    Palak Paneer (Spinach Cheese)
    Rebecca H.

Ordered from here AGAIN because not only is the food good (please see previous review for details) but because they are open LATE. I had a mostly repeat performance. I ordered their palak paneer, garlic naan, samosas, and falafel roll. Palak paneer was good like last time. Garlic naan is essentially pizza dough with oil, garlic, and parsley (or some other herb) which is enjoyable but not quite authentic naan. This place has THE BEST SAMOSAS IN TOWN. They are HUGE. They would show up the TITANIC on the OCEAN FLOOR. They are absolutely STUFFED with spicy and flavorful potatoes and peas and are SURROUNDED by a delicious and flaky crust. You might be wondering if I've either had a stroke or just don't understand how this star rating thing works. The reason for the two star review is that under comments for the falafel wrap, I said, in caps lock: NO ONIONS. Guess what was SWIMMING in my wrap? Onions. What if I had a life-threatening allergy? You'd be burying my ass rn. The wrap was delicious and if you like all of the ingredients: falafel, tomatoes, delicious white sauce of unknown identity, they you will enjoy it. I have a serious problem with places, like this one it turns out, that can't follow simple fucking instructions. That was $8 down the drain for me.

For whatever reason, England's #1 late night takeaway food hasn't caught on in the US. I am always surprised that Kebob shops never really caught on here in this country. There's nothing better than a plate of spicy rice and grilled meat to help soak up the grease after a long night of drinking. For lunch, it's a tasty and somewhat healthy option. The prices here aren't exactly cheap (in the UK you can get kebob and rice platter for about $7 US) ... here for a plate, you're looking at $13-$15 depending on the meat. They do have gyro meat wraps for around $8 which are pretty good. Just know that you'll get a LOT of food for your money. And there's really nothing quite like Kebob Shop rice. It's fluffy and flavorful. Imagine the best rice pilaf you ever had. The meat is marinated so it's super tender and flavorful. It's halal meat ... so it's sourced in an ethical way. All meat is cruel but you can at least take some comfort in the fact that Halal meat is as humane as you'll find when it comes to that. The white sauce included is the stuff of legend ... basically a hopped up version of ranch dressing. NYC Halal food stands have become legendary and a similar taste can be had here, albeit not mixed together into one plate or 'bowl-style' with white sauce as is more common in NYC. Each dish is made to order, so give yourself 15-20 min. to wait while your order is prepared. This won't be 'grab and go' the way it is in London. The taste is fresh, so what you pay for in wait time, you make up for in quality. You can order online for pick up but twice I've pre-ordered online and I got there and they had no record of the order. So now I just order in person and wait in the car. The menu is fairly extensive and the paper menu has more options than the web menu. There are lot of different combinations. They have currys, such as chicken tikka masala as well but I've not tried those. The inside is very basic ... the outside and kitchen/order area is not for the faint of hearted. While ordering from the window for takeout, try not to look into the kitchen area. Trust me, it's better you don't. Overall, if you are looking for very tasty, fresh and somewhat healthy food ... big portions and a not-so-typical experience ... look no further. If you want a super-spotless, fast service Chipotle-type of experience, this is not your spot. Try it once and you'll know whether or not it's your thing. I had it a few weeks ago for the first time and have been back 7 times since.

This is a very clean ethnic casual dining spot. Lunch or dinner is excellent here. We met a nice man named Hammad who gave us a little extra food to sample and I will definitely order that food the next time we go. We ordered a couple lamb gyros wraps with tzatziki sauce and a Greek salad to share. We got a sample of the beautiful aromatic rice and some roasted chicken and chicken kofta. Kofta is a bit like a meatball, but much tastier. They have a wonderful array of beverages. We tried a non alcoholic malt beverage that was pomegranate flavored. I was too full for dessert, but that baklava was calling my name! Friendly service, clean place, good food. If someone in your party doesn't want ethnic food, there are quite a few American items, like burgers and chicken tenders, to choose from.

Usually I get too lazy to write reviews on a restaurant, but after taking a bite of their food, I really wanted to thank them for how delicious everything was! Especially during this pandemic, I wanted to give them extra love. I had ordered through an uber eats app and found them after seeing my regular food place closed today and was willing to try something new and I'm so glad I did! Meat was perfectly seasoned and I love their spicy rice! Although I had just ordered, I'm already tempted to order more and try all of their other dishes. Awesome portions and great presentation. For anyone interested, I had ordered a Beef Tikka Kebab plate & a chicken tikka wrap.

A hole in the wall. If you ever had halal food from the cart, this will be the closest you get to that in Worcester. We ordered 3 different things, beef gyro plate, lamb tikka and chicken tikka. Lamb tikka 8/10 Pretty good. Well seasoned and good portion. A few pieces were a little burnt but doesn't take away much away from dish. Chicken tikka 7/10 Just as good as the lamb just flavorful and good portion. Only thing was it was a little overcook which made the meat dry. But hey! I rather have it overcooked then undercooked Beef gyro plate 7.5/10 Just like NYC and the halal carts. They had the red and white sauce to drizzle on it! Beef was seasoned but some pieces were cut up so small it felt like ground beef but there was a great variety of sizes. I'm used to having thin shredded iceberg lettuce in my platters but the lettuce with the plate were cut for a salad. I prefer my lettuce thinner but it didn't affect the plate at all. Overall well seasoned and good portion. We couldn't finish it and had to take it togo.

Was in the area, wanted to try this place.

