I was a donor for a year till they did my second physical and when they compared my first physical to my second physical they didn't put down a tattoo I had on my kneecap and earrings I had years ago back in 2018. Your not supposed to get any new tattoos with 12 months which I'm aware of and I didn't. I showed pics and videos timed stamped years ago as evidence and still they couldn't because of protocol because they already put me under an unreliable donor I think is what they called. So I got booted out over a false technicality. The mangers and staff are very nice. The place is clean. And the pay rates are good. But all because of this stupid woman cheated me out of being a proud donor. Really messed up. Even the staff protested that they've seen my tattoo since I started donating . My husband has been to this location twice to sell plasma. He said the waits were always long, but more concerning is the people handling the donation seem inexperienced- and my husband regularly donates blood and platelets so he knows the drill. The last time he went he said the person inserted the needle incorrectly, it was incredibly painful, and he had a HUGE bruise covering the entirety of the inside of his elbow for a week. Plasma Vampires So I just donated this past Friday 1/29/21 at the location on 19th, I go to retrieve my funds on my card only to see they aren't there as usual. I contact them and they say my card is closed and to contact card services. I spoke to 3 departments and found out it was closed for fraud which makes no fucking sense because it's prepaid, I get BOA and the grifols lab tech on and they inform him it's on the donors location end. So I go back speak with a manager who says he can't do anything till Tuesday?!? I donated specialty plasma for 9 years, having had 2 recruiters in which I maintained wonderful relationships and the utmost respect for their abilities and professionalism. However, since Nathalie took over, it's been nothing but one frustration after another! Terrible communication was just the beginning of what evolved into a toxic end. Lies, avoiding setting appointments, and catty immature remarks when issues were addressed. The final straw was withholding my $300 mileage payment, creating her own rules of spiteful, petty power games, and trying to gaslight me by explaining it all ever so "sweetly" why I would never see that money. I'm heartbroken at the drastic change of what was a wonderful experience for almost a decade. im so sick and tired of being mistreated,disrespected, picked on, singeld out and demonstrated against be a staff member named (monica) at grifols plasma center 19255 vanowen st reseda ca 91335 who acts like a wanna be bully. i have made 3 written complaints on monica for her actions listed above with grifols and i have gotten no response from management or upper management. monica have been treating me tis way for almost a year and its really sad that someone trying to help out and make extra cash by giving there plasma has to feel any of the things i feel when i donate. its just so uncomfortable and nerve wrecking. she will even go as far as to talk about you in spanish to her coworker in front of you because she thinks i dont speak spanish and i do. monica has purposely delayed my donation prosses, purposely set my donation prosses to be uncomfortable. monica has taken me the first person to donate and seat me and then go set 5 other people up and stick them so they can start there donation and then come back to me to stick me so i can start. monica has also watched me come in earlier then other donners and finish before the same donners but has left me done sitting to go unhook donners that came after me and she dose this to me all the time. the needle literally hurt me when she finally come to pull it from my skin from now dried up blood. smh. whats even more disturbig is that as i complained to her manager today and another donner spoke up like she is pure evil and thats just flat out true. 100% .like i feel like i cant donate while she is there because im just doomed for sabotage. bbb please help read more

Clean, organized, courteous, communicative staff. I like Doreen and Ezekiel. There is also plentiful and safe parking right out front. If unfamiliar with Reseda, this is actually a decent area. Just know that you will have to wait a lot. Not just on your first visit when you do the screening, but on your return trips too. There is an app so that you can do the questionnaire at home and then scan in with your QR code to check in when you arrive and that helps a bit but I would recommend planning at least 4 hours the first time you go and at least 2 hours after that. Apparently Friday is the busiest day and other weekday mornings are best. read more

Until the day I experienced a restick let me tell you it hurts alot and it comes with long term damage. All due to the lack of a worker not focused and not careing for the health of the donor. Upon my first visit to this clinic, I fell victim of theft. My Electric Scooter was stolen from the bike rack located in the clinics parking lot, even though I had it chained up. Upon coming to this realization I hurried back inside to be met by a nurse who was apathetic but didn't take down details for a proper incident report and I never even got to speak with a manager before being asked to leave out the side. I'm infuriated and working with the owner of said scooter to file a police report and contact our legal counsel. read more

