I was disappointed with how management handled my experience last night. There seemed to be confusion regarding service and communication between staff, and instead of simply addressing my concern as a guest, the manager came to my table and spent the conversation explaining how she runs the floor and how responsibilities are assigned. I want to be very clear that my dissatisfaction was not with Sam. He was attentive and helpful throughout my visit, and I understand that he was following instructions. When the new server came over, the situation was taken to management and presented as though there was a problem, which made everything much bigger than it needed to be. I have never experienced a server being pulled away in the middle of providing service to my table over something like this. That made an already uncomfortable situation even more awkward and unnecessary. What was especially confusing was that after explaining how she runs the floor, the manager even offered to have the other staff members come over and introduce themselves to me after the fact. At that point, it felt unnecessary. As the manager running the restaurant, I would have expected her to simply take ownership of the situation, address the concern, and move forward rather than explaining internal procedures or involving additional employees. My concern was with how the situation was handled and communicated by management. As a customer, I simply expect concerns to be addressed professionally without responsibility being shifted onto an employee who was providing good service and following the direction he had been given. Our server Julia was AMAZING and honestly made the whole experience! We went because happy hour is currently all day, and of course I had to get my favorites--the lemon drop and raspberry martini. We ordered the buffalo cauliflower, which wasn't really my favorite. I prefer my cauliflower tossed and toasted in the buffalo sauce rather than having the sauce on the side. The deviled eggs, though? No complaints! For my entrée, I got the tacos, but they tasted a little plain to me and weren't as juicy as I would've liked. My boyfriend got the Smashburger and wasn't a fan, but the truffle fries were GOOD! Of course I'll be back because I love their happy hour and drinks! We came here for our anniversary and really enjoyed our dinner and experience. Our server, Juan, was outstanding. We had a Caesar salad, halibut and a ribeye steak. My wife said the halibut was very good and the ribeye was grilled perfectly to medium rare and not over seasoned. The cocktails and wine were also excellent. The restaurant is nicely decorated and quiet enough to have a conversation. A couple heard we were there for our anniversary and anonymously gifted us a nice bottle of wine. Food was good but service was lackluster.... Came in a large party so people were trickling in at different times. They started with getting our drink orders then just never came back, legitimately over an hour while we socialized, we had to go grab someone to take our orders. Additionally for a steakhouse, you'd think it'd be reasonable to tell the waiter how you'd like your steak prepared. However, I was denied this request because we were told it had to be the same for the whole table. So if I wanted medium-rare and my friend wanted med-well they could not accommodate. I've never heard a steakhouse say that. Absolutely baffled. We all went with medium as a result. Inside is nice, but nothing mind blowing. There were a few bugs flying around but we were closer to the outside seating/door. Food was enjoyable. - Ribeye & shrimp duo: shrimp was standard but the ribeye was very good and enjoyable - house salad: nothing special. Stated it would have avocado but not one in sight on anyone that ordered it - flatbread: decent, enjoyable - butter cake: massive big boy. Was nice but definitely shareable Staff was typically friendly, but noticing small things like knife placement was incorrect, side of serving food, slow refills on water/soft drinks, and never taking our orders could definitely be improved on. I think since we had multiple waiters come by, so they may have gotten confused with our party? The food was enjoyable but no avocado in the house salad was a bummer. Shrimp was standard and nothing special. The steak was the best and the butter cake enjoyable. I would come back just for the food but there could be improvements for sure! We were shopping at Victoria Gardens last night and decided to have dinner here. We have had great experiences at both the El Segundo and Westlake Village locations. Unfortunately, this location was a bit of a letdown. The restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere, feels polished and comfortable for a relaxing casual dinner. Service was fine. We were led to the outdoor patio; the noise level was average. The adults started with a beer and an Old Fashioned, and everything seemed promising at first with attentive service by Ben. For dinner, the two girls in our group, both 11 years old, decided to share the steak frites and the cheddar biscuits. At around $40, we expected the protein portion to be a little more substantial, at least enough for two girls to share. What came out felt like a 4 ounces serving (at best) of steak with at least half a pound of seasoned fries. The fries were fine, but the steak was tough, even after we cut it into smaller pieces for them. The girls were disappointed, especially since they were excited to share something a little more grown-up. The cheddar biscuits were meh, lacking cheddar flavor. My husband had the classic burger with fries which was just okay although the patty was a bit overcooked since he asked for medium rare. It was average at best. I opted for the summer chicken plate. The salad that came with it was actually the best part of the meal. The lemon basil vinaigrette was light and really complement the romaine lettuce. Unfortunately, the chicken itself was dry and tough. Our server described it as a half chicken with hot honey sauce, but the sauce didn't really taste spicy or honey-like. It was more like a very light maple syrup. We ended up using ranch dressing to help the chicken along, which says a lot. I wanted to like Paul Martin's but based on this visit, the food just didn't deliver. With so many other dinner options at Victoria Gardens, it is hard to justify coming back when the main dishes were this underwhelming. read more