Had to go Worchester to do some errands and seen this place where I had to stop. I parked across the street near the storage place. This tasty establishment is Off the Main Street, so parking may be a challenge. I am attracted by the dozen of food pictures on the outside keeps me interested to walk in. You walk in to an open seating arrangement. The Worker there greets you with humbleness. A lot of foods to choose from and there I tried the gyro and it was a great choice for trying something here for the first time. There was a picture of it outside so now I can taste it before it even comes out. Lol. I didn't care for the price to the portion I was getting but the food was good so I guess it equals out. It took a good 10 mins for the food, not bad. Kind of reminds me of a Crown Chicken. I want to come back and try some more stuff when I'm in the area. I got a water and a beef gyro for $11.00, Happy customer here!!!

    Burnt and dried chicken

Honestly, this place doesn't deserve any stars! I'm forced to leave the 1 star. They food is HORRIBLE!!! Chicken is burnt and dried. Tossed the food in the trash as it was not edible! I wouldn't feed it to my dog. Called to speak with manager or owner, was told not there. Asked for the name of the owner, they would not provide. Place is dirty and under staffed. Don't waste your money there... McDonald's is a better choice. My first and last time going there!

Each nation has their own way of creating amazing dishes and this place knocks it out of the ball park when it comes to Iraqi Mediterranean food. The bread is made fresh, everything is cooked on the spot and sometime they do run out of stuff, that's how good this place is!

I…read morefelt like going against the grain of our usual asian vs italian vs american food delivery that we usually do and try to spice things up a little with some falafel and hummus. Enter Aladdin. Their menu includes appetizers, sandwiches, and platters. The appetizer menu has the usuals like fries and wings with some ethnic extras like samosas and hummus. Sandwich menu has many kebabs, shawarma, with vegetarian options like falafel and veggie mix. They also have a menu where you can get most of the sandwiches in platter form. I ordered the Iraqi famous veggie mix meal and Tina threw down a falafel sandwich. We added an order of fries and samosas. Their hummus is amazing. Closest I've had to authentic hummus in a long time. I didn't order a side order and I deeply regret it. Tempted to order delivery from here again just so I can order that hummus and bathe in it. The falafel is also very good. I have come across a wide variety of falafel textures and this one is more along the lines of floury rather than chickpea/grainy. They were crisp on the outside and hearty on the inside. They tasted excellent. Regarding the Iraqi famous veggie mix meal, the menu states "falafel, hand cut fried potatoes, eggplant, and samosa, comes with hummus, baba ganoush, and amba". What I actually received was a bunch of falafel, eggplant, a little container of hummus, iceberg lettuce, tomato, pickles, and banana peppers. There were zero "hand cut fried potatoes", no samosas, no baba ganoush, and no amba. Disappointing. Tina's falafel sandwich was also supposed to have "special sauce and amba or hummus". There was no sauce. Otherwise, the sandwich looked amazing. The samosas we received with our order of the appetizer were really good and stuffed with potato filling. They also included a few pieces of their Iraqi bread which was HUGE, soft, warm, and perfect to dip into the hummus. If you're in need of bread, I'd order their side of this bread which comes with 10 pieces. The prices were very reasonable but I wish they were more accurate with the menu.

However, the portion size is very good and the Tzatiki sauce is chef's kiss. The order took about 10-15 min to come out because again, it's made to order. I…read moreordered both the whole chicken plate and a muhmmara pie, and I had enough food for probably 3 meals! Keep in mind that if you order the whole chicken plate, you need to place your order at least 45 minutes in advance for them to prepare it, but it's 1000% worth it. Whole Chicken Plate - I think this is actually a Cornish game hen rather than a really small chicken, and it was so perfectly juicy and fresh tasting. Ordering takeout chicken is especially risky of being dry, but this was juicy and cooked to perfection. The spices on the chicken had just the right amount of kick, and the nuts and the rice were seasoned perfectly. I'd eat just the rice without the meat too - it was that good! Side of Mutabal - I had never had this before, but it was so so so so good! It had a sort of creamy texture to it (maybe yogurt?) and it was so rich and satisfying. I'm also a fan of baba ganoush but this takes eggplant to another level - I'm going to have to order this again and again and even look up a recipe to make at home. Absolutely recommend this gem of a side! Muhmmara pie - This was the one dish that was just okay - the pepper paste was good, but I was expecting a different kind of carb wrapping - the photos I'd seen look a bit different - this was more of a pita with the pepper spread on it and folded in half. I'd like to try again to see if it's the same thing as the other pictures on yelp or if perhaps the "pie" part of this was just different this particular day. All in all though, this was a solid 5/5. The whole chicken plate was perfect and I'd get it again with the mutabal any day!

I remembered previously ordering a Chicken Shawarma Plate. That is now in the "Specialties" section of the menu and that's what I ordered expecting to get the same plate of delicious chicken, rice, salad and hummus. I was shocked that this $20 "Specialty" consisted of a dry chicken wrap, french fries, some sort of yogurt dip and AWFUL, salty pickled vegetables. The fries were good but you don't go to a specialty Mediterranean place to get fries with a meal described as a plate. Apparently, you can no longer get a true plate of chicken shawarma with rice here. I do plan to return again some day and try the Kofta Kebab or Mixed Grill Plate from the "Entree" section since these still come with rice but everyone should be avoiding the "Specialties" plates as these are poorly executed and severely overpriced. Regardless of what you are ordering, I would highly recommend calling in your order to confirm exactly what you are going to get with your order since the online menus have no details whatsoever.
