Fried Chicken & Waffle

First time here to celebrate the double basketball for 12U and 14U championship game for Phoenix Elite from Sun Valley, Los Angeles. Carlos, Oscar, Emliy, and Osiris and all the staff is the best and so accomodating. We have a huge party but the accomodated all our orders correctly and everybody is happy. Will come back here. Thank you Griddlecake!

Came just after the breakfast rush and had my choice of seats. The handful of others were all chatting quietly and the music, along with the decor or plants and welcoming sayings made it feel homey and comforting. The waiter came over right away to take the order and offered a couple beverage suggestions. the French toast was fluffy and perfect partnered with the warm syrup. Even when one guest had a concern about the cook on their bacon, the wait staff made it right immediately. I will definitely be back.

Californian skillet: house potatoes, bacon, cheese, chicken, over medium eggs and avocado

The Griddle Cake is exactly what you want for a tasty Sunday family brunch. Their menu has everything: good coffee, pancakes, French toast, skillets, omelettes- all the classics done right. Osiris was our waitress and took care of us from beginning to end. Her recommendations were spot on, and every plate we ordered was delicious. The grilled sandwich and the soup were so good I wished I had ordered more. The Californian skillet was cooked exactly how I like it, and the avocado really elevates it. The French toast was another hit- fluffy, sweet, and perfectly cooked. The ambiance is warm and family‑friendly. Me and my family were able to enjoy great conversation over delicious food. The rest of the staff was just as nice- Carlos was great too. A solid brunch spot with great food, great service, and a welcoming vibe.

The personnel are great. Osiris always has good food suggestions, is attentive, and smiling. Food is amazing, and the pancakes are soft and fluffy The French toast is just the right sweet treat you need for dessert!

We had a wonderful time here! We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty crowded but we were sat pretty quickly and served quickly as well. Our service was quick and efficient and they kept our drinks full. The place was pretty open and bright with a loud Sunday brunch atmosphere but we felt well taken care of. We shared a red velvet pancake for the table which was unbelievably delicious, very rich and sweet and good to share, then we each ordered our own hashes with potatoes and eggs. I had the Greek hash and it had great flavors, the over easy eggs were cooked perfectly, and overall it was a great experience. Definitely recommend if you're in the area and in the mood for brunch or lunch!

I know it's summertime, but it was really warm inside. Perhaps the AC was down. The service was ok, nothing special. The French Toast was delicious and I enjoyed the Build Your Own Omelette. The interior is simple, while calming country music played in the background. Overall, a good experience.

Garden Griddle

Hands down the BEST Fresh and delicious Garden Skillet I have ever had. LOVED it!! The biscuit and gravy were alright... I felt like I got tricked with the Razzle Dazzle because the pancakes tasted like lemon blueberry and when I looked at the pancake, there were blueberries in it of which I don't think was supposed to be the base pancake cuz nothing says blueberries in the Razzle Dazzle description. It was ok...I was hoping for a more white chocolate raspberry taste. My son had the jackpot. He said it was good but said he would get the Garden griddle the next time...it was the BEST thing there. The service was good. They were nice and had great suggestions. The ambiance was ok, nothing fancy. I would go back for the Griddle if anything but would pass on the pancakes. 1 plus is that they do offer a military discount. It's worth a try.

Churro waffle and chicken and waffles
Vanessa H.

The service was quick and staff were nice but unfortunately the food was bland and underwhelming. I honestly expected the food to taste a lot better than it actually did. The churro waffle tasted like a buñuelo/funnel cake instead of a waffle, the eggs and sausage were slightly undercooked.

Worst eggs Benedict I've ever had

So I had high hopes for this place going in because the pictures looked good on the reviews, I was curious about the low stars but now I completely understand why. First off the price for their Eggs Benedict is way to high even if it was good, the hollandaise sauce was watery and had no taste at all, I have had eggs Benedict at many places and this was by far the worst. Second I always gauge a breakfast place by their gravy and biscuits because I have never found a biscuit I didn't like until now. I wouldn't even call this gravy I was more like gray matter with no taste as well. The waffle was no different than anywhere else and the bacon was not crispy at all. As much as I see the businesses in the area turn around and fail, I see this one not being in business much longer. Prices are way too high for the food quality when the food is below subpar .

The Eggs and bacon added to the cakes.

Service was ok 4/5 but the from the time of order to the time received wasn't too bad. Food, although these griddle cakes were so tasty, will opt to have my blueberry compote on the side. They tasted good. My eggs were cooked just how I asked for them. The only thing I would like to mention is that they are going to charge more money for eggs as they should. They changed their menu's to accommodate the egg shortage. The ambiance was a bit on the noisy side today but it can change according to the group of people there. Today I happen to sit two very chatty ladies. Was not in the mood my self to hear their personal issues they were discussing. But I didn't judge the place based on my experience with these customers as they have no control of their behavior.

Ace Benedict

Awesome breakfast place!! Food, service and prices are great! Love the decor. Ace Benedict and blue jay pancakes are my favorite. Just moved to centennial hills and glad we found this place here. Loved the location in Henderson, and this location is just as good. Must try! Highly recommend.

Nice little breakfast/lunch spot close to my home! Fast, friendly service! Clean restaurant with lots of fresh dishes on the menu! I had a blt with french fries and it was fantastic! It was loaded with crispy bacon and fresh tomato and lettuce!! Fries were perfectly crispy! We'll definitely be back to try out some of the other dishes and speciality pancakes!!