This Paul Martin's is smaller and not as aesthetically pleasing as the El Segundo location. I came for a birthday party with a group of about 30, and we were seated out on the patio. I ordered the braised short rib with mashed potatoes, horseradish cream, and housemade beef jus. It was really good and definitely the highlight of my meal. For my cocktail, I went with an espresso martini but swapped the vodka for tequila, and it did not disappoint. Service was great, especially considering the size of our group. We went in for a birthday meal. We had 7 In the party and they allowed us to use the private room without a reservation. They were very attentive and helpful and they gave tremendous service. Stopped by here this past weekend to celebrate my son's birthday and we had an amazing experience! It was our kids first time here and our server, Raul, did an amazing job from making us feel welcomed, to giving recommendations and describing the food, and giving excellent service. He was very attentive and professional, and we will be asking for him again! The manager was also very nice and checked on us as well, however we forgot her name. :( We tried all three of their signature steak options and they were sooo yummy, however our favorite was the blackened ribeye. My friend heard good things about this restaurant so he brought me here, we both enjoyed the experience! He had the Alaskan Halibut without the beurre blanc, and the staff were accommodating enough to offer & give extra lemon slices in place of the butter sauce. I got the portabello mushroom burger, which our server verified with me beforehand that I was aware it does not have any meat; the burger was well-seasoned and had a perfect ratio of mushroom, spinach, red onion, avocado! Came in on Valentines Day for happy hour before our dinner reservations and was super impressed by the happy hour menu. We walked in and were able to find bar seating immediately. The bartender was super attentive and she served us immediately despite it being super packed. we ordered deviled eggs for a light snack and it came out within 10 min, before our drinks even came out, which is super impressive for how busy it gets on a holiday. I got an old fashioned and loved it. I'd definitely come again to try some of their other yummy dishes. read more

I been here a few times and normally the food is good and the servers are nice but the management here makes no sense sometimes. We came in and it was busy and our server and like 2 other servers were running around everywhere and clearly had way to many tables drinks were taking forever and everyone looked stressed trying to keep up. What I dont understand is their was another server right by us who barely had any tables but instead of giving them tables the manager had them running everybody elses food and drinks?? We even watched the hosts keep going back asking the managers where to seat people and then they would just give more tables to the same servers who were already running around like crazy while the other servers look to be in trouble or something. Why not just give some of those tables to the server who isnt busy instead of overloading everyone else and then making that person help them?? The whole thing just seemed so unnecessary and made our service worse for no reason. I dont know what goes on behind the scenes but ive noticed stuff like this more then once here. The management and the decisions they make seems to make everything harder then it needs to be. Someone higher up should probably pay attention to how this place is being ran because it just looks really unorganized every time I go in for dinner . read more

My husband took me & the family here for a surprise birthday dinner. It was good! I'm not disappointed at all. My sister apparently loves this place & calls it the "poor man's flemings." Because it's the same parent company, but priced lower obviously. We all god different things but if I'm honest, the deviled eggs were delicious! I know it's something weird to point out because it's just eggs, but we as a family are picky about our deviled eggs. The steak was cooked well, but a bit small (hence price). I forget how much I enjoy this place! I took my family there to celebrate my son's birthday. The meal started with crab cake and deviled egg appetizers. My family thoroughly enjoyed them. For dinner, I ordered the salmon, wife ordered the braised short rib, daughter ordered brick chicken, and son ordered blackened ribeye. The dishes were perfectly made! We have gotten to know one of the manager, Wendy, who is just fantastic and makes us feel welcomed with each visit. Our server, Vincent, was wonderful and bantered well with our group. Throughout our evening, different staff came over to check on us. It couldn't have gone better. The restaurant is very clean and I thoroughly enjoyed the music that played in the background. It was between Paul Martin's American Grill (PMAG) or Heroes. Well, since I'm writing this review, you know the winner so here we are. Honestly, I have never heard of PMAG until now. So glad I was introduced to it. We had a party of three... my friend, her husband, and me. Reservations are recommended so that's what I did via online. They arrived at the restaurant on time and I was 15+ minutes late LOL. PMAG is located at Victoria Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga. It serves classic American foods and drinks in a very sophisticated and somewhat romantic setting. They have an inside dining room with intimate booths and tables plus an outdoor covered patio seating area. It's quite spacious with lots of seatings all around. Perfect place to dine and wine for family and friends get togethers, celebrations, a romantic date for two or solo date, corporate events, and more. Parking garage is nearby. Our server, Justus, was super amazing! He was very professional and polite. He had a great sense of humor, too. Very attentive ensuring our requests and needs were met throughout the evening. Thank you Justus! Now to our entrees of foods and drinks. I wanted something different so I went with their Seafood Tacos. It comes with two good size tacos. My husband and I dined in here for a late lunch/ early dinner. We were able to grab a same day reservation and it was not too busy. It's really nice inside or outside you can't really go wrong. I love the way the restaurant looked on the inside, the patio is completely functional. As hot as it is in the INLAND EMPIRE one would this the restaurant would have some type of cooling device to make the experience bearable like a/c and or water-cooled fans. My mom and I love going to Paul Martin's for their Happy Hour. They have a really great deal where their sandwich and taco pairings includes a cocktail, wine, or beer on their happy hour menu. I tried out their new tacos (would suggest the steak) and my mom got their salmon steelhead sandwich protein style. