Especially if you are reading this review. Besides, they change daily. So, here is what Mr. B and I had. Lechon paksiw (pronounced pawk see yu) - pork in a lechon sauce. Fantabulous from the aspect of having crispy chunks of pork+skin in a delicious vinegary gravy, slightly sweet and gingery. Lechon kawali - Same pork with crispy skin, but no gravy. This is then dipped in a garlicky vinegar dip before ravaging. Bbq Pork and Chicken skewers - generous amounts of bite sized meat that have been marinated in a soy based concoction similar to teriyaki, then skewered and cooked over an open flame. Japanese yakatori is similar. And...a big scoop of white rice. There are a few tables. Remind yourself, this is inside a grocery store, so no dining high expectations. Inexpensive, satisfying, very decent food, for what we tasted. However, I would suggest you get yourself in front of a mirror and start practicing lip pointing. I'm being generous with this 1 star review! The line was short today so I decided to buy 2 alacart items. 3 people were ahead of me waiting to pay. I was getting frustrated why it was taking too long. I observed that the cashier, instead of concentrating on customers paying, was also helping out with taking orders and packaging them! First time here did not know what to order or expect just look interesting. First up the Kabobs Pork n Chicken have to say very tasty then came the Pancit Palabok kind of small noodles dish. Can't go wrong with Filipino fast food. If you love Filipino food and something that is grilled, come try this place. I have not yet encountered a bad interaction with the cashiers or the girls packaging/taking my order. Nor seen them rude to customers that are not Filipino. If anything, they encourage everyone to try Filipino food. This is the only place that serves Filipino breakfast in the IE that opens super early. All others are at 10am. Not only did the employees blatantly help other customers before me even though I was there first, one of them started refilling already overflowing trays of food instead of helping me. I would rate the Rancho Cucamonga Grill City customer service as 1. As you can see, I had 2 orders, order # 473 with 8 dishes & order # 478 with 3 additional dishes. When my neice came to pick up my order for me, she had informed me they had only completed my second order with the 3 dishes. Not only did they not cook and prepare the first order with 8 dishes, they had submitted it as completed. I had 2 orders with 2 different order numbers with both having multiple dishes. I do not understand there could have possibly been a confusion. This is the 2nd incident where they have not completed my orders timely. My neice had to wait an additional 2 hours for this location to cook my order. The food was schdeuled to be prepared by 10 and the party started at 11:30am. I stumbled across Grill City today while visiting Seafood City. Seafood City is a new filipino supermarket in Rancho Cucamonga. Grill City is located inside Seafood City. Grill City was packed with people and they were having problems keeping the food stocked. They were out of the chicken skewers and pancit by the time we got to the front of the line. The line moves relatively fast. It's checking out that holds the line up. We ended up getting pork skewers and kare kare. I've never had either and I didn't like them. The pork skewers and kare kare had tons of fatty meat which I don't like. There is cafeteria seating inside the supermarket near Grill City. You have to fight for a table...at least during opening weekend. Overall, it was fine. I won't be back again. read more

I really can't understand why the service is sooooo slow, and for people that are super sensitive to cross contamination, I would pass. Most days I come in to grab a tea from Bubble Street I am inclined to grab a couple skewers, but I don't want to wait forever. Everything is pre-made and out in a steam table so I really don't understand why the line crawls so bad. The two times I have actually gotten food here there was only 1 person ahead of me, and it went somewhat smoothly, even though I waited both times for the cashier to stop chatting so that I could pay. The last time I went there were only two groups ahead of me and I waited for 5 minutes, and they still hadn't started serving the family directly in front of me so I had to bail. I've only had the chicken and pork skewers, but they were both pretty good. The meat is tender and the sauce is tasty and not too sweet. The edges are sufficiently crispy from the grill while the inside is really juicy. The main concern I have is that they are using the same thongs for raw and cooked food, as well as using the same thongs between the pork and chicken. I have seen them doing this every time I've visited, and several times that I've just been waiting for my tea next door. I'm not a food safety inspector, but it seems like that should be a food handling no-no. The grill is situated in a giant glass window where everyone is watching the skewers cook, so you can see it happening. read more

Nice and tender and juicy and the sauce is good too, not super sweet but a tad salty. I haven't tried the other BBQ items besides the pork and chicken skewer but I look forward to it. I have tried their other items Including both pancit's that they have and some sort of sour shrimp soup. Not a fan, listen to me and just stick to the BBQ items/skewers. The pancit bihon is dry and not tasty and neither is the other one. It's meant to be a quick to go place so I am not too picky about service as long as the food gets from the grill to my mouth then I'm happy. During my past visit here, my husband got the pancit and pork bbq w/rice combo; and I splurged and got the lechon and stuffed grilled bangus. Food is not salty, nor oily compared to other places. In the times I've been here, I feel like the servings have always been consistent (just enough). Pricing is fair. "Friendliness" of service varies, but whatever, it's a turo-turo place. The fried rice and turon that we had for brunch is disgusting because it taste like cooking oil and I know it is also a very low quality stuff. The other food that we tried are (12/13/2021) Kare-Kare, Palabok (or malabon), and just recently (10/08/2022) the crispy pata, oh boy it taste like the cook didn't even bother to taste it. The crispy pata is tooooo salty and over cooked and the Kare-kare and palabok, we cooked it again with the store bought seasoning and it is way better. We come shopping to seafood city often and try to stop and pick something up to eat while here at Grill City but without fail, we wait in a long line only for food to be scarce or some of our regular dishes never there. We've visited other locations snd have never experienced such low customer service and lack of food in their lunch and dinner hours. A suggestion would be, maybe put a sign, visible to customers of items that are unavailable as a courtesy in order to avoid your faithful customers from having to wait in a long line only to be told " oh we don't have those items right now." Funny things, "those items" whatever it is we are craving, are never available fresh. For example, we've been to Grill City 2x in a week and they never had Kare Kare nor palabok. Both times we came before the lunch rush about noon therefore it's not like they had ran out. Two of the workers just stared at my family and I and signaled us to keep moving forward without apologizing nor asking if we would like anything else. So rude!