The food here is incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious - but they really need to step up their dishwashing and make sure the food is served hot. There's nothing worse than ordering coffee and seeing purple lipstick on the rim of your cup. It makes you want to leave right away. Then comes the inner debate - do you say something and risk being that customer, or just wipe it off and move on? On top of that, getting food that's supposed to be hot but arrives cold is frustrating. You sit there wishing you were at home where you could just microwave it - because the food is that good and would taste even better at the right temperature. Our experience wasn't helped by our waiter, who seemed disinterested after the lipstick incident (same guy mentioned in previous reviews that comes off rude AF/ agreed!). We didn't feel like asking for much after that. On the bright side, one of the waitresses was amazing - she looked like she was carrying the whole place. The chef clearly knows what she's doing because the food coming out of the kitchen was fantastic. That said, attention needs to be paid to cleanliness and serving hot food. There's no excuse for that. Despite these issues, I gave it five stars because the problems are fixable and don't take away from how incredible the food is. For reference, we visited on Friday, January 3rd, in the morning. There was a nearby parking structure and no wait time. The decor is a mix of farm-to-table and modern bistro - nothing overly exciting or disappointing. We were just looking for a good brunch spot, and this place is truly a hidden gem. Hopefully, they address the concerns we mentioned because it's worth coming back for! __________ To the Chef, Your food is incredible - truly Michelin-worthy. However, the staff is serving it cold and sometimes on dirty dishes. This isn't the first review mentioning these issues. Also, the tall white guy with grey hair was incredibly condescending and rude. Hospitality doesn't seem to be the right fit for him. It's disappointing to see someone like that representing the amazing work and love you pour into your dishes. On the flip side, the waitress with long brown hair was picking up the slack and holding the place together. She deserves recognition - maybe even a promotion. I hope you see this because if the team can consistently serve food hot and on clean dishware, this place could easily become the top brunch spot around. We appreciate your talent and hope this feedback is helpful! - Vee & Mike

It has a rustic, darker ambiance and not your usual bright and sunny brunch spots. The menu not too big, but offered enough varieties that we decided to try the biscuit and gravy as well as the corned bee hash. We also got house coffee and they were from mother ship coffee. Food came out quickly, but they were lukewarm and felt like it was already made and just put under a food light to be kept warm. The biscuit was good and soft, but the gravy was a little too salty. The corned beef came in a smaller portion than I expected, and the beef was diced too thin that they didn't have great texture and flavor. Coffee was good, but overall food was not as good as we'd expect. Service was average, the waitress was nice but didn't offer much service besides bringing out initial water and coffee over. No one really checked in on us after the food was served. I'd most likely not be back as there are many other brunch places in the downtown area to explore.

We were enjoying the music and it was a vibe until it came to pay the bill. At 9:30 PM, a full 30 minutes before the posted closing time of 10:00 PM, the staff began rushing us out while my wife was still eating. When it came time to pay our bill, our bank cards were temporarily unavailable due to a system outage. We had the money. This was not a financial issue. It was a technical one we were actively working to resolve. Instead of being given a moment, security surrounded our table and treated us as though we were attempting to leave without paying. We were not. We never attempted to leave. I want to note that a couple of the security members were actually kind and professional throughout. A manager then approached with immediate hostility white male, tattoos, wearing a white crop shirt, and beige pants) no introduction, and no interest in hearing our explanation. I want to Emphasize That everyone working there refused to give me his name (white male) I even attempted to ask him and he walked away. He made demeaning remarks about our finances and specifically told us that if we didn't pay, he would call the police and trespass us, but if we paid, he would not. We paid. My brother sent $30 via Zelle directly to a security staff member to settle the bill. It was paid in full. He called the police anyway. And trespassed us anyway. I had offered to leave my ID as collateral, leave card information on file, or return the next morning. Every offer was refused before we even got to that point. The responding officers acknowledged his behavior was inappropriate. His own staff was visibly uncomfortable. Unless you are prepared to be treated as a suspect over something completely outside your control, I would think twice before dining here.

Bacon Nation slaps slices on just about everything but French toast, and even that can be topped with bacon butter and bacon-infused syrup. The build-your-own omelet is a worthy breakfast, stuffed with two veggies and two meats of your choice. Cheddar, diced onion, and two types of bacon inside three eggs was a winner. Be sure to get some thick bacon slices to go (mango habanero, maple glazed, honey-cured) - always nice to chew on during that nine hour Sunday evening drive back to SoCal. And unlike those anorexic slices that fast food places put on their burgers, you can actually taste this bacon. Open 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., they serve lunch too and if you're in 'growling stomach mode', try the Boarrito but be forewarned - this is a pork-fest of a monstrosity that's not designed for consumption by weight watchers or thoroughbred jockeys. A large tortilla filled with ham, sausage, bacon crumbles, pulled pork, guacamole, sour cream, and pico de gallo is then wrapped on the outside with countless slices of more bacon, smothered with cheese sauce and sour cream...now I need to take a nap just thinking about digesting it. It's a massive meal and I feel like the waitress could have positioned me on all fours in front of a feeding trough in order to graze on it. Bacon Nation is located on the D's second floor inside a very clean and bright dining room with lots of booths, a counter, and an ultra-pleasant hostess named Angel. In summary, a well-earned 5 oink review is deserving because their food is that darn good. "Everywhere there's lots of piggies, living piggy lives.
