I was a donor before until they said I could waste my time going their from Santa Clarita. To be told you have to wait 30 days. And for them to make it seem like I was doing drug. Has the nurse said could be drugs ur doing or you must drink a lot of alcohol. Which I don't and I don't even drink at all. So I waited two months then went I call they could not give me a answer. About going back or not I have to drive over their n wasted my time when they could had send me letter on the mail like they say when. You can't donate anymore. I'm overweight I had Kaiser check me n they told me since Im overweight my test came out high. Maybe you should communicate better with ur donors. Instead of saying u must be doing drugs. read more

I have been going there for off and of for 2 years. Watch their "promotions" they use to get you in there and then short you when it comes to pay. Then you have to 10 times to get transferred to the right person. Go somewhere else if you want to donate plasma. read more

Formerly known as kedplasma, it changed ownership back in March but still has mostly of the same working staff as before. New donors still need to come in before 2:30 pm on regular business hours to get process & accepted except on certain holidays like memorial day, independence day, labor day, Christmas eve & new year's eve when they close early but still accept new donors, call the center for more information is also my suggestion. read more

As a long time "donor" to this facility, this is my review... Vernon & Monica do what's within their power to keep the plasma producers happy. Slower than the Biomat location down the street, though owned by the same corporation. I don't feel the pay is sufficient. I had a talk with management at this location (Michael) and the Biomat location (blonde, tall gentleman), expressing my concern with how the industry gets around the Anatomical Gift Act, which states people can not be paid for their bodily parts or fluids. He expressed the industry's idea is that they are paying you for your time. However, we know this not to be true because, 1 - you don't get paid if you show'd up checked in but then are informed you can't donate for any particular reason, 2 - the time you spend their varies on each visit, 3 - your time requires you to provide them your plasma. If you go their to provide time to them, you don't get paid if you don't provide plasma. I expressed this is how government and the medical/pharma community manipulates the system. I further explained that when a person dies, their family takes ownership of the corpse/remains. When hospitals and and Organ Harvesting Procurement Organizations take our property and keeps it for any given time, they do not compensate us for utilizing our property for a time. We also discussed the fact that the demographics who donate are largely comprised of people in need of the money. They are not their out of the desire to "gift the gift of life". Therefore, semantics with language and manipulation of facts does not change the facts. "Donors" are not donors. "Donors" are production agents of plasma, paid for their product. Of course, management from both locations and I do not expect to agree. When "donors" learn this, perhaps payment for our product payment will increase. Or perhaps enough noise can be made to start compensating families for the organ donations of their loved ones. After all, it's our product. It's a manipulative industry. However, that's not to say those employed by the industry are not good people, providing a positive experience otherwise. The employees here have always been efficient, friendly and helpful. I've only had trouble with one front desk technician. She was regularly grumpy and not interested in listening to what was needed to pass screening. I learned to be sure not to have her for screening. read more

I became a regular at this location when it was KED Plasma because the customer service and staff were consistently professional in contrast to their competitors. Since KED has been purchased by Biomat, professional service is in decline. Since the company change, the concern that has developed is Technicians giving incorrect information that have a negative effect on compensation, policies and procedures. When I address these concerns to Monica, rather than find a solution, she seeks a way to dismiss the concern. Vernon on the other hand, has a cool head and a reasonable approach when addressing client concerns. Because I am unable to get a solution at the local level, I escalate the concern to corporate in order to find remedy. Some of the KED staff are still employed at this location, while several left when the company changed. New employees have been hired while under the Biomat banner. I find that most of the original KED employees professional and courteous performance is intact. My recommendations are Mystery Shoppers, Retraining the Staff and Management Performance Review. read more

But they need NOT have Ebony work the front anymore! She doesn't properly address donors with respect, doesn't clean the kiosks... overall, it doesn't seem like she's doing her job like everyone else. Updated review: it's been a few months since I've signed up, and keep in mind I don't need the money . I save it for the most part, so I don't have to come but it does help make life saving medicine so I do it. But the experience is totally different than I had the first time. Management good job. Everyone is nice to me and those around me. Personally, I have not heard them be rude to anyone since, they seem happy, don't know what's changed, but keep it up. Others I've talked to here also have mentioned the positive vibe going around. It's great! We all appreciate it and thank you. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because more than once I've had a not so pleasant experience with being stuck. Some seem to need more training/experience , but they'll get the hang of it. We all gotta start somewhere . read more

I have been donating here for 8 years. The building says Grifols but it is actually owned by Biomat. Ever since Biomat bought the company it has slowly been going to shit. You are never properly informed of things as a donor and you are screwed out of money as well. So I would definitely recommend a different company if you're looking into donating plasma. I've been coming here of on and for years. It's a good place to earn some extra cash. But when coming here beware of somethings. First off if you come in the morning there's a manager named Monica she's is very rude and unprofessional. She doesn't even act like a supervisor. Everytime you bring something to her attention she shrugs it off likes it's not a big deal. Also the employees look like they are having a blast. Whenever they screen you for your blood pressure or poke your finger you hear about their personal lives. They won't even make eye contact with you or acknowledge you. The only thing that matters to them that moment is that have to inform their co-worker that they are going on vacation or what they did that weekend. Great staff as far as the phlebotomy/techs go. Always clean, air conditioned, good movies, never had a bad stick. Good bonuses if you add to the text list the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is cause of the manager I believe his names Michael. Not friendly at all, on one occasion I wanted to pull into the parking area on the side of the building where the yellow chains used to be and he was pulled out, not in a spot , completely blocking the way, as I inched forward he proceeded to get out of his car and literally spit shine his car with his elbow. I decided to park further away and when I walk up he's now parked directly in front of the building parked diagonally (against the grain) across multiple parking spots. So last week a donor was being extremely rude to a few employees. One employee was saying sorry for the long wait. It was not a long wait. We had the same appointment time. The donor kept being rude to the employee after they apologize for the wait time. After he kept being disrespectful to the employees someone had said something to him. When the manager Monica (with the black puffy jacket) came to talk to him he didn't mention how rude he was acting towards the employees. Monica still let him donate after the disrespect. The donor kept staring at another. The donor what are they looking at his response was "your big ass." This is not ok to be disrespectful to employees and other donors. Everyone deserves respect at all times. By the way I found out that the donor has missed his appointment time and someone had helped him to get an appointment for 7:15. So he had no reason to be disrespectful to the employees at the center. I don't like to complain but this got under my skin how the manager handle this situation. I enjoy coming to donate but if this continues I won't be back ever. read more

I give 5 stars because donating plasma has helped me stay healthier, put gas in my car for my family and save lives. Donating these past 23 months has had its ups and downs. The ups are greater than the downs. The downs are when the stick goes wrong but the current staff and I are very patient with the process. The ups are when the donation takes 75 minutes from door to door and tomorrow I get $90 for my 8th donation of the month of September, 2019. This business has helped me in so many ways. Thank you !! Staff is very nice. The company has no respect for the donor's time and the operation is inefficiently run. It is not uncommon to have to wait 1.5 - 2 hrs before actually donating. It actually cost me $$ when I donate due to lost time at my business. read more

On Feb 16, 2021, I arrived at a Grifols location in Reno,Nv. I was unable to donate to the system at Reno,Nv,not be compatible with the last location in El Paso, Tx. Staff is very friendly and the experience is pleasant. The wait to get in is sometimes over an hour. It seems they are always under staffed. Need to look at their employee retention, I think the turn over is pretty high. They have pretty good pay promotions and incentives. This could be improved to encourage people to donate more often. Maybe a progressive pay scale for the month to pay a person more to donate in a month or year. read more
