I was disappointed with how management handled my experience last night. There seemed to be confusion regarding service and communication between staff, and instead of simply addressing my concern as a guest, the manager came to my table and spent the conversation explaining how she runs the floor and how responsibilities are assigned. I want to be very clear that my dissatisfaction was not with Sam. He was attentive and helpful throughout my visit, and I understand that he was following instructions. When the new server came over, the situation was taken to management and presented as though there was a problem, which made everything much bigger than it needed to be. I have never experienced a server being pulled away in the middle of providing service to my table over something like this. That made an already uncomfortable situation even more awkward and unnecessary. What was especially confusing was that after explaining how she runs the floor, the manager even offered to have the other staff members come over and introduce themselves to me after the fact. At that point, it felt unnecessary. As the manager running the restaurant, I would have expected her to simply take ownership of the situation, address the concern, and move forward rather than explaining internal procedures or involving additional employees. My concern was with how the situation was handled and communicated by management. As a customer, I simply expect concerns to be addressed professionally without responsibility being shifted onto an employee who was providing good service and following the direction he had been given. I left feeling that this situation could have been handled much better by management.

We came here for our anniversary and really enjoyed our dinner and experience. Our server, Juan, was outstanding. We had a Caesar salad, halibut and a ribeye steak. My wife said the halibut was very good and the ribeye was grilled perfectly to medium rare and not over seasoned. The cocktails and wine were also excellent. The restaurant is nicely decorated and quiet enough to have a conversation. A couple heard we were there for our anniversary and anonymously gifted us a nice bottle of wine. All in all, an outstanding evening. We will return soon.

Food was good but service was lackluster.... Came in a large party so people were trickling in at different times. They started with getting our drink orders then just never came back, legitimately over an hour while we socialized, we had to go grab someone to take our orders. Additionally for a steakhouse, you'd think it'd be reasonable to tell the waiter how you'd like your steak prepared. However, I was denied this request because we were told it had to be the same for the whole table. So if I wanted medium-rare and my friend wanted med-well they could not accommodate. I've never heard a steakhouse say that. Absolutely baffled. We all went with medium as a result. Inside is nice, but nothing mind blowing. There were a few bugs flying around but we were closer to the outside seating/door. Food was enjoyable. - Ribeye & shrimp duo: shrimp was standard but the ribeye was very good and enjoyable - house salad: nothing special. Stated it would have avocado but not one in sight on anyone that ordered it - flatbread: decent, enjoyable - butter cake: massive big boy. Was nice but definitely shareable Staff was typically friendly, but noticing small things like knife placement was incorrect, side of serving food, slow refills on water/soft drinks, and never taking our orders could definitely be improved on. I think since we had multiple waiters come by, so they may have gotten confused with our party? The food was enjoyable but no avocado in the house salad was a bummer. Shrimp was standard and nothing special. The steak was the best and the butter cake enjoyable. I would come back just for the food but there could be improvements for sure! Service: 2.5/5 Food: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5

Summer set dinner - 1/2 fried chicken

We were shopping at Victoria Gardens last night and decided to have dinner here. We have had great experiences at both the El Segundo and Westlake Village locations. Unfortunately, this location was a bit of a letdown. The restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere, feels polished and comfortable for a relaxing casual dinner. Service was fine. We were led to the outdoor patio; the noise level was average. The adults started with a beer and an Old Fashioned, and everything seemed promising at first with attentive service by Ben. For dinner, the two girls in our group, both 11 years old, decided to share the steak frites and the cheddar biscuits. At around $40, we expected the protein portion to be a little more substantial, at least enough for two girls to share. What came out felt like a 4 ounces serving (at best) of steak with at least half a pound of seasoned fries. The fries were fine, but the steak was tough, even after we cut it into smaller pieces for them. The girls were disappointed, especially since they were excited to share something a little more grown-up. The cheddar biscuits were meh, lacking cheddar flavor. My husband had the classic burger with fries which was just okay although the patty was a bit overcooked since he asked for medium rare. It was average at best. I opted for the summer chicken plate. The salad that came with it was actually the best part of the meal. The lemon basil vinaigrette was light and really complement the romaine lettuce. Unfortunately, the chicken itself was dry and tough. Our server described it as a half chicken with hot honey sauce, but the sauce didn't really taste spicy or honey-like. It was more like a very light maple syrup. We ended up using ranch dressing to help the chicken along, which says a lot. I wanted to like Paul Martin's but based on this visit, the food just didn't deliver. With so many other dinner options at Victoria Gardens, it is hard to justify coming back when the main dishes were this underwhelming.

This Paul Martin's is smaller and not as aesthetically pleasing as the El Segundo location. I came for a birthday party with a group of about 30, and we were seated out on the patio. I ordered the braised short rib with mashed potatoes, horseradish cream, and housemade beef jus. It was really good and definitely the highlight of my meal. For my cocktail, I went with an espresso martini but swapped the vodka for tequila, and it did not disappoint. Service was great, especially considering the size of our group. Overall, a solid experience for a large gathering.

