today i tried ordering over the phone my free bday messy sundae. i got an email about it. so last week i called your restaurant and spoke to employee chris. i asked chris would i be able to take this to go" chris says " we prefer you dine in, but my manager actually let a lady take hers to go today so you should be fine". so today on june 23rd, around 1130am i call and try to place the order. it was not chris who answered, some other guy i assumed was the manager on duty? he said " well we prefer you dine in, but since it's not busy, you can take it to go". he asked me what else to order. i say nothing else just that. he then made the biggest stink that i had to purchase another item in order to redeem the free sundae. can i tell you no where in the email, let alone when tou you actually log into your account does it say you need to make a purchase. the guy would not budge..what a way to ruin something for my birthday!! red lobster, mimis cafe, bjs restaurant and brew house all let you order your bday desserts with no purchase required ...why cant you guys be like them? anyway again thanks for ruining by bday... im also a yelp reviewer and will be putting this on yelp as well. i would like a message to discuss... read more

Sammy's located on green.l valley parkway in Henderson. Stopped in tonight for dinner and ordered a New York pizza and some dumplings. Pizza arrived hot and delicious, but before the appetizer???? Cmon, that's bush league. Server was decent, but kinda terrible with refills on the drinks. Sammys always has good food and the service is always good too. They have a happy hour from 3-6pm which I've tried before and has some good deals on drinks and food. Tonight's visit was good, I just would've appreciated the appetizer before the meal and better service on the drink refills. Especially with spicy pizza. read more

On Mother's Day (May 10, 2026), my mother called at 2pm and asked a staff member point-blank: do we need a reservation for 3 adults and 1 child at 5:30? He said no, just come in. So we did. We arrived at 5:30 and that same employee told us it was a 45-minute wait. No apology. No acknowledgment that he had told us the exact opposite four hours earlier. Nothing. We had a 6-year-old who was hungry and cranky. We walked out. We spent the next half hour frantically calling restaurants on Mother's Day -- a holiday -- and ended up in a smoky bar because it was the only place that could take us. That is what this restaurant's carelessness cost us. What makes this unacceptable isn't just the wait -- it's that someone made a specific promise in response to a direct question and then acted like it never happened. No ownership. No effort to make it right. Complete indifference to what they had caused. This is genuinely a shame because we are regular customers. The food is good and my daughter actually loves it here. But a service failure this inexcusable -- on Mother's Day, after an explicit promise -- is not something we can overlook. We won't be back. Do not trust verbal commitments from this staff. Greeted and seated right away. This was on Father's Day. Customer service was great and it's very open with huge windows and beautiful scenery(landscaping) to take in. My husband ordered the duck tacos which were good. I wish they were with soft corn tortillas instead of crunchy shells. We also ordered a Greek salad with 1/2 a chicken breast, lamb chops and the ube cheesecake for dessert. Everything was presented beautifully and tasted delish! It took a long time to come out and it was warm at best when we got it, despite the long wait. The pineapple slices were very thin. It was not worth it in my opinion. Always good here. When available I like to sit on the open outdoor vibe side with couches and open space. The only problem was that with snort staffing we got put right between the only two tables that had anyone sitting on that side of the building. Overall I always have a great experience at Sammy's and they have a great happy hour until 6pm. I also appreciate that they split the gaming side vs the restaurant/bar which is nice so I don't have to deal with gaming machines at the bar. Rachel is usually the bartender here and she's super nice and personable, even when the bar is very busy. Their appetizers are all very good here and perfect for sharing. I usually get one of the pizzas but opted for the potstickers and a salad this time. The raspberry martini is my favorite happy hour too! The crowd skews an older crowd that lives in this area. If you're looking for a younger more lively crowd, this probably isn't the place for you but worth giving a try. read more

