This place is absolutely amazing! You can taste how fresh everything is since its locally sourced. The menu has a nice assortment of american dishes and great wines, including WA winery Alexandria nichole. For the gourmet experience, the food/wine is very reasonably priced. The ambiance is small, cute, and quaint. We went on a busy Friday night and got right in, but the food did have a little bit of a wait, but so worth it. If you are in or passing through Enumclaw this is THE place you need to stop for a great meal and a fantastic experience with the staff. We started with the stuffed mushrooms and carrot soup and then my wife and Ingot the Gnocchi (and added chicken) and the bacon wrapped scallops. Both were made with care and expertise and above all, super tasty!! We finished off the meal with coconut pie (a MUST) and the cheesecake and carrot cake. We recently moved to Enumclaw, and have been so excited to try out all of the local places around here. We had heard so many wonderful things about Griffin & Wells so we made a point to visit tonight and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! The food was amazing! Hands down one of the best restaurants we've been to in a long time. I honestly think I'll be dreaming about the bbq hollandaise from the prawns! Stopped by for lunch, first time. Cute and very friendly. Sipped breakfast so we were pretty hungry. Shared steamed clams, great but always use more bread. My husband had the cheeseburger and chose the local raclette as the cheese, served with house made chips. I had chipotle shrimp and avacado sandwich, housemade bread and chips also. ATE EVERY DROP. Went here with some friends while waiting for the Haunted Woods at Maris Farms to open. I've never been to Enumclaw, and just stumbled across this place online when making plans for our fall adventure. Lucky us. One of my friends is already asking whether it's crazy to drive from Renton to Enumclaw just for a meal. The reviews are no joke! The food was great. All 4 of us had something different, and all 4 were wowed. It's a cozy place. Small, but it doesn't feel cramped. They do get pretty busy though, so it wouldn't be a bad idea to call ahead for a reservation. Appetizers: The mushrooms were the standouts. There were several mentions of wanting to lick the plate clean of the sauce they use. The fried avocado wasn't as life altering, but it was something different. The dipping sauce for that was also on point. Entrees: The scallops with the homemade pasta was perfect. The sauce, the texture, the pasta-all of it. 2 of my friends had the salmon and the chicken and both were impressed. The last of us has several dietary restrictions, and they happily worked with her to modify one of the dishes so she could eat it. Desserts: Coconut Pie....just say yes. We had it with one scoop of the Almond Joy and one scoop of vanilla buttermilk ice cream. I liked the vanilla best, especially when coupled with the pie. read more

Seems after reading the reviews the cook has a problem with proper seasoning of the food over salts the chicken and under seasons the burgers. I ordered the stuffed cheese burger with cheddar cheese. Very under seasoned and bland, it was the same with the inhouse prepared potato chips one I added some salt they were quite good. I would not recommend the burgers here and will try this again. read more

This place was lovely. They had no AC and the owner was all by herself doing takeout and cooking. She said we could sit at one of the tables outside and I am so glad we did. We had bacon wrapped dates with slivered almonds and goat cheese with a roasted red pepper sauce and shishito peppers stuffed with goat cheese and topped with Parmesan. Dan got a wild salmon niscoise salad and I had asked about a scallop dish that I saw online but they didn't have it in the menu so I chose a chimichuri shrimp dish over rice with seasonal veggies and when she brought it out, she had added some scallops to it for me. Griffin and Wells was a completely delightful experience. Every dish we ordered was delicious, the decour charming and the staff warm and helpful. Gluten free options were abundant and clearly marked (Gluten free calamari was spectacular and the gluten free carrot cake was marvelous too). My companions both had the burger, perfectly cooked to their specifications (medium rare and medium well). I ate the salmon niscoise salad and everything on the plate was cooked and seasoned to perfection. I have to say, a trip to Encumclaw just to eat at Griffin and Wells may very well be worth your time! And for those lucky enough to live there -- you're very lucky! read more

This place was awesome. Really unique menu, super nice server, and cute atmosphere. We made reservations on a Friday night and I'm glad we did because the place was packed and had a wait. For appetizers definitely get the bacon wrapped dates. For entrees the homemade gnocchi was delicious. I wish we had time for dessert, but we had an event to catch. After several days of burgers, our group was in the mood for more sophisticated fare. This restaurant hit the spot! To start, the owner was very warm and friendly. The garden salad was dressed with a delicious light vinaigrette. We enjoyed the BBQ pork and Cajun shrimp sandwiches. The mushroom sauce on the gnocchi was decadent but we found them slightly over-cooked. Service was friendly but slow. The owner made a mistake with one of our sides. I often find myself in Enumclaw around meal time and recently wanted to find some place fresh and new. I chose this place based on all the Yelp (and Goooooogle) reviews. From the reviews, I ready about the crispy calamari and stuffed cheese burgers, my mind was all but set on what I wanted to order. I met my friend there just in time to get the last available 'table'. Entering the business, the presentation was unique to any other place in Enumclaw; it has a pleasantly quaint welcoming decor that struck me as a bit 'fancy' or boutique-ish. We were seated at the small shelf/bar that was the window seat perfect for watching the comings & goings of downtown Enumclaw (all the table seating were filled). The bar/shelf we were seated at was sticky and because our seating was bar-style, our elbows and forearms were often resting on the bar and our clothing would stick to it. The menu items aligned with the boutique presentation - many had that extra 'fancy' twist; I was disappointed the calamari was no longer on the menu and the cheeseburgers were no longer 'stuffed'. I asked about the calamari, the waitress thought they actually had some, I ordered the calamari as an appetizer and the gorgonzola cheeseburger with fries w/ a cup of coffee. Got my coffee, then my burger and fries, then finally the calamari. The coffee was awesome! I always start with my fries because cold fries suck - too late, they were already cold; the burger was fresh - it appeared to be hand formed with a little bit of gorgonzola in center (not inside) of the burger and was tasty (I would have wanted a bit more gorgonzola). The bun had a kinda odd in texture and sauce was a little much, so I freed my burger - I had plenty of other carbs anyway. This is when I needed to ask our very polite waitress for some napkins and eating utensils. Then my calamari arrived, it was warm and crispy spotlighting the very tasty bbq aioli sauce. This appetizer came with something extra, a 4-5 inch long black hair (ugh) that I pulled from my mouth (eeeyew) and put on a separate napkin and placed it off to the side but in plain view for our waitress. My bill was ~$36+tip, nothing was said or done about the hair. I'm giving an extra star for the pleasant & polite staff and consideration as they were quite busy, but with the sticky table, cold fries and hairy calamari, I can't give any more stars. If I were to go back to this place it would be for the coffee, pleasant staff and perhaps I'd try a desert. read more

I got the NW steak salad and I thought it was awesome. The steak was cooked perfectly to how I wanted it (medium well) and it was nice thin slices. The dressing, arugula and walnuts were also really nice and fresh. The only thing was it didn't come with quite enough dressing so I asked for a little side of some more and it turned out perfect. read more