We went in for a birthday meal. We had 7 In the party and they allowed us to use the private room without a reservation. They were very attentive and helpful and they gave tremendous service. Our server Bella was great! We had Rose, white wine, Sangria, and iced tea and they tasted great. Our food items were the Asian Chicken Salad, Shrimp pasta, and Brick Chicken. The food was delicious and well made. This was a good meal and visit.

My friend heard good things about this restaurant so he brought me here, we both enjoyed the experience! He had the Alaskan Halibut without the beurre blanc, and the staff were accommodating enough to offer & give extra lemon slices in place of the butter sauce. I got the portabello mushroom burger, which our server verified with me beforehand that I was aware it does not have any meat; the burger was well-seasoned and had a perfect ratio of mushroom, spinach, red onion, avocado! The sweet potato fries that accompanied the meal were so good! Again, our server ensured that I was okay with sweet potato fries as my side Wait time was surprisingly extremely short! Even on a Sunday evening, they were able to take us without any reservation and with zero waitlist. Our orders were delivered to our table within 10-15 minutes! Highly recommend :)

Came in on Valentines Day for happy hour before our dinner reservations and was super impressed by the happy hour menu. We walked in and were able to find bar seating immediately. The bartender was super attentive and she served us immediately despite it being super packed. we ordered deviled eggs for a light snack and it came out within 10 min, before our drinks even came out, which is super impressive for how busy it gets on a holiday. I got an old fashioned and loved it. I'd definitely come again to try some of their other yummy dishes.

Came here to beautiful Victoria Gardens on a Saturday for a 80th birthday party. The menu for the event was preplanned and had many choices to select. Our meal and service was great and the food was delicious. Can't wait to come back.

My husband took me & the family here for a surprise birthday dinner. It was good! I'm not disappointed at all. My sister apparently loves this place & calls it the "poor man's flemings." Because it's the same parent company, but priced lower obviously. We all god different things but if I'm honest, the deviled eggs were delicious! I know it's something weird to point out because it's just eggs, but we as a family are picky about our deviled eggs. The steak was cooked well, but a bit small (hence price). The shrimp however did taste a bit off to me, but everyone else liked them. Overall, would try again.

November 2, 2025 | Rancho Cucamonga | While walking around the festive Victoria Gardens outdoor shopping mall, my stomach started to growl at me & I immediately knew that I needed a bite to eat! Paul Martin's was a delicious Brunch find! Yum! I'm still thinking about the delicious seafood omelette!! Seafood Omelette | A great combination of shrimp, lobster, roasted tomatoes, bearnaise sauce(similar to hollandaise) & other deliciousness... alongside, flavorful, brunch potatoes, and refreshing fresh fruit! I was in love with this dish! So good that I hardly put my fork down, besides taking a few food photos! Hahaha! Every bite was a treat to my taste buds! I'm already thinking about returning to the restaurant just to get this dish! Decor | Elegant! I enjoyed sitting at the outside patio! Customer Service | Friendly from the moment I walked in the door, such a warm welcome from all three girls, so sweet! Our server Sabrina was amazing, friendly, attentive, and helpful with our order! Thanks again! Note | We arrived just in time, as this place got really busy and the patio was packed! There was even a huge group that arrived for brunch! Overall | Absolutely yes! I'm looking forward to returning and getting the seafood omelette, as well as trying other items on the menu! Thanks again for excellent customer service and delicious food!!

Dined December 2025. Had another great experience at this Paul Martins. Took a break from shopping and this place always has a relaxing and cozy vibe with plenty of seating suitable for people watching - or - something more intimate. SERVICE: They seated us immediately (which was great) and our server Cara was absolutely wonderful. Took care of us with a friendly smile and conversation. Thank you!! FOOD: Well yummy, of course! We started with their fried shrimp and then after having difficulty choosing....landed on the steak today. Filet for the Mrs. and the Ribeye for me. Outstanding!! Their bartenders are great too. So when shopping at Victoria Gardens, make the pit stop here at Paul Martins - treat yourself!!

One of my dear friends of 30+ years has retired from the workforce recently. I am so very happy for her. Congrats my friend! I wanted to celebrate her and her retirement at her restaurant of choice. It was between Paul Martin's American Grill (PMAG) or Heroes. Well, since I'm writing this review, you know the winner so here we are. Honestly, I have never heard of PMAG until now. So glad I was introduced to it. We had a party of three... my friend, her husband, and me. Reservations are recommended so that's what I did via online. They arrived at the restaurant on time and I was 15+ minutes late LOL. PMAG is located at Victoria Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga. It serves classic American foods and drinks in a very sophisticated and somewhat romantic setting. They have an inside dining room with intimate booths and tables plus an outdoor covered patio seating area. It's quite spacious with lots of seatings all around. Perfect place to dine and wine for family and friends get togethers, celebrations, a romantic date for two or solo date, corporate events, and more. Parking garage is nearby. Our server, Justus, was super amazing! He was very professional and polite. He had a great sense of humor, too. Very attentive ensuring our requests and needs were met throughout the evening. Thank you Justus! Now to our entrees of foods and drinks. I wanted something different so I went with their Seafood Tacos. It comes with two good size tacos. I got one with grilled salmon and one with fried shrimp. You could mix or match. Both were wonderfully delicious. Salmon was perfectly seasoned and grilled. Shrimp was crispy and light. Between the salmon and shrimp, I prefer the former. Yum! I would come back for the salmon tacos! Hope they make it a 3 tacos plate rather than 2 tacos plate. Thank you PMAG!

