They assumed we wanted pedicures, and once we told them we wanted manicures they said they didn't have time for us and made us feel very uncomfortable and awkward as we walked out. The salon was very cluttered and small there was hardly even a front desk. Overall, the workers were rude and unhelpful and the salon is overwhelmingly crammed. Don't waste your money here!! Even if our manicures would have turned out great, the awkward, rude, and uncomfortable environment would not be worth it. I will never be returning or recommending this salon to anyone read more

I had dip nails done on Friday By Monday, 2 nails were peeling and 3 were cracked. I went back in and they were willing to redo the nails, but I just wanted a refund. Normally I am happy to have a repair done, but my experience on Friday was terrible. The tech kept running the file drill over my fingers (not just nail). I asked her to stop and she said 'You don't feel it'. She then used the hand file in the same way. By the end of the appointment, my hands HURT!!! I also had dried dip powder all over my hands that I had to remove at home. I thought she was an inexperienced tech and just learning. Today I learned that she is the manager !! I told the younger girls at the spa that I was unhappy and they were apologetic, but they did not offer a discount. Today I asked for my money back and they refused. They only give credit. I really do not want to visit here again. She said to give it as a gift if I didn't want to come back. She became louder and louder, despite me asking her to lower her voice around the other customers. I have a call into Sony (maybe the owner). Hopefully he will make amends and I update this review. read more

Just awful!!!! All of my nails were a different shape!! They also had dents in them from uneven polish. The owner took no time on my nails, and rushed!! My fill in and replaced nails were done in 30 minutes!!! She was also very rough! Never again!! read more

Very odd experience. I walked in and this one lady started my manicure, and then I was told to get up and switch seats so the owner can do my manicure. 1st off, she didn't even bring my towel to the next table, she has a used DIRTY towel already on that table that I refused to put my hands on. Then the 2nd manicurist gets up and this other one comes in to finish my manicure. The First Lady cut my cuticle and I started bleeding and she had to disinfect my finger. The last lady was shaking and couldn't even paint my nails. The polish chipped the next morning. Mind you they didn't even have their nail dryers plugged in, and there was so much dust in that place. I have gone to many nail salons, but Greyhound Nails is by far my favorite. They are very friendly and I have never had a rude nail stylist. The place is clean and they have good prices. They have a really good variety of colors including gel colors. Vickie and her staff always do an amazing job on my nails. I mainly just do walk-ins at this salon and even when they are busy they are willing to accommodate me. There are many nail salons in the Carmel, IN area, but Greyhound Nails does not compare to any others. read more

i went to this salon to get an acrylic fill and they gave me the wrong color after telling them multiple times that it was the wrong color then got polish all over my fingers. they were rude and then they insisted on putting chunky sparkles on my nails when i did not ask for them. read more

I didn't have an appointment but walked in @ 6:15pm. I was seated right away for a gel manicure. Chose my color twice because they didn't have the first one I chose, and my fingers were wrapped in foil. Then my technician walked away, starting a pedicure on another client. It Became apparent she wasn't returning. At 6:40 I removed my own foils & scraped my own polish off. Another technician came in, I'm guessing returning from her dinner break. She sat down and I told her I didn't have time for a manicure. Please just change the polish. As she was working I reminded her all I wanted a polish. She put on one base coat, 2 color coats and 1top coat, not even leaving my hands under the drying machine 30 seconds between coats. I would not take my hand out after the topcoat was put on until 60 seconds went by for each hand. She waited for me. She wiped my fingers with an alcohol swab and said she was finished. The kicker was when I went to pay she charged me $30. I questioned her twice, reminding her that it was only a polish change. Being a salon I have never been to, I was stuck. The work was less than professional. The time taken with me was ridiculously short. Cost was arbitrary. Being a salon in Clay Terrace I expected better work, and definitely better service. I don't usually take time to write a review but the salon was so disappointing and so below par I felt it important to post my service experience. read more