This restaurant is 2 for 2 now on service and food. It's now become a regular for us. They only had one waitress working at the time we dined and she was on it. Very friendly and attentive at all times. We had the bottomless brunch for $25 a person and they accommodated us by giving us pineapple instead of just orange juice. Everything look good but my go to is bbq chicken pizza. Literally SO DELICIOUS!! Perfectly amount of sauce (sometimes it's overpowering) perfect about of onions, cheese was perfectly melted. Oh!! I would go on about this pizza. 12/10! The flat iron steak was so/so. 7.3/10. The steak was tender, but not chewy! I could taste the "burnt" plus there was not a hint of flavor, wished that there was .. The pair of French fries where chefs kiss and honestly the best thing on the plate to eat. Their churros must have been added. (Side note: they're known for their messy sundae) decided not to try this time. The size and shape was the perfect amount for two to share. The condense milk was perfect, not too sweet. The ice cream you could tell it was store bought. Overall score 8/10 I preferred their decor from years before. Our recent date night was at Sammy's Restaurant & Bar, nestled on the corner of Green Valley and Pebble in Henderson. Hence the name, Sammy's has two sections inside - a family-friendly restaurant and a 24/7 bar/gaming area where I believe smoking is permitted. We don't like smoky areas in bars/restaurants, so we got a table in their dining room next to the window overlooking Pebble. I learned this visit that Sammy's is a sister restaurant to Toasted Gastrobrunch, a breakfast/brunch restaurant that I visited during an Elite Event last year (by the way, go there if you haven't yet). I studied the interior a bit while we were waiting to be seated. They have a bin for unopened toys to support the Toys For Tots toy drive and they have a sign that says bottomless mimosas coming soon. Their dining area is pretty cozy, with a nonsmoking bar in the center and comfortable couches that you can sit on. For appetizers, we shared a plate of garlic bread, which was in the shape of a pizza. This was some yummy garlic bread right here and I ended up helping my boyfriend finish the entire thing. The garlic bread was very cheesy and there was also a hint of extra cheesiness on the crust. For entrees, I ordered a garlic shrimp pizza and my boyfriend ordered a wagyu cheeseburger with fries on the side. At first I wanted to try the tacos, but I changed my mind and stuck with the pizza instead. I wasn't expecting my pizza to be so big and I had to take it back with me as leftovers because I couldn't finish the entire thing in one sitting. The wagyu cheeseburgers came as sliders, in which there were three total. The toppings were served on the side, in which my boyfriend put them on himself. I've been coming to Sammy's the last few years. There's not a bar/restaurant in Henderson with the amazing staff that Sammy's has. Bartenders are top notch, every time. Servers are top notch, every time. Great regulars. I think I'm going to stop giving this place my business. The last two times I came here, I witnessed the owner come in and treat the staff like absolute shit. The current staff is literally the only reason regulars exist. Food and beverage were great. We went as a group of 10 and they were unable to do separate checks or checks for couples. This matters if some of the group are not drinking alcohol. Probably one of my favorite neighborhood happy hours in Vegas... well, technically Henderson for this location. From 3p-6p, it's half off shareables, making plates as low as $6 to about $9.25. Such a steal in this day and age. I recommend the MEDITERRANEAN DIP SAMPLER, which comes with 3 different dips and flatbread, and the CHICKEN LETTUCE CUPS, light enough to not get too full. And it's Sammy's, so you can't go wrong with any of their pizzas -- I personally go for their MARGHERITA PIZZA. As for drinks, it's $2 off beer and wine during happy hour. However, why do that when you can indulge in half off on their signature cocktails? That's right. They have something for everyone, from manhattans to martinis. Down to those trendy aperol spritzes. My favorite cocktail is their MOJITO, which nicely complements an afternoon outing. Gentle buzz. Ambiance is airy and coastal, with an abundance of natural lighting. Think wicker chairs and cushions. A skylight serves as the main room's centerpiece, along with modern lighting fixtures and greenery. Sometimes service can be slow. My last visit wasn't even during happy hour, it was for a group dinner. The server was nowhere to be found at one point and our drinks weren't refilled. I chose the OAK ROASTED CHICKEN BREAST, which to me just tasted dry and burnt. I wouldn't pick that again. For dessert, their MESSY SUNDAE lives up to its name. In fact, sharing is caring -- it's enough to share with the table. Pro tip: buy gift cards at the warehouses (ex: Costco) These can't be used during happy hour, but it can save you money during regular dinner. read more