We ordered the grilled artichoke to start, which was delicious. It comes with a Dijon dipping sauce that I loved. I ordered the macadamia nut crusted halibut that's on their current seasonal menu. It comes with an orange ginger sauce. The fish was firm and flaky, the mac nut crust gave it some nice crunch, and the sauce was flavorful. The fish comes with two sides, but I opted for a double order of the grilled zucchini. My husband ordered the sea bass that's also coated with a crust and comes with a lemon butter sauce. The poor experience began at the host stand. I had a reservation for 1:15 PM but arrived early and was sat at 12:56 PM. Despite my active reservation, when the host led me to the table, she asked if the reservation was under "M." When I got to the table and asked who "M" was, she dismissively replied that they "just put down an alphabet." I told her my name was Will, but she didn't care to acknowledge it or correct her mistake. This cold shoulder continued throughout the meal. When asked about drinks, I said "water for now," and every time I said "thank you" to our server, I was met with complete silence and zero acknowledgment. Once my guest--who is white--joined me at the table, the dynamic shifted entirely. He received 95% of the server's warmth, eye contact, and attention. The only time the server actively engaged with me was to take my physical food order. Even the food had issues--our first crab cake was served overcooked. Because my guest was the one who pointed it out, the manager came over and addressed him to replace it. While the manager's interaction was a bit better, the server's dismissive attitude toward me never improved for the rest of the meal. To top it off, I was the one who paid the bill. When the server returned my credit card, instead of handing it back to me, she chose to place the presenter book directly in the middle of the table. As a business owner, I understand how critical customer service is. The selective attentiveness and dismissive attitude I experienced today felt incredibly biased and completely ruined our lunch. I will not be returning to this location.

Compared to places like The Boiling Crab or Kicking Crab, it lacked the buttery, garlicky, and savory flavor we were looking for. Unfortunately, the sauce was the main reason my kids and I didn't enjoy the seafood. Since the sauce is such an important part of a seafood boil, it really affected our overall experience. We ordered escargot with tamarind sauce, oysters with cheese, a lobster special, rau muống (water spinach) with garlic, glass noodles, and a ribeye steak. This isn't a typical buffet--each dish is cooked to order. It took about 15 minutes since there were only two chefs, but the wait was absolutely worth it. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and served piping hot. The lobster was a whole lobster with claws, and the ribeye was a generous cut served sizzling at the table. The portions are large, and our server kindly warned us ahead of time--we're glad we listened! The owner was friendly, and the service was attentive throughout our meal. My wife and I loved this place and will definitely be coming back. It's great to have quality Vietnamese food nearby without having to travel all the way to OC.

This is a must book for you, you're friends, you're family, you're co-workers... I was so impressed…read morewith the service upon walk-in to departure. The food is excellent, fresh, made with love from the Chef! I came to visit to celebrate my sister's 35th birthday here. I had such an amazing time and this establishment gave us smiles ear to ear. The Chef(s) show their care and hospitality in the food. All entrees, side dishes-absolutely delish. Pesto chicken flatbread, potato skillet, ahi tuna tartare, watermelon salad, grilled chicken plate, my mouth is watering again! The ambience and vibe is cool. Hats off to Nancy as well. Super charming, attentive, knowledgeable of the menu. overall great customer service experience provided with Nancy! Thanks for making this evening special!

After I noticed that readers of Inland Empire Magazine had rated this place as one of the best…read morerestaurants in the Inland Empire for high-end American cuisine, I decided to find out for myself. With Diane in tow, we were pleased that a large parking lot was directly across the street from the restaurant. And as we entered and were seated in a booth in the bar area, an elegant but understated woodsy ambiance greeted us. Wanting to sample a cross-section of offerings, we began our dinner with soup and salad. Diane liked her bowl of orange-hued Lobster Bisque, and I enjoyed my bowl of hot and angry-red Garden Tomato Soup and salad of Field Greens with multi-colored Grape Tomatoes. Flatbread smeared with Herb Butter was very good, as well. A few Grilled Sea Scallops were warm and sizable enough as an appetizer, in addition to a side skewer of fairly large and tasty Grilled Shrimps. And Diane and I both raved about our chosen entree of Ginger-Sesame Glazed Chilean Sea Bass. The fish was flaky and cooked perfectly--in the league of the best we have ever had. At first I was disappointed that the restaurant was out of requested Tartar Sauce. But it soon became apparent that none was needed. A bed of Rice Pilaf served as a soft base for the fish for me, and Diane had Yukon Mashed Potatoes fulfill the same purpose for her chosen main. Specially requested French Fries were also gladly prepared by the chef. The skin-on variety, they were soft on the inside and okay overall. Throughout the course of the meal we received excellent multi-person service, led by our principal server, Marie. We expect to return for more of that wonderful Sea Bass. XXXX-1/2 stars overall for this initial outing!