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to grab pictures of those because we inhaled it but I was able to grab a quick pic of the HH menu, spicy chicken sandwich, and deviled eggs. I would also suggest their deviled eggs and the hoisin glazed ribs...sooo good at a GREAT price. Michelle is the absolute sweetest--very attentive, detail-oriented, and always has great food recommendations. She always brings a smile to our faces when we see her. Oh Paul your establishment is great. I came looking to have a nice anniversary dinner and glad I picked this place. We went on a quite Tuesday evening. The staff was very welcoming and took great of us. This is an ideal place for special occurrences. A little bit on the fancy side, but you can dress casual. Pros the price and quality of the menu is top notch. Excellent staff that will make you feel welcome. I had the filet mignon with garlic butter. It was as good as a filet mignon can get. The cut of the meet and tenderness was good. For the hand finale the buttery cake is so comforting and sweet. I almost felt like taking a nap afterwards but is so tasty. We didn't have reservations for a party of 7, but they did more than accommodate us by giving us the dining room for 90 minutes due to having a party arriving at 6. Paul Martin's was our new pick for Thursday date night and it did not disappoint. Nathan, our server, absolutely made the experience. He was incredibly friendly, personable, and gave honest feedback on the menu that we really appreciated. You can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does, and we liked him immediately. The ahi tuna lettuce wraps were the star of the night, they were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. We also had the Cobb salad with steak, and the steak was cooked to absolute perfection. My aunt treated me to a belated birthday dinner here. I hadn't dined in here in a very long time. Everything was phenomenal! We shared the cheddar biscuits, and each ordered a house salad. She went with the herb crusted ribeye and I went with the filet mignon with the garlic herb butter on top. The filet was smooth like buttah! Cooked perfectly and melt in your mouth fantastic! Did my reservation on OpenTable. Got there on time, around five minutes early before our reservation. The hostess told me that the wait would be longer than anticipated. When we said that was okay because we knew it was busy, the girl told me I had only made my reservation around an hour ago and which... is not relevant but it felt a little like blaming me. Then there was a couple who showed up late to their reservation and admitted they were about twenty minutes late and they got seated before us but I showed up early and got a lecture and an additional wait. Maybe don't lecture your patrons when they made a reservation? Gustavo was our server and he was fantastic, which is why I'm giving this four stars. He was personable, efficient and had refills ready before I even finished. The food was delicious as always. Reid the deviled eggs for the first time and they are so good! I got the braised short rib and it was a perfect mix of melt in your mouth short rib and creamy mashed potatoes. I do think the hostess could have a little more hospitality but overall, a solid meal. read more

Been here a handful of times, always loved the people work here and management is always welcoming . But after last night I don't think I would bring my wife to another date here . As an older couple we always get ready and at times my wife wears provocative clothing for our dates , so I'm use to people looking . But one thing I was not ready for was for our serverto be wearing meta glasses and recording . My wife caught him multiple pressing buttons on the side of his glasses before talking to us . I didn't notice at the time but my wife told me that she seen when he unbutton his shirt to show off his tattoos before first serving us . We dined here recently, and the food and drinks were definitely worth coming back for, but what really stood out was the incredible service. We had just bailed on another restaurant in Victoria Gardens because after 20 minutes no one even brought us water -- we walked over to Paul Martin's and it was an instant improvement. Warm and friendly host staff, and incredible service from Lexi. It turned out it was her first night waiting tables without supervision, and she absolutely blew that other restaurant out of the water single handed. He was attentive, courteous, and knowledgeable about the menu items and was key in suggesting favorites to our dinner party. Not only that, Gustavo's pacing of the meals arrival was impeccable and he was diligent in checking in with us and kept our drinks coming seamlessly. First timer. Went on Memorial Day early in the afternoon; therefore, no wait time to be seated and our food was served pretty fast. We got the spinach dip, deviled eggs, two rib eye blackened steaks, and two drinks. For the amount we paid I don't think the food was that worth it, but then again everything has gone up. We paid about $225+. If you're interested and curious about dining here make sure you're open minded and have deep pockets ;) I must say the deviled eggs are pretty good and the most memorable of the dining experience. read more