The staff in the back is great and easy to deal with (they are severely under staffed but do their best given the amount of donors that they deal with); however, there is an absolutely horrid nurse (very short with red hair, glasses, and an eastern European accent-do not know her name) who is beyond rude, disrespectful, and absolutely the nastiest person that I and the other donors in the waiting room have dealt with at Grifols. I don't know who this woman is, other than a "nurse", but never before have a group of people (donors) been made to feel like we are less than human, which is completely unacceptable. This woman was horrible to every donor waiting (over an hour and a half), never said anything about the wait, and grilled each donor like we were convicts. She needs to go before all of the donors go elsewhere. What a horrible experience. Some people donate to help others, some because they need the extra income, but who is she to judge? My experience over the past 6 months has not been great. I gave a one star to go to the phlebotamists. Most are ok and try not to hurt you. Most are always there when I am. I must say the blond botox lips nurse that complains about having to work all the holidays is the worst employee they have. She is foul mouthed and rude. Today she decided to tell me I couldn't donate for 6 months due to the medication I was on. This was after I jumped thru hoops to get her the documentation she asked for prior to going in today. She claims she informed me the last time I was at the center tht I would not be able to donate, but that is not true. I truly felt uncomfortable and like I was a nuisance to her. It's gotten better but still needs work. My biggest complaint was being forgotten when sitting in the recheck area for vitals to be rechecked. I end up leaving after waiting 25-30 minutes because I know my blood pressure will be even higher from being frustrated. Some of the workers are rude and don't want to acknowledged your existence. They act like they don't like you and are upset that they have to work because you're there. I treat them with respect and expect the same in return. They then took me aside and asked if I had ever had sex with a man. They cited the recent FDA changes, and claimed they only affected blood donations and not plasma. This review is more for the staff of Grifols, and less for donors, but it may benefit everyone. I'll start with the "bad" because that's what motivated me to leave a review. In short: They lost a donor due to not checking the appropriate address information. After going through the process of being a first-time donor, I was turned away after the staff failed to find my address in their "database" of addresses, which is, in actuality, a binder full of maps and addresses. Let me elaborate: When you sign up, you must bring proof of address. My proof didn't come in the original envelope, but I was told, "First time is a freebie, so just bring it next time." Okay, cool. No problem. So I sat, took a test, gave my finger prints, sat some more, had my finger pricked and stained, and my stats tested (temperature, hydration, etc). None to my surprise, I did very well on everything -- because, well, I take care of myself! I am what they would consider a "model donor." After the presumptuous threat that, should I donate elsewhere, Grifols and I would "have to have a talk" (Seriously, Grifols, this is not the way to do business. I am not an infant), I happily entered the final stage...FIVE HOURS LATER, which included having my tattoo, piercings, and ADDRESS verified. The nurse read an incorrect address, which the desk attendant recorded earlier, and so I corrected her and showed her my proof of address. She then looked in her not-so-reliable binder and told me I live in a hotel. Not a question...she just told me, "You live in a hotel." Here's the thing: I do not live in a hotel. I live in an apartment building which may have, once upon a time, been a hotel. I'm talking at least 20 years ago. So I explained that I live in an apartment building in WeHo, here is the website, here is the proof that it's an apartment building... And then, I asked, "Why does that matter? I've already agreed to bring my lease the next time, and I was told the first time was okay to not have proof." She didn't have an answer as to WHY this mattered, but knew only that, for some reason, it did. I told her, plainly, that she was about to lose a good donor. I'm timely, I'm healthy, and I'm reliable. And I value my time, so I was *not* going to come back and sit for another 5 hours. (Ultimately it would have been 6. Don't believe the website's estimated 3 hours for a first-timer. It never is. The staff said that very directly.) But, because my address was not in their hand-typed address book thingy, I wasn't able to donate. Had the front desk properly noted my address and told me I need to have my lease, or at least, check their super high-tech address folder, I would have left and returned to do it another day. But, instead, I won't donate. And I won't refer my similarly responsible, healthy, high quality friends. (By the way, how many people who go to these centers are actually able to provide a lease? C'mon. If it weren't so tacky, I'd have a hovering neon sign above my head that reads, "Does not get better than this.") And, sadly, the friend who referred me won't receive the referral credit. Major bummer! And also...just uncool. I take my time seriously and I was down to bargain: My time and plasma for Grifol's money. So, Grifols, here's the deal. And the "good." Your staff were mostly friendly and efficient. Your bathrooms are super clean, and most of the people waiting were quiet and normal. I liked that. I liked you. I liked your wifi and your security guard (he opens the doors for ladies -- bless!). But I did not like your address folder, nor your inability to decide MUCH earlier, before STAINING my finger, that I couldn't donate that day. And I super much disliked being told that I'd have to go through the process again. IF you want my hydrated, healthy, good vibe-ridden plasma, contact me and promise an expedited process next time. I took your kiosk test, I watched your vids, I did the dang thing. So if you can meet me in the middle, I will come back. And if it's successful, I will refer my friends. But if not, I expect you to give me instructions on how to get this ink of my hand, without having to pull out my finger nail. Oh, by the way...they stained my finger with invisible ink BEFORE telling me that they stained my finger with invisible ink. Probs that info should come before the staining.