The restaurant side of the restaurant appeared to be busy but the bar side had only one table with people. The remaining tables were empty as well as all of the booths. We figured, no problem. After 15 min the bartender finally came and we thought we'd be seated. However, he said there was a large party and there would be a 45 min wait. I visited this restaurant tonight and want to recognize an outstanding server, Abbie. She was attentive, professional, and genuinely kind throughout our meal. She handled our table with care, kept everything moving smoothly, and created a welcoming experience that stood out. Unfortunately, partway through service she stepped away briefly and returned visibly upset after an interaction with the owner. It was difficult to watch someone who had been doing such an excellent job be treated in a way that left her shaken. As a customer, that moment changed the tone of the evening. Strong front-of-house staff are the backbone of any restaurant, and Abbie is clearly one of them. I hope management recognizes the value she brings and ensures that team members are treated with basic professionalism and respect. No employee who is serving guests well should have to endure that kind of treatment during a shift. I would return because of the service Abbie provided. I would hesitate because of what I witnessed from ownership. I hope this is taken seriously. read more

Our server today I have had before alas I didn't get her name, she never rushes us, always polite and she must have a police officer in her life as she wears a mini badge necklace.... I had my usual which I clearly adore, the Basalmic, chicken, blue cheese & walnut salad individual portion. We came for happy hour (everyday 4-6pm) and Sammy's did not disappoint. Lots on the menu and surprisingly lots on the happy hour menu! We ordered several pizzas (my favorite was the Tuscan), drinks (yes, even house cocktails are half-price during HH #mindblown), and a couple apps, to include the med dips, taquitos, and truffle fries. All were absolutely delicious. Our server, Rory, was a fun addition and brought a great energy to our group's shenanigans. Comfortable and cozy, Sammy's vibe is versatile enough for a casual night, date night, or brunch with the girls. The comfortable couch seats added to the coziness; we could've stayed for hours. First time here, and everything I had was delicious! We started with lettuce wraps, cooked octopus, and truffle fries for the table, and everything was great! I am such a fan of truffle fries, my only complaint is I had to share them with 4 other people! I then had the Alfredo with shrimp, and it was pretty great. Not the best I've had, but the shrimp was cooked well and there was a decent amount, and the dish was creamy and cheesy and everything you want in an Alfredo. I found this gem via the Star rating on Yelp, (and it offered up a free Caesar's Salad if an equal priced item was ordered), as I wanted to try something different nearby. It's hidden somewhat, but those in the offices nearby probably come here as it's in easy walking distance. Very delightful decor and the large windows in one of the main dining areas offer up a setting in the trees to relax the soul. The background music was enjoyable and not overpowering so that I could actually carry on a conversation without yelling. The bar is a place I would feel comfortable going in solo as it is tastefully integrated into the dining space. I had the Lobster Bisque and the Caesars Salad with an Ice Tea. The Bisque was perfect! I would not have that much shaved cheese on top next time (sometimes less is more), but shared it with my dining friend as her Cobb salad was lacking in Feta. She did comment that the crispy Prosciutto was to die for! Our waitress, Meg was exemplary! She took care of us beautifully and in a timely, unrushed manner. The menu is full of unique offerings and will be sure to come back again. Service: 5 Stars Ambiance: 5 Stars Food: 4.5 Stars Bathrooms: 2 Stars - Accessible for handicapped though it's a bit tight at entry door for wheelchair. I actually went to our waitress to ask if the toilets were clogged, as every single one of them was backed up, and I didn't want to create more of a mess if they overflowed. She said that they do flush but that they needed many flushes. ... It took 6 ft flushes to just use the toilet and then another 5 flushes after I used it. ( I can't see this working smoothly during Happy Hour when everyone will be more inclined to use the toilet "facilities"...) They need to fix this... please get a good plumber. read more

This evening I went to Sammy's and was having a lovely time with friends until our server was reprimanded by the owner. We thought it was uncalled for as everything was fine until that happened. Our server was doing an excellent job continually coming by to see if everything was fine, taking our orders and filling them promptly. Making our experience a turn towards the worse was the fact that our server was treated so poorly. It was awkward and uncalled for. Her name is Abbie and she did a great job.
